You still have to put it against the wall in order for it to work. The pop socket does not hold the iPhone 8 plus like it says it does. It fits in the case but does not hold the phone upright.

My only down point is is that the backing has no rubber coat like the other otter boxes. I work on a farm and I tend to drop it at times because it is slippery. Good product tho.

The Pop doesn’t support your phone when it’s sitting sideways. It’s very unstable and falls over frequently. If it wasn’t for this issue I would have given five stars.

My main complaint is that the pop socket does not hold the case up when I try to use it as a "kick stand" it just flops over. So one of the main purposes it does not meet expectations.

I thought it was going to completely cover my phone especially for $50 when I got it in definitely wasn’t what I expected but it took long enough to to get in I kept it since I needed one for my phone. I wanted the pop sock because it makes it easier to hold well this pop sock leaves my finger hurting like a burning sensation after about five to ten minutes. It leaves an indentation in my finger just within minutes. Worst iPhone case that I have ever purchased. Wishing I had returned it to get my money back.

I especially like that you don’t have to open a flap to insert the charging cable like you do with the Defender case. I only hope it protects my phone as well over time. I won’t use any case but Otter Box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Will Always Buy Otter + Pop I previously had an otterbox symmetry with a separate pop socket. The popsocket was nice, but the adhesive was failing. With the integrated pop socket I’ll never have to worry about that again. One difference is that the location of the “pop” is slightly recessed. That means when fully extended, the pop socket does not have quite as much clearance as I had before with the separate case and separate pop. It’s okay for me, but for someone with larger hands or fingers may notice a difference.

The pop-out is a good size for my hands, which are medium size for a 5’6” woman. Also, the buttons work better than any other case I’ve had. I’m very happy with the overall high quality and won’t hesitate to pay more for this brand than inferior cases, in the future.

If you’re buying for phone protection you’ll want to go with a different model, this one doesn’t seem to be the best choice for that. The built in pop socket is neat, but it doesn’t work as well as a stand when combined with the thick back of the case as well as they work on a phone without a case.

The only suggestion I have (but am confident that there are reasons why this was done is to put the pop dot in the center of the phone so that it doesn't tend to want to tip toward the heavier side when I have it open and set on a table. It looks great and although I am not a fan of pop sockets, this one has been beneficial and does get in my way. It was also very easy to install. Overall great product. With that being said, I do with that there were a few more color options or the ability to customer more.

Never in my relatively long life have I made ‘pocket’ or ‘purse’ calls - every day with this junk. It is constantly turning off-and on. The circle holder/stand is nonsense. It started 2 months ago as a small spot and has now spread to the entire outer edge of the case. My only option now is to sand the outer edge and remove the rest of the coating. Too bad it leaves a terrible feeling rubber underneath. For a $60 case, I expected much more.

The very first time I dropped my device (not a far fall at all) inside this case, due to the way it’s designed, it shattered the back glass of my iPhone 8+. Otterbox warranties their products, yes… however, they’ll do nothing about the damage their product caused to my device… I’m just out. Now, if I’m even able to replace the back glass of my phone, it’s going to cost near the value of the phone itself. So I have to deal with the malfunctions caused by this or be forced into upgrading before I can afford to do so. All because I thought I was doing the right thing & purchasing a good, safe, quality case for my device.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great protection I love 90% of the features of this phone. Great protection. Love the marble print. Nice touch and finish. And appreciate the built in pop up holder. However the pop up is not functioning as a stand like I see in the video. I have an iPhone 7 Plus and it seems to be too heavy for the stand to support. I still like the cover and use it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Otterbox makes excellent cases That being said, I bought the blue/gray cover for my husband’s older iPhone 7S. I think because of the size of the phone, the phone doesn’t stand up with the popup round phone case holder on the back of the case; the phone just falls over. And my husband’s fingers are too big to comfortably hold the phone with the popup gadget. On the bright side, though, I am confident the case will protect his phone if he drops it and the case colors are very pretty. I would only deduct half a star for the popup thingy not functioning. But since I can’t take a half a star off, they get a five-star review for an otherwise excellent product.

She got in on October 31st installed it on November 1st as we also got protective glass with it. It’s a great case however the build in pop socket fell off 2 weeks later while she was trying to pull it right in front of me. Not sure if it’s that fragile or defective...When I tried to reach out for an advise, available chat lines are only open from 10am to 2pm really not accommodating working clients... I’m sorry to be bitter.. just disappointed as I do like your products...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointed, seems cheap Received my new case today. We’ve owned many, many OtterBoxes in the past and have always been happy. The colors are very nice and I like that it’s slim, but I have to say, for what this cost, it seems very cheap and very poorly designed. There is no rubber liner as I’ve always had in the past. It is a thin plastic shell, with one very thin line of rubber around the front edge. I can’t imagine this will protect my phone if it’s dropped which is why I’ve always invested in OtterBoxes. Pop socket is tight on fingers due to the indention where it lays when pushed in. I understand the reason for the indention, but they should’ve extended the pop socket little more for finger room. Very disappointed in the overall quality of this case.

I’ve owned my new case for only a few weeks, and the soft plastic lining is already peeling. I was very surprised by the fact that I was already seeing damage. It’s not the Otter Box I expected.
