Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have confidence in dropping my phone I had my previous otter box case for four years with no damage to my phone, so I knew I had to get an otter box for my new phone. I’ve had the new case for two weeks and it’s already protected my phone from drops down stairs and drops onto concrete with no damage to my phone. The case also still looks new despite hard wear and tear already. Minimal scratches but that’ll happen when it frequently gets dropped into concrete (I’m a klutz). The only thing is with the alpha glass screen protector, there’s less than a 1/8 in gap between the protector and case. This means lint and crumbs get in there but it’s hard to clean. However that’s a price I’m willing to pay for unmatched protection for my phone

Was great being a slimmer fit on the phone but the clear back scratched too easily and the pursuit case wasn’t very grippy. Ended up buying the defender case although it is a tighter fit in any car mount due to the width. I wouldn’t recommend the Pursuit case if you want to put it down and not have the back of the case marked or scratched.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Even better I spent the last three years with an Otter Box case that lived up to all promises. This one looks to be even better. I like the feel, size, and workmanship. I like the forward directing sound openings, and the feel of the buttons. The color is "fine" but not overly exciting. The cost is the only factor that keeps me from giving this 5 stars, but since I'm always on the move with the phone in my pocket; I'm counting on the protection for my expensive XR to make it worth the cost.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A bit disappointed Have used Otterbox exclusively for a number of years. I recently purchased one for my new iPhone with a clear backing. I’m disappointed in how easily it scratches as well as it does not have that rubber backing so it slides easily in the car etc. For the price I expect much more from Otterbox. I wouldn’t purchase this particular one again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tough case, good protection but doesn’t look good I love how sturdy this case is and I feel that my phone is safe in it but the back is already ruined. I’ve had it for only two weeks and haven’t dropped it or scratched it but because the clear back is so delicate just putting it down on a table or carrying it in my pocket leaves a mark on it. It looks like the case is a year old after only two weeks. For the price, it shouldn’t already be that damaged looking just from everyday use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happier than my previous Lifeproof case Got my new XR and wanted the protection of my previous Lifeproof case but avoid the issues of the speakers being muffled. This case is the perfect balance. The pursuit case seems harder to find in stores but a good case for protection, size, and ability to hear the speakers!! It’s larger than most cases but smaller than the 6plus with Lifeproof. I feel comfortable giving my phone to my 4 year old.

I’ve always loved Otterbox cases...usually use the symmetry series, but thought I’d give the new pursuit a try. Although pretty pricey, I do feel it gives my phone a great deal of protection while not being bulky at all. Covers over the lock screen and volume buttons are easy to push and I like the rubber cover over the charge port. Most of all I love the color...grayish purple with deep purple accents...feminine but still mature.

The biggest plus is that my conversations are clear and both parties hear. The only think I would like to see is a cover over the mute switch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfection for me I've now purchased 3 Pursuit Series cases for my iPhones. The first was for my iPhone 7 Plus. It was awesome! Then I upgraded to my iPhone XR and bought another one. Then I was assigned a phone for work, and bought another one! The improvements are great! I love how simple the installation is, and the protection is still amazing! The forward facing microphone and speaker ports are a great addition, making direct listening at low volumes possible. The jury is still out on the Lightning port cover, but I'm confident that it will be good in the long run.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Case! I've always used the Defender series cases for my iPhone but since the phone got bigger I wanted to try a slimmer case so I went with the Pursuit series. It still allows the phone to slide easily in/out of pockets, bags, etc.. It also provides a little bit of texture so that the phone doesn't slip out of my hands so easily. I was nervous about the lack of a screen protector but one of the things I hated about the Defender series was that if I did any kind of hiking, biking, running and got sweaty then the case would always end up with some moisture between the screen protector and the screen making the touchscreen almost impossible to use. This didn't happen for me yesterday when on a sweaty hike. I ordered the clear case so I can still show off the color of the XR. All in all I like this case.

But I got the one with the clear back to show off the blue on my XR and it’s all scratched up already after a week. For that price point it’s a little disappointing..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great protection i purchased a xr phone and the black clear enables rear of the phone to be observed i love the fact that the red color of the phone can be observed Since red is the top choice i wish a option existed to replace the black trim color with either a clear or red border to match the color of the phone i would purchase a different color trim or clear if made available the phone without a cover is just too slippery and a accident waiting to happen this is my second outerbox one was acquiref for my iphone six and i was so happy i purchased one for the xr

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome case! I've been using this case now for a few weeks and have had no issues. I was looking for a case with low-profile port covers and dust protection. This case is perfect for my needs. I'm coming form the iPhone 6 in a LifeProof Nüüd case (no built in screen protector) and find them quite similar except nothing protecting the camera, not waterproof and no stupid clip flap (that always broke on my LifeProof Case). Although the extra material at the bottom adds a bit a bulk, when I watch videos I never cover the speaker (because it redirects the sound forward). Compared to my old LifeProof case, the microphone was perfectly clear as well. I am also using the Alpha Glass screen protector, which is also perfect (except they should come with two in the box when you inevitably mess up the first time). We will see if the rubber loosens around the edges over time but so far no concerns!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product, lackluster options This is a great phone case. Best phone case I've ever had, hands down. If the Defender is a tank the Pursuit is a light tank. And with the Alpha Glass I have no fears taking this thing out into the field, or farm really [though I do wish the Alpha Glass covered further to the edges where the case is]. Absolute worst color choices I've ever seen, however. Considering OtterBox bought a competitor with amazing color designs, you'd think they could afford more pigment options on the main lines. And since the new iPhones have amazing new colors themselves, it's a shame the clear cases were out of stock with no hint to when they're coming back out. So I got the saddest, drabbest purple on Earth because it was in stock & not as easily confused with the ubiquitous black case. In the customizable case option, all the "good" color choices were out of stock as well. I flood-filled the OtterBox logo with a bright nail polish just to give the sad thing some life. Stinks that an amazing phone in bright coral in a great quality, expensive case looks so so sad. Overall, great case, great protection for an expensive item! But holy cow, grow a colorful spine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect fit, function, and quality This is a quality case that absolutely protects the phone while showing the new anodized back cover through the clear case. A welcomed bonus feature is the speaker sound ports that shoot out the front of the phone instead of the bottom. I didn’t think this would make a big difference, but it makes hearing the sound a lot better than even cupping the phone bottom as was necessary before. Although the clear plastic is starting to get a few small scratches, they’re nothing significant that detracts from the cover. I would recommend this case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this case I had the Defender for several years but wanted something that felt less bulky - especially with a larger phone like the XR - while still adequately protecting my phone. Since the Pursuit is not as thick/bulky as the Defender case, I was a little concerned that it wouldn’t offer enough protection for the klutz that I am dropping my phone all the time, but I found a pretty good YouTube review and ultimately decided to go with it, and I couldn’t be happier with this purchase! It feels really nice in my hand, and I appreciate that the case re-routes the sound from the bottom speakers to face forward and that they did away with the cut-out circle on the back for the apple logo. Also, can confidently say that this case protects my phone no problem from ground level falls :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works fine - wish the edges were clear Originally bought a Symmetry clear case. It was nice and compact and completely clear. Problem was it was too hard to remove. Needed a hair dryer to warm it up. Decided to try a Pursuit (clear back color) when it was more reasonably priced on Cyber Monday. Case is easier to remove and should work fine. The Symmetry is better since it is all clear and made of a "grippier" material (doesn't slide off the table). It is also physically smaller. I guess there is no perfect case. Yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good case .... but not so good in cold weather I’ve had the case for less than a month my job requires that I must leave my phone in my pick up as I do work in oil refineries. With the winter temperatures the charging port cover became brittle and broke off when I tried opening the cover to plug in my phone to charge.

We also like the way the front cutouts re-direct the speaker for better sound. Overall a really nice Otterbox case.
