Rated 5 out of 5 by from S9 not handable any more Might protect the phone very good. But it just adds too much width. It feels like 0,6-0,8 cm on each side. I don't have small hands but when it is attached I can't use the phone with one hand any more. Therefore the price for protection is too big for me. I am looking for other solutions.

Ive always liked the cases and style but very annoyed to find they no longer offered a case with a solid front. I decided that it was worth a try. Its a fantastic case with great grip and fits comfortably in your hand. Lightweight and no overly bulky. Worth every penny

I don't give it 5 stars as I wish it would have come with a screen protector. It does add a little bulk to the phone but it make it easier to hold on to. I like the fact that the holster clip also serves as a stand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No Worries cover .Previously I purchased the Otterbox for another phone. I would drop my phone and had no worries because the cover protected my phone. Also the outer rubber encasement became loose and wasn't securing properly around the hard case. I contacted Otterbox and they replaced the rubber cover with no problem, So when I purchased the Samsung Galaxy S-9, there was no question about what protective case I would purchase, I would not activate my new phone until my Otterbox protective cover arrived,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Case I bought this case because of the durability and protection I received when I used a Defender with my S7. I love that they have made it slimmer which is easier for me to handle. With my clumsy hands and 2 little kids I know my phone will be safe when its dropped. The only draw back to this case is how stiff the cover for the charging port is. I had issues with my last phone, the cover rested on the cable and caused the cable to eventually not connect properly in the phone. This resulted in me having to buy new charging cables. Another solution was for me to remove the rubber casing when charging my phone which caused it to stretch out and in the end not fit well. I am hoping this will not happen but seems to already be affecting how the cable sits in the phone when being charged. (I set my phone flat on the table to charge so there is no unnecessary bending or angles to the cable other than the pressure from the case)

My S3 lived it whole life in an Defender series case ..to this day that phone still looks almost brand new .(great case). When I bought the S9 I ordered another Defender thinking it would be the same design but that's not the case for this model ..not happy about the open face style case but about the only option if you want a holster to store your phone. To sum it up the case does fit the phone well ..just not happy with exposed glass and I don't want alpha glass either! Phone fitment into holster is a wrestling match to get it in correctly and puts a lot of pressure on the phone to get in so that does not get used now... sorry Otterbox you dropped the ball on the case for this great phone.

Would highly recommend. Just don't buy the alpha glass to go with it. Dropped phone once and alpha glass screen protector just fell off and broke. Not happy especially as not cheap.

Although the phones had been dropped down stairs, fell off car, dropped in airports and driveways, stepped on .... Defender took all the abuse and kept phone safe ..... from me.

If this case performs anywhere near as well as the first one did I'll be thrilled. Now - If they could add a few more colors (I've got the Big Sur Blue and it's kind of a more feminine than I'd like. How about colors like red, iridescent, gold or piano black.) Also, It would be nice if the price was a little lower it would be perfect. Buy One! Dave

Put the case on was somewhat tricky, but this may have been avoided by reading the directions. The case is a lot slimmer than previous models while still providing plenty of protection. There are ridges on each side that help provide grip and a solid feel in the hand for the phone. The two port covers at the bottom of the case are very stiff and slightly difficult to open, but will likely soften up over time. Very well constructed case overall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Typical Otterbox quality with one flaw I have only had this S9 defender case for 1 month, so far so good. Something has changed from my previous S4 defender case. The durometer (rubber softness) of the exterior case is much harder than previous defender. This at times makes it difficult to release tab for power cord jack. Perhaps overtime as this gets cycled the tab will become more friendly. Overall I would expect same durability of my last case,3 years.
