Rated 5 out of 5 by from very useful the strap is very helpful. I have child sized hands and having the Latch II on my Galaxy Tab 3 helps so much when it comes to holding my tablet and using it. My hand barely stretches across it to hold it, making it very difficult to hold. The strap makes it like a 'camcorder' or a baseball mitt and my hand is very snug underneath and I don't drop it. I have my hand inside it when I'm laying down using my tablet and it's much easier and more comfortable than before. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to use the shield that came with my Galaxy Tab 3 Otterbox with the Latch, but with the shield snapped onto either the front or the back of the tablet the Latch still fits over it. The Latch strap does not make it stand propped up angled like the shield does, but I'll take it because it's more comfortable to have on my stomach when I'm laying down than the shield stand. I received this free from Otterbox for when they gave me a $60 credit for my phone case being discontinued so I can't complain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It takes a beating Working inside of a data center one might think that the cell phones are going to get abused her knocked around, will you are wrong. I have an iPhone 7+ and have dropped it from 4 to 5 feet while on the latter, knocked it off the table onto the hard floor, left it in my bag when I've thrown in the back of the truck in many other abusive things. I have never had a broken phone that has been inside of an OtterBox. I recently got one for my iPad. Though I haven't dropped it from 4 feet, it does get tossed on the desk regularly and thrown in the back of the backpack and into the back of the truck. I guess I should be more careful with my electronics but I am confident in its protection if it's in an OtterBox. If I can only wrap myself up in an OtterBox I think I would be good

Rated 5 out of 5 by from lacking in durability I have used this particular unit for over a year now. I have gone through maybe seven of them. The original one had a tough set of canvas corners but this one has cheap rubber and tears easily at the ends where the strap goes through.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not good for Horizontal Use I love OtterBox, had them for all my phones. I have to carry a iPad mini 8 hours a day in the horizontal position, and this handle is not ment for that. It is well constructed, but it should have a swivel handle.

It is well designed and if you get the accessories, which I recommend, you can hang it or secure it to other places, like a leg when you are sitting. Anyway, great product.

I use it all the time to carry my mini hanging off my belt or pocket with the included S-clips in the accessory pouch. The shorter elastic and rubberized corners grip well and hold it securely in the carrier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great protection I love the carrying case as I can safely take my tablet anywhere; however I wish I could take photos with the lanyard around my neck. I took my tablet to a Mardi Gras parade and I was concerned about the extreme congestion and chances for possibly damaging my equipment due to people jumping for beads. Is it possible to modify the design of the case to include a cutout for the camera port? Now I have to take it out of the case to use the camera.

It was so much easier strapped to his leg. I was so impressed I ordered one for myself and I think it's a no brainer as an accessory.It works great as a stand and carry all.Durable construction.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Otterbox Samsung Tab protection Just want to Say GREAT PRODUCT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the protection is like Ironman with his suit! The assecories are great, pouch to put the ear buds and charger chords in! The only thing I have complaint about is and it's not a big deat is the leg stapr, my legs are too small and and cant get it to sit comforfortably when driving......... With My job I need to look at maps and the strap is too big................. But it's not a major thing, in the winter I drive salt spreaders and need to look at maps, but the way the system is set up I can just set the tab on the dash! Great equipement! Looks like military hardward!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great thought put into it and it is well worth the money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love it! When I get bigger tablet, will go with the same gear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Richie

Almost everyone with an iPad on an airplane does 1 of 2 things, they either hold their iPads or have to pull their tray tables out just to watch a movie. Using the Utility Latch I wrap the carrying strap around the back of the seat in front of me and presto, no more having to hold your iPad which frees up my hands to work, type, etc! The straps work on 1st class and coach seats, I get asked literally every flight where I got the strap from!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good product with poor latches I purchased this latch for my Tab T325 8.4 inch which suits it well and the grab handle is super yet the latches on the edges are so stretches that makes you feel it will break apart any second... i would have rated this product as perfect if the latches were of better design. another issue is that the straps blocks the camera, so whenever i need to take a picture with my tab, i have to pull the utility latch off which is very annoying.

Would like to see the handle be able to adjust so that you can hold it on the horizontal. Also if the carry bag was a little bigger so it could contain the charger and cable. Other wise very well made product would recommend to any one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from a great i pad accessory I'm a landscaper and often use my i pad both for work and when grocery shopping. I carry the pad in my purse but wanted a way to keep it secure but accessible when i was using it on the job or shopping, without tucking it back in the purse. The upgraded Utility Latch solves the major criticism relative to the older version about the pad potentially falling out of the Latch. Yes, you do have to use an Otter Box case (and why wouldn't you?) but if you do there's just no way that the pad will fall out of the new Latch. The retaining straps on the Latch don't interfere at all with the screen size of the pad. The hand grip is very comfortable and makes the pad easy to actively use while walking around. The shoulder strap allows me to keep the pad handy and secure when i'm not immediately using it. I was surprised that the i pad with the Latch doesn't take up much more space in my purse than the pad without it. It's also very easy to remove the Latch if you don't need it for a while. With the friendly customer service from the Otter Box folks you couldn't possibly do better! All this good stuff to say about a fine product and no, i'm not an employee or friend, just a happy Otter Boxcustomer!

It still fits well despite being designed for 7 or 8 inch devices. It's holding securely despite being designed for multiple sizes.

While have a defender to total protect the ipad, this just a a greater degree of protection and ability to hold the ipad while typing on the ipad. Really great

My husband works in a pretty rough industry where falls and breakage are a distinct possibility. This Utility latch makes it easy for him to hold onto and use the ipad at work while the case protects it from possible falls. The two together are a wonderful combination.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Note 8 on the job I purchased the Otterbox Utility Latch for use on an industrial jobsite. I had purchased the Samsung Note 8 earlier to help me carry my contract specifications around in a more compact form. While I liked the Note 8, it was difficult for me to hold in my relatively small hands for long periods. I saw the Otterbox and thought it would help. It does. The fit and finish are excellent. I expect to get years of service out of it. The strap on the back allows me hold the pad without having to actually grip it, much more comfortable. I have only two minor criticisms. First, since I prefer to use the pad tilted sideways (landscape mode?), the hand strap on the back runs the wrong way. It is not adjustable. Second, the backplate of the assembly covers the camera lense on the backside of the pad, preventing it's use without removing the straps. This means I still have to carry my digital camera. Neither are crippling deficiencies to me, just irritations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Fantastic Accessory I really like the idea of this product. I have young kids, dogs, and am a train commuter. This allows me to securely hold my tablet on the run or during those pop up emergencies when I need to move quick. Because this is a generic item meant to be used for many different tablets it does leave me wanting for a few things. 1) It covers the camera on the back side of my Samsung Galaxy Note 8. 2) The rubber band style corners are a great compromise for mutli-model flexibility. But they just don't look great.
