Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hello Future - Hello Galaxy S9This is one of the most innovative phones I've ever used. It has a beautiful screen with deep rich colors that make watching Netflix a joy. Also, the sound on this phone is amazing too. Truly, the future of smart phones has arrived via the Galaxy S9. I look forward to enjoying it for many years to come.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent but storage issue ..!!!I bought s9 64 GB few month ago. Its build quality and resolution is outstanding as per Samsung trademark. Now the cons, it could have dual cameras . For 64 GB more than half a space is taken by system almost 60 percent, and its increasing frequently due to updates. So very less storage available for your personal use

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Some change is not goodI owned an S5 Samsung for many years and enjoyed the phone. I decided it was time for an up I went out and purchased the S9. I noticed that on my new S9 that the contact list font and the text font is way smaller then on the S5 which for me is quite annoying. I would hope that an up date is coming to fix it. Other then a few possible privacy issues that you can opt out of I am getting used to my new phone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Horrible voice recognitionI had my s7 for several years and loved it. It got damaged beyond repair and I HAD to replace it and got the s9 a couple months ago. Overall the phone is fine, but the voice recognition and the intuitive text absolutely gets on my nerves. My s7 was near flawless in these categories. For example, I say "am i" and it types MI. I get the confusion, but shouldn't it put a real word out there first. And forget about numbers. Typing text isn't much better. I can type "lo" and it will finish it with some crazy thing like " look n lid". I have no idea what it is thinking.I am a huge Samsung guy. All my family have the apple stuff, but i have never owned an iphone and don't really care to, but this is ridiculous. If it was just one that didn't work right (typing or voice) I could use the other, but they both give me grief. Not really a fan of the curved edge either, but it's ok.I have been using Samsung phones since about 1997 and this is the first time I have had a negative issue.Come on Samsung, you can do better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not fun to useI bought this phone about six months ago and I have come to hate it. Firstly, Samsung keep trying to thrust their own apps and platforms in the user's face, even if you use Google or third party alternatives. Everything right down to the clock app and the weather widget. Secondly, the camera app is awful — hard to operate, and it can't seem to handle auto-exposure: if there's any sky at all in your photo, everything else will be dark. Finally, that stupid dedicated button for Bixby — I'm constantly hitting it by accident, because it's exactly opposite the power button, and Bixby takes a while to load and then dismiss. It's really difficult to give Samsung product feedback and when you do, nothing happens. I want a phone that respects my preferences and offers Samsung tools rather than trying to force me to use them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great phone but slow updates...I am not happy with Samsung. I bought an unlocked phone and I should be treated better by Samsung for doing so. Instead, all the carrier branded ones get their updates before my unlocked version did. And their updates are already slow in the first place.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love the phone but VoLTE functionThe device is amazing. However, I really really really do not understand why Samsung does not support VoLTE function on the Unlocked device. Paid for a normal price to use and switch carriers around, however, some carriers you will not be able to use it because of VoLTE function is not supported it. There are only a few carriers that only support VoLTE. I get that point, however, this is Unlocked Device. It should be able to connect regardless of the carrier conditions. The phone itself is just fantastic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If I could give zero stars I would.I've had my phone since April 2018, was very happy with it for a while. Got the new Android pie update in February and that happiness flew out the window. I left apple for Android because of its customization abilities and industrial style look. Then this update dropped. I literally feel like I'm back with apple. I don't know who exactly to complain to but this needs to get fixed or I'm finding another phone and software.

By tapping three lines a driver can move between them nicely. The pip makes it nice to go somewhere in between rides. Thank youI do have a suggestion. Is itca possibility to ask google to activate the app without pressing the thress lines. It would make ridessharing safer by not taking eyes off road. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great phone, but Android Pie makes it boot slowerPhone had been working flawlessly, then came the mandatory android pie update. As the phone was working fine no reason to update other than to get rid of the nag screens. Noticed no significant improvements after the update, at least for me, and the phone takes longer to boot up. Interface has more a cartoonish look to it and features have been removed from task manager. Battery life is no better either. If fact, overall the phone seems a bit slower overall. Android Pie is highly overrated. Would have given the phone 5 across the board prior to android pie update

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Speaker PhoneI purchased the Samsung Galaxy S9 from At&t business department. They ported my business line phone number to a wireless business account and cut my monthly bill. I had a very important conferance call today and when I used the speaker phone the sound was crystal clear. Everyone could hear! Excellent sound quality! I would highly recommend this phone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Little disappointed with the touch screenI recently changed from galaxy s8. I have been using this for a week now and to be honest the product does not have much improvement from the previous model. I would say the battery lasts longer and camera a little better (but not a significant improvement from s8).One thing I noticed about this is though, I have trouble typing sometimes. Especially when I am trying to type "a" or "l" on the keyboard, I find myself pressing repeatedly which was not the case with my previous galaxy s8. I am not too sure if this only happens to mine but it is very disappointing to see that Samsung did not get the basic right.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sms texting features/notification featuresThe SMS texting/notification features are NOT the same from my S6. We used to be able to designate a different notification sound for each contact like we can do for ringtones for incoming calls. But with the S9 plus we CANNOT do this anymore. Is this feature ever gonna come back, some say it's due to the Oreo OS?. PLEASE look into bringing this feature back Please!!!! I almost want to go back to using my S6 Edge again because that feature was well worth it!!!!Thanks

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I hate my phoneI have had a lot of problems with this phone. I took it back to Verizon before my 14 days were up and told them I hated it. All was done is they called customer service and they were supposed to have fixed the issues. I continue to have dropped calls, people not being able to hear me and poor service at home and many places that I had no problem with my old phone. As soon as I am able I can I plan to get another phone but I am stuck with this one for 2 years! I have told many of my friends NOT to purchase this phone. I would not recommend it to anyone. Going to Verizon doesn't do any good. It is Not worth the money! My husband has the S8 and has no problem with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great phone! But some issues to improve.I bought this 3 months ago and I feel glad to have it. I am very happy with the manual options to capture photos. You can achieve very good captures with the rear camera. However, since the last update I have found some points where it can be improved. When the navigation bar is hidden, there is too much useless space below the keyboard. Also it is not possible to move it to the lower edge of the mobile. On the other hand, I'm going to have to get used to swipe the screen instead of having a dedicated button to record videos.

I used to have S7 model prior to this one and I had it with no screen protector for at least 3 months and it still had ZERO scratches....I really like Samsung products BUT how can a product that is two generations younger have such a fragile screen????P.S. my friend has the same issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A person who is switched from IOS to S9.I do not want to persuade anybody to use it but it does done well on all feature that I needs such as Camera like a pro snapshot, quick and great smooth processor also has most important thing us long lasting battery ( I'v been useing Mid mode and HD screen mode and shut off all background app). I had been compared S9 vs X, the result is S9 has 1 steps on all hardware and abilities more than X but X has still greatest design and smooth OS, looks gorgeous. Finally I have willing every body to try S9 for one day. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from S9 is a solid leap up from Galaxy S8The audio performance is a such a huge improvement over a single speaker phone, specifically my S8, the new S9 sounds like a boombox. Great stereo. and surround sound. The overall performance is a pretty big step up, mostly due to the 845 Qualcomm, some due to the Oreo 8. Apps load quicker, and simultaneous running apps do not slow other apps in use. In the short time that I have used the camera, indoor photos are significantly better than the S8, with much better color and detail. My AR Emoji makes me look a lot more handsome than I actually am. Nice touch. Thanks Samsung. The S8 Galaxy theme is better than the new S9 theme.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it!I did pre-order and Samsung delivered the phone on time. It was very quick to transfer files from old phone to Samsung S9. After using the phone for a week now, I can tell this is my best phone by far. The image results are pretty sharp even in the low light condition. As for indoor pictures, I used the camera's flash and the result is pretty good. The app works awesomely too - I use Samsung Health Management app on daily basis, and so far so good, I use Samsung app to record my sport activities and heart measurement (by placing your fingers on the sensors). I haven't checked how the sensor works on stress level though. The speaker is great and very clear. Lastly, of course, the design is smart, flashy and charming. My previous phone was Samsung edge and I adore the design of Samsung edge, I am glad the Samsung S9 has the smart edge design as well, only this time is way better looking - less wider. Plus, I like the Always on Display Option - a fast way to check the phone without sliding it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice but needs work.Just upgraded from S6 after 2 years due to performance issues. Pros:Awesome camera with cool features even in the dark!Size is similar to S6 so not wide. Usage of full screen is great esp for watching videos.Like the pull down options menu and the pull up apps menuVoice recognition works perfectly for me, especially in my texting app.Battery life is as expected for my usage. No better or worse than the S6.Speaker and microphone are top notch. Callers don't even know they're on speaker phone until they hear background noise.Charging cable plugs in the first time, every time.Like the edge tab. Very convenient. Was easy to transfer ALL my data and settings to new phone with included adapter. Can increase storage space with optional sd card. S6 didn't have that option.More settings to turn things on and off. I can turn off almost everything I don't like.Cons:Wasn't happy about buying all new charging cables but I had to buy a new case too so I guess it comes with upgrading. Didn't cost enough to complain about really but still a con.Hate the curved screen. Makes me want my S6 back! I hate it because pressing on a link, letter, box and so forth is difficult if it is too close to the curve. You have to manipulate the screen or turn your phone sideways to succeed. I cant exit my pop up texts easily because of this design flaw. It "complicates" things. For me, this is its major downfall. (4 star vs 5)The onscreen apps, home key, back button menu takes getting used to. I'm still not used to it. I've almost accidentally deleted emails or pictures because the back button is conveniently located directly under the delete button in both of these apps. Both are Samsung apps.Haven't used the iris scanner or finger print scanner.Bixby is a pain. I don't need nor do I want all the reminders and hints. Is there a way to uninstall it? I like to do things myself.Overall, Awesome phone. I'm still finding cool things it does after almost a month.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Galaxy S9I have been Samsung loyal since the S3. They are extremely reliable phones, getting better each year. The S9 is a sleek looking phone. I have a problem with how easy it is to accidentally open up Bixby when I am trying to turn up/down the volume or snapping a selfie. Also bring back the individual text tone options! It has been on many of the previous Galaxies, why change now?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bixby is back, and now I can't disable it.I've had this phone for a while now, and haven't had too many issues with it, but it seems like a worse version of their gs5, which is ridiculous.Less customization options, etc.And they keep pushing this stupid Bixby thing on me with each update. Now I can't even disable it like I used to be able to.Last Samsung phone I'll get. Hopefully Sprint gets a deal with Google Pixel (or whatever their next phone will be) by the time I'm ready to upgrade.Oh, and the curved edge is pointless and only makes swype-typing more difficult.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Return To AndroidAfter having my first child, I wanted a phone that was going to deliver quality photos at the drop of a hat. You never know when a moment you want to capture will come up. I was on an iPhone at the time and saw advertisements for the Galaxy S9. I pre-ordered and had the phone shortly after release date. It has been my daily driver ever since. The phone does everything I need it to and more. It's fast, fluid, and the screen is unbeatable. Expandable storage makes sure I never run out of room and being able to charge my battery to almost full in a short amount of time is a killer feature. I can safely say I won't be returning to iOS after having seen what a smartphone should do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No split screenI've been s Samsung Galaxy user since I can remember and one of the features that I have always loved is the split screen. Well with this new update there's no split screen option and this is really upsetting. I also don't like how the look of apps and features within the software kind of mirror an iPhone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Custom message tones goneI just upgraded from my S6 to the S9. While I am still learning the new phone, one thing I absolutely HATE about it is that you can't set custom text message notifications for your contacts. That's very important for me to have, enough so that if Samsung doesn't update the software and add that option soon, I will be returning this phone and going with an iPhone. I have never had one, only had Galaxy, but this option is a must for me. I need to know who is texting without dropping everything I am doing to look at the phone. Samsung PLEASE put this option back. It's ridiculous that you took it off. I know I can download another messaging app in order to have custom notifications, but I shouldn't have to do that. It was an option before and should be one now!!!! Please fix it, then I will leave a better review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great phone but could be betterThis phone is great in many ways. The new camera technology is a huge improvement. Huawei can throw in 100mp camera into their phones and it still won't be a competitor. The stereo speakers sounds beautiful. The main gripe I have is with the design of the phone, don't get me wrong it's an attractive design that feels good in the hand. What I can't understand is why the phone is so much heavier and thicker than the S8? It has the same 3000 mah battery! Even the S7 Edge has a 3600 mah battery and weighs less than S9, while keeping that sexy sleek thin design that I love. For me that is a deal breaker because it doesn't feel as comfortable to hold, especially once you put a case on. Another thing I'm not so pleased with is, what's up with the extra long phone? No real point to have a long screen, we will be scrolling down or up either way lol and that gives us that weird 18:9 ratio. I feel like Samsung did the best job on the S6 edge when it comes to overall specifications of the design with it being much lighter, thinner, etc.. but if that stuff doesn't bother you as it did for me by all means this is the best phone to buy on the market right now and you should buy it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Common Moisture Detected problem!!!!!! WONT CHARGEI bought this phone in November 2018 and now June 2019 stopped charging saying there is moisture in the port! I had to go buy a wireless charger which is a hassle if I want to use it in the car ect. my mom has a Note 9 and its doing the same thing. While doing research I have seen this problem pop up a lot. Will be thinking about a different brand next time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrible phoneListen it does all the basic stuff. But the camera is TERRIBLE. If you record concerts or anything you will be EXTREMELY disappointed. The audio it picks up whilst taking video is absolutely terrible. I'm in a band- I shoot video. Basically the symbols always pick up over everything else and it sounds like garbage. Also there is this button for Bixby- some app that you can't get rid of.Also I can't upload music onto my phone from my laptop- it doesn't recognize it at all. I can't even get files from my phone to my computer (so yes I had to email all 100+ photos I've taken via email)It's terribleBottom line- it's horrible, not what I expected at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SO LOOKING FORWARD TO GETTING ONE OF THE BEST HANDWe got our phones in early May. They were awesome. A couple of days later we recieved an update from Samsung (that APR 1st update). Our phones began roaming, the "pending email" icon is stuck, most of our app notification updates popup but don't make a sound. I'm thinking of returning them and try to find something more suited to our needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Samsung Galaxy S9 - Battery charging problemPurchased a Samsung Galaxy S9 and it seems that the phone is having battery or charging problem. I highly think its battery problem since I check the charging and remove the charging cord. Battery drains super fast and heats up the phone while charging. Also noticed that I did not receive any type of accessories such as fast charging Or DeX Pad although there was a promotion going on at the time when I purchased the phone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I've had nothing but problems with phone callsI've had this phone for less than a year and have had so many issues with making a phone call, or receiving a call. People cannot hear me speaking. I've been through countless self helps for this issue and none fix the problem for good, I'll go a few days and then the problem will resurface. I'm now trying a factory reset, and guess what the S9 seems to have issues with that too. Worst phone I've ever had, who cares about a camera is making and receiving a phone call is so darned hard? It is a phone after all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bixby, Samsungs' MS BOB. Note 9 not goodI had MS BOB in the 80's, it sucked but it was at least functional, Bixby is the worst forced app I have ever had, adding that stupid Bixby button takes away being able to use several car mounts. So why is Samsung wasting our time. Totally disapointed in Samsung, for the first time ever. Battery life is not much better than my 3 year old S7+, I do have the added benefit of the Note 9 becoming a hand wamer, my S7+ never heated up. On a positive note, the yellow pin is pretty, well as long as it stays in the phone when you putbit down. Come on Samsung, scrap Bixby, and focus on better hardware.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, until the Pie UpdateWhen i got his phone in 2018 I absolutely loved it. It was the best phone I had ever gotten I enjoyed this great quality and freedom for months. All of this changed dramatically when I was forced to install the Android Pie update. This changed nearly everything i loved about having the phone. I am also unhappy with the navigation bar. it used to be super convenient, but now on most apps, there is a half-inch of digital bezel space that i cant get rid of. There is no sense in having a phone with no home button, only to have it put back in in an extremely annoying manner. the worst part is, it conceals itself completely on some apps like it used to, but now it only does it on half. I also find the new icons horrendous. I loved this phone a lot, and I realize this does not all fall on Samsung. If there was a way to downgrade to Oreo i would take it gladly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bluetooth 5.0None of my Bluetooth devices that paired with my S7 will pair with the S9. It seems the new 5.0 Bluetooth technology refuses to connect with Bluetooth 4.1. Samsung needs to put out an update to correct this situation. I have remote speakers, Samsung headset and Home Theater that are useless at this time. Had I known, I would have kept my S7. Buyer beware.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous new S9I am falling in love with my new S9. Beautiful display fast and responsive. I got the lilac and its really fantastic in appearance. The view-thru case is a real plus as well. Samsung made the linking and transfer of my old materials on the S6 easy and complete. It charges fast even in the US.My only issues were FED-EX delivered it to the wrong address so it took me 5 hours to find it after it was delivered. And the wrong SIM card was included. Thanks Samsung, this is a beautiful device!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very disappointedFor one it is not good for calls. Makes people sound Muffled. The text messaging you cannot Customize can't even set a different tone. You can only choose what Is already pre programmed in the phone. Voice texting completely sucks. This phone has really cool features that I will probably never use. The speed of the phone is pretty good too. Would I recommend this phone probably not I would say wait for them to work the bugs out of it. Can't wait to change phones.

It's the same ordeal I had with all samsung phones in the past...I buy unlocked phone . So everything is my responsibility. You should think that spending 500$+ on a mobile would at least be a quality product... but samsung uses cheap plastic and glass on their phones. It's all a strategy so that users keep buying new replacement phones

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice phoneComing from the S7 to the S9 is a big improvement! The camera is beyond amazing!! It'll make you want to wear a full face of make up just to hide the blemishes you didn't realize you had until you look at the pictures. My only critique is that the emojis could've been upgraded to showcase the diverse customer base Samsung has....are we all yellow?? If it's competing with Apple, it's loosing there...same for the self-emoji. Being a black woman with curly hair, my emoji looks NOTHING like me. I doubt I'll use that feature since it is supposed to be custom to reflect the user of the phone...right? Maybe I lost the point of that feature, but it's not relevant to me until it actually has more options to look like me. Overall good phone though. 2 thumbs up!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keyboard is the WORST!!!I'm not really sure why a company as big and technologically advanced as Samsung can't build a keyboard that doesn't constantly autocorrect "and" to "ands" or "it" to "ir" or "do" to "di", or a million other non-words that it puts into texts. We shouldn't have to switch to a 3rd party app to be able to write texts without constant correcting. Other than this, the phone is decent, but this is a significant factor that should not be that hard to fix.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does not feels like a flagship!First of all, battery life is terrible! It would not last half a day for me. It drains bad even on standby.I have a US unlocked Variant, Security Patch is of February (4 months old). It still runs on android 8.0. While even midrange phones are getting timely updates and security patches (Thanks to Treble); This flagship is lagging 4 months in security update and might take forever for the OS update.I also have an issue with the microphone, The other person can't hear me for some part. The situation gets worse while using an app like Whatsapp or hangout for the call (I use it on wifi). While the phone has a ton of extra features, the basic functionality is not up to the mark.Peace !

When getting a new sim card installed and fixing program errors my phone went to pie. Phone signal seems worse drops calls more often. Wifi signal isn't there, have to be in same room or just in next for use.My email hasn't worked right since, battery life was horrible due to Bixby. Which sucks that you can't turn it off without signing up. Multiple apps no longer ping notifications. Even after I spent the time to factory reset phone these problems are happening.Looks like my next phone will not be a Samsung if they keep Bixby.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from stunning device with lots of handy customizationIf you are looking for a phone with no notch & microSD & a headphone jack this currently the best there is.pros: microSD storage expansion, water-resistant, has a headphone jack, one of the best cameras, stunning display and design (black model is like a pure onyx bar). Lots of customization through theme engine, and with the exception of Bixby all the extra Samsung software is great (such as swiping from the edge to bring up favorite contacts and apps). cons: probably more fragile than normal phones due to (curved) edge display.

I WISH I COULD TURN IT OFF because it pulls down when I'm on the phone. I can't use the phone up to my ear. Also, on Wifi, the emails won't download and I have constant connection issues with my Messages on Web (Google Product). Will likely turn this phone in for something else. WHat the heck well I downloaded goggle keyboard. Then it's hard to close your apps there not enough room or space since they did away with the keys. It like having an iPhone. If I wanted an iPhone I would have brought one. Its actually not so hard to switch cause its really user friendly. I am actually a camera addict that's why I really loved it, especially the AR Emojis! My friends also love it when I use it while I'm taking a video and singing my favorite songs for my hubby. I can actually use it all day without charging. There was a time when it logs but its pretty fine, you just have to wait a second or 3. Overall I really love it. I am actually recommending this to my friends already.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Phone YetComing from the S7, this was a leap forward with a larger screen, faster everything, larger/better/ brighter display, powerful features. Samsung made it easy to transfer everything I chose to transfer from the old phone. The S9 uses a USB-C connection so I'm having to order new charging cables for car and work. The S7 charger works though, just not the cables. The sound on the S9 has greatly improved. Can actually hear things in music that I never could on the S7 via speakers. The only issues I've come across thus far is the ability to assign a specific SMS tone to certain individuals. So far, all I see is the ability to set a ringtone and the default notification tone is always used for SMS. Got the phone yesterday. Woke up this morning and it had a software update waiting. Samsung is a step ahead. Using this on Verizon. Just swapped SIM from old S7 to the S9 and worked like a charm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Galaxy To DateI absolutely love my new Samsung Galaxy S9 in replacement of my S7. So far, I have not experienced any issues in relation to the device. Everything has just been a breeze with the hardware down to operating Android 8.0. At first I was a little confused about the device being more tall compared to previous models but it works out perfect for holding it with one hand. I get roughly about 2 days on a single charge which is not bad figuring I'm on the road all the time traveling an average of 250 Miles using GPS, streaming music, and constantly emailing my Clients.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Last Samsung PhoneThe phone itself works perfectly; just as I expect from a Samsung product. However, these curved screens are horrible. Theres no functionality behind it and I don't feel they're even aesthetically appealing. All they do is make it difficult to find a case or screen protector that are ACTUALLY WORTHWHILE. My next smartphone purchase will be a Google product...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loyal Samsung customerI've been buying Samsung phones since 2012 and I'm always very happy with them and so far the S9 lives up to my expectations. Instead of having to wait in the store while the sales person transfer anything you now are able to do it at home on your own time and the start up was very easy. I especially like the new feature of the edge so instead of having multiple screens for the apps I just have that 1 little sidebar that's hidden. I also like the ability now to leave my phone unlocked in "trusted" places which is nice when I'm home. My one complaint, and it seems small but that's a pretty big to me is you can't individualized text message alerts for people so I can't tell right away if it's my mom or my crazy ex boyfriend texting me. Please bring back this feature on the next update.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good phone, but hate the "edge"Samsung: I hate the curved edge, please give me the option back to not have it. It makes it impossible to click on small things that are along the edge and you end up hitting the stupid side menu bar and opening that on accident. If you aren't doing that, you're accidentally hitting the Bixby button which NO ONE USES. Other than that, the phone is comparable to my S6 in quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Forever Samsung!I love, love, love this phone! However, since the most recent system update that occurred June 17, 2019, something screwy is going on while texting. As I am typing out my text, the cursor will sporadically move to the beginning of the message on its own. This is driving me nuts! Please, Samsung, put out a bug fix for this so I don't throw this phone through a window or something. Thank you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from derivative featuresI bought this a week ago, I'm not happy with it. It's incredibly annoying. There is one notification sound for all your notifications you can't have different sounds for different app notifications. So I can't tell what's what when my notifications sound goes off all day. The phone is great in the areas I don't use or care for. The areas I assumed it was great, it wasn't.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from S9 Sucks NowAfter a recent update the phone is completely trash. Why update a phone that is almost perfection, why update something is already good. S9 new update has my phone acting up in so many places, would be nice if we could uninstall phone updates and get the old versions back. Would not recommend if updated to newest form.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One word: Bixby!I could share my disappointment with the overlarge size of this phone, the lack of responsiveness on the touch screen, the inflated price, lack of hi def and the unbelievable amount of bloatware on it... But all of that pales compared to the disaster than is Bixby! Not only do I not want it, finding out that Samsung has dedicated a button to it that interferes with the volume buttons about half the time - adjust the button and here's Bixby telling you that you haven't yet set things up.This phone went back for a refund and I had my old Galaxy S5 reactivated. Unless and until Samsung fixes this Bixby nightmare, this might me my last Samsung phone. What a complete disappointment! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointed..I bought this phone because my S7 edge screen shattered and repairing it cost almost half as much as the s9 did. At first, the phone seemed to be a huge improvement. Much faster, sleeker, easier to hold, better quality camera and battery among other improvements. But during my 4 months of having it, I've experienced many apps crashing, the phone freezes a lot, and the user interface can be a hassle sometimes as well as connectivity issues. These issues have made this phone not as enjoyable to use as the S7, even with the many improvements it has made.I don't think this phone was worth the cost. Honestly I was much more satisfied with my S7. I'll give samsung one last chance with their next flagship, or else I'm gonna have to switch manufacturers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good all around phoneAnother Samsung phone. I've been using Samsung's phones since the galaxy s3, the reality is the galaxy s9 is good all around but not perfect, there's the notorious lag & don't even let me get started on the updates i have the unlocked version and you'll think you'll get fast updates on the contrary. If you're looking for fast updates and lag free phones then you need to look at something like the pixels phones or the lg.. would not recommend this phone if those are your priorities..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great phoneGot my Galaxy S9, and like every time Samsung did a great job. Pretty much happy with this phone until now. Apparently I missed the offer of free Gearfit pro2 because I bought my phone a couple of days earlier before this offer started. Otherwise a great phone!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Screen scratches too easy and the GPS sucksI thought I was getting an upgrade from my S7 and S8 active.. NOPE.. The screen took some deep scratches within days of getting the phone.. I have never had a phone gouge like this.. And now after only a few months of using this phone the GPS signal is terrible and others that I know that have the phone have the same issue.. Last I can tell the phone is slower and the battery not holding a charge like it did when new.. My S7 and S8 have lasted longer.. What a shame...

No matter how high i put the brightness i still struggle at times, especially in the sun to see anything. Ive changed the settings multiple times but even then to see anything properly i have to be in the shade

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Galaxy to date.So I gave 4 stars. Only reason that is, battery. At 3000mah and the power behind this phone it doesn't match up. Would like to see a Mophie case soon. I keep it on med battery saver and it can go 2 days with moderate use. Little over a full day with heavy use. If its left to it's own full potential, with full use, your looking at a half day to 3/4th. So my only gripe is the battery. Like I said, a Mophie case would be great, then there shouldn't be any issues with battery. The s9+ does offer 500mah more at 3500mah, but again, with 6 GB of ram and the power of the phone, cant see that making the plus run much longer, give or take 3-5 hours on max use. Having said all that now to the good stuff. The unboxing was awesome. I got the midnight black and it just looks so sexy to the eye. That Corning gorilla glass 5 is nice to the touch and makes the over all build sleek and easy to handle given its dimensions. The screen is amazing. I have had the phone about 3 weeks now and maintain at FHD. I haven't had use yet for uhd but if it's anything like the FHD I know I'll be impressed. Pictures and videos are so vivid and real, the added infinity screen just brings video and photo over the top. I have also been using both as standard, I have yet to play with any features which themselves are incredible enhancements. The sound. It's just stupid incredible, must be heard to believe. Simple as that. UI is simple. The added advanced features get some getting use to but once intermediate level is achieved the phone becomes far more advanced than you can imagine. This review is after 3 weeks and using it on its standard level. I am getting to specials now so I will make a review about that soon enough. But so far this phone is unmatched. My friend at work has the iPhone x and we compare every day and the Galaxy wins every time. More reviews to come. Starting out though. Its incredible. I'm very pleased and look forward to accessorizing this to the T. Worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Front camera cropped, can't take a decent pictureOriginally I probably would've given it 5 stars but after the last update the front camera crops all pictures. You can't even tell until after you've taken it. It's horrible and selfies are almost impossible now. It literally ruined this whole phone. I'm so mad I wasted so much money on this phone that I can't even take a good picture with. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE phone!!! I will NEVER buy Samsung again!!!!!!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good phone, could be betterWas a long-time user of various Galaxy models, decided to upgrade to S9. Overall this is a pretty decent phone - really like that Samsung still uses the wireless charging and the fact that this (just like S8 before it) is the ONLY Android-powered smartphone that supports VoLTE/Wi-Fi Calling for ALL carriers in USA, even if you will buy carrier-free "unlocked" model (which you can easily flash with carrier-specific firmware). For example, I purchased the carrier-free, "unlocked" S9 straight from Samsung, then flashed it with carrier-specific firmware, now I have working VoLTE and Wi-Fi Calling on Cricket network.Only major "con" is that the battery capacity is pretty average. Other smartphone manufacturers are not afraid of putting 4000 mAh batteries into their flagships, Samsung should do the same, even for regular S9 models.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A solid all-rounder.It's no secret that the mobile phone market is a highly competitive one, and between Apple, Samsung, and that Korean company Google doesn't want us to mention, choosing a handset can be rather daunting. Now that the S10 has come out, however, it's become apparent just how great the S9 really is.First off, buying this phone outright won't break the bank anymore, as even the most expensive models don't wander above the £500 mark. Fans of the Android OS will be happy to learn that it runs Android Pie (9) with no issue and looks stunning, and fans of older OS types will be happy to learn that Lineage OS is coming to the handset early next year. The phone itself is a sleek, minimalist thing of beauty; with the only interruption to the perfectly flat edges being the buttons, and the camera assembly, all of which only stick out about 1mm from the body. The reception on EE is wonderful (but isn't it always?) and the speakers used for media are surprisingly powerful for such a small package. The S9 packs a shockingly decent rear camera too, with Samsung's 'pro' mode allowing me to take some shots that were approaching the level of detail my Nikon D90 can give. The front camera is rather good too, nothing to write home about, but still very good quality.Unfortunately for some, the S9 charges via USB-C, so this means replacing some cables, but in better news it has a fully-functional 3.5mm headphone jack (hooray!) so listening to your favorite tunes won't be as much of a struggle as it would be if you used a phone made by Samsung's fruit-based competitor.Apparently the S9 is also waterproof, as it boasts an IP68 rating, but I wouldn't be caught dead dunking mine underwater on purpose; so I can neither confirm nor deny the validity of that rating. To sum, if you're looking for an outstanding phone at less than half the price of the current generation, then look no further; you've found it.
