Great product that provides great protection, my old 7 plus looks new. my old cover took the damage and save my phone. This new cover will kast more years.

So far, the protection has been great (I’ve dropped the phone a couple of times). The two things I dislike: the soft part of the case is already changing colors (I wear blue scrubs and the case now has a blue tint to it) and it’s difficult to insert the charging cable I have from amazon. Aside from those two issues however, I would recommend it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the case but... I bought this case a few weeks ago when I purchased my new iPhone 7 plus. I decided I wanted to go with an otterbox because I wanted my phone to have good protection while remaining fairly thin. This case prevailed as the winner. I love the case and all of the protection it offers while remaining slim, but I don't really care for the lightning port and flap of the case. I had used an Amazon Basics lightning cable with my previous iPhone and wanted to continue using it, considering nothing was wrong with the cable, but it does not stay connected because it is a bit to "thick" and hits just enough that the cable will pop out if you move your phone. Like I said, I love my case, but I just wish that I could use another lightning cable besides the Apple one which I received with my phone. The only reason I didn't give this a 5 star rating is because of the charge port area.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not very happy I purchased an alpha glass screen protector and a commuter otterbox, and although I do love my commuter otterbox I am very displeased with my alpha glass. The adhesive isn’t fully on. The edges especially the top are not sticking fully like it should. They aren’t air bubbles; it’s just not fully on my phone the way it should be. And yes I did order the correct alpha glass for my phone. Disappointed :’(

Recently received the new Iphone for my birthday and could not find a cover at any merchant...went online for the first time and got to pick my color and not settle for what the merchants had in stock!! I like their stability, the endurance and toughness and so I continue to always buy otterbox for every phone I use. Keeps phones safe and long lasting!! Make sure you also get the glass to prevent any cracks on your screen too!!

My only issue was everywhere I looked I could only find black, dark blue that looks black, baby pink and baby green. These were horrible color selections. My old one was purple and was very nice. It’s a great product, just wish they had more color selections.

They’re thin compared to most protection cases and always rugged, you honestly can’t go wrong. The two layer protection is something that really gives you piece of mind when you ever drop your phone. Defiantly something I buy again and again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Case That's Rugged Without Too Much Bulk I love Otter products. This case fits great. It offers awesome drop protection. It's sized as to not be too bulky but still allow easy gripping of the phone. One trick to installing it for a good fit is to install the rubber inner case to the phone first. Then spritz to hard outer case interior with window cleaner. This way it fits over the rubber inner case easily with no squish out of the inner rubber case.

This is my third Otterbox Commuter case. It is hands down the best protection, while still being attractive, phone case. You really don’t have to worry when you drop your phone, which we all do. My favorite part is the fact that its a 2 layer protection but its still thin enough to feel comfortable in your hand. I was scared that it was going to be too thick cause the iPhone plus models are already kind of big in your hand. I almost went with the symmetry because of that, but I liked the flap to block the charge port and the fact that the apple logo shows on the commuter. Those were my selling points and its barely thicker than the symmetry. Overall GREAT case and great choice. I would def. recommend!

I love the cases from Otter Box as these are excellent guards for expensive iPhones. Even I bought Otter box Case for my iPhone 5S earlier. I wish there were more color options for iPhone 7 plus cases in commuter series, though I like the Teal and Blue color combination. I would recommend to any one who wants to protect their expensive phones.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Almost a perfect fit... I would like to give this case 5 stars, but I can’t. I have an 8+ and when the case arrived it said 7+ on the package. I know that the 7+ and 8+ are supposed to be the same size, but I was skeptical nonetheless and rightly so. On the back, the logo hole doesn’t quite center the Apple logo, and the shell doesn’t (snuggly) fit the rubber slipcover on one side. I’ve pushed and tried to work the pieces as much as possible, but there’s no change. It doesn’t fit all the way. However, I don’t believe it will affect the overall efficacy of the product... I hope.

Would reccomend otterbox cases over lifeproof/other full protection ones since they are so much less bulkier and deal with day-to-day wear just fine.

Also the materials they used feels a lot better than past ones. I thought for a minute that I wasn't going to be able to charge my phone with the case on but that was just my install mistake. Make sure you adjust the bottom up so that you can charge your phone otherwise you may think you can't charge your phone with the case on. Good job otterbox! Oh and for those complaining about it not coming with a screen protector, you should be buying a glass sreeen protector then using the flimsy plastic ones. 100x's better and you spent all that money on an iPhone you might as well get a nice glass screen protector that feels natural.

It arrived 2 days after my phone. I've bought the commuter case for other phones and loved it. The only thing that bothered me was it no longer comes with a screen protector. Other than that the quality is what you expect from an otterbox.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great case but more to want At time of this review I've been using the case for about a week now and absolutely love it. I've always been impressed with LifeProof product. The case is sturdy and feels very solid in he hand. Also the case isn't as slippery as others thanks to the 1st layer rubber grip peaking through on the sides and port cover for the lighting port is awesome. Only improvements I'd suggest are adding a protector under the rear Apple logo cutout as I am sure overtime this will fade the enclosure of the device slightly. Another grip that I have is thet a holster/belt clip isn't an option with the commuter cade and I just can't understand why... For now I'm using a Supcase clip and it fits perfectly.

Now I have to shell out some more bucks for a screen protector. I love the case itself the design is a little sleeker than in the past which is a plus, however it seems that as we go forward the focus is changing I hope, otterbox is able to get back to the reason why they started making cases in the first place.

I have 2 young nephews (2 and 3) who I'm around quite often and I know when my phone is in this case, I don't have to worry about them dropping it and breaking it. As a clumsy person myself, it eases my mind as well. I would definitely recommend this case to anyone looking for a little extra protection for their phone.

I know all otter box cases are known for their durability, but I can’t help but feel like my phone could break if I drop it. The commuter is so much thinner and feels less durable than the defender.

Before going otterbox I tried other brands and knock offs , and I have to say the others failed and provided me crack screens and a damaged phone. Till I switched to otterbox. Once I started using otterbox to protect my phone no more problems. An example would be two times my phone slide out off my motorcycle and slide across the parking lot not a scratch , no cracked screen. Otterbox saved my phone. Last example I was in a car accident that threw my phone into the dash again no damage. From drops to sliding on concret and gravel otterbox has saved my phone. To me it's a must have with any cell phone.

However, i recently upgraded to the iPhone 7 plus and got the same case, this time in pink. BIG MISTAKE. I like the way the case wraps around the edges of the screen. It's honestly the best way (short of an all encompassing case) to keep the screen intact if the phone is dropped. The color is nice without being overwhelming. The controls are easily accessible. This is my 4th or 5th otterbox and the only case I'd put on my iPhone!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sad Just received my otterbox commuter case for ipx and ip7plus both in ocean colorway. The x is perfect, love it, 5 for it. But, the rating ruined by ip7plus case with factory defect on the right speaker. So sad, please, check and be extra careful when packing. To return back will cause me lots of money, and I WON’T recommend my family and friends to buy it online. Do take note with my advise, since I love otterbox so much!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect fit I first tried the defender case for an iPhone 7 plus. It was HUGE and did not fit in my pocket. The 3 layers was virtually indestructible but I gave up ease of use. The ringer switch on the side was hard to flip on/off. The commuter case 2-layer is good protection and much better fit.

I had one for the other phone I had and it was a Samsung phone and I really would not have any other case I really think they protect your phone better than any case out there .. It protected my other phone and I dropped it a lot and it was never cracked or broken anywhere and YES I would recommend it to anyone

I have had the commuter series case on my iphone 5s since the day I bought it and it has protected my phone through a lot over these two years, so when getting the 7 plus it was a no brainer on which case to get. I have had my phone only a week but it still feels protected and I got the alpha glass on it as well which is awesome!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Otter Box (commuter serires) For Iphone 7 plus The Otterbox case is a nice professional looking phone case. It fits the phone snuggly but not to hard to install or remove. There is a nice rubberized grip around the edges of the case. It is not too large to fit nicely in my front pocket of my shorts or sweatpants. It appears to provide a nice level of protection if and when you drop your phone (it's gonna happen sooner or later). I've owned a bunch of different cell phone cases thru the years but always end up with an Otterbox. They are hard to beat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good, but commuter case for IPhone 6 Plus, better I like this case because it's thinner and lighter than the commuter case I had for the IPhone 6s Plus.. The only thing that I noticed that I didn't like on this case, in comparison to the 6s Plus, is that the lip that protrudes above the screen is a lot smaller than that of the iPhone 6s Plus commuter case. This worries me a little because it seems to have less protection for the screen. With that fact aside, Otter Box has always always kept my phone in really great condition for the life of the phone. I will continue to use Otter Box every time I get a new phone.

Got the case immediately, unfortunately no need for it until I got the phone a couple days ago. Only con is it's kind of a pain to take on and off but why take it off right?

It doesn’t makes my phone big and bulky but still gives the same protection. Just wish they had more colors.

This phone is all over the place in my truck when I drive around. I just wish it had a little more grip. There's a little rubber around the perimeter, but the rest is hard plastic.

This is the first time that I bought Commuter Case,I have always bought SYMMETRY SERIES for my previous iPhones and the SYMMETRY cases have protected and worked better than COMMUTER SERIES,I would like swich this new case for a SYMMETRY CASE.!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so good Bought a few weeks ago to put around a new 7+ iPhone. So far the fit and finish has been great. It holds the phone snugly and the low profile has been an improvement over the last case I had for a 6s+. I've grown more accustomed to putting in the phone in my pocket during the day vs holstering it, so this is welcome. My only take back so far has been that the case has been a bit slippery because the outer shell is the hard plastic vs rubber. A little added texture might help.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good but could be better Ive always used the commuter series with my phones. This version I noticed has a thinner lip protecting the screen. The design has improved and the rubber material being used does not feel as flimsy as last years version but they could have added just a bit more rubber to the sides to protect the screen. Also the plastic layer has never had good grip which i expected but i hope later on they use a material with a textured designed to improve the grip.

I love my case it’s the most beautiful peachy pink and it just makes me happy whenever I see it. I will never buy a phone case that’s not an otter box

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Durable and sleek I bought the commuter case for my iPhone 7plus and love it. I've never bought the commuter series before. I was always the defender type but decided to try it out because they had it in the pretty rosemarine pink and they didn't in the defender. The rubber part of the pink is super light so it got stained by my jeans pretty quickly, but it doesn't affect the overall ability of the case at all. I like how sleek it is compared to the defender. It fits in my pocket better and in my purse. It doesn't come with a screen protector like the defender so be prepared to buy one however it's a nice case. I wish they made more colors and made them so both the defender and commuter had the same colors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Case - Pink Rubber gets really dirty/stained I bought this a few months ago and I loved the pink color but it very quickly became dirty and stained on the inner rubber part. I’ve had the clear otterbox and it did not have this issue so I find it strange that this pink would, the outer piece however does not stain or get dirty. I would recommend this case but not the pink colored one.

It is important to read the instructions as it goes on ale differently than some other cases. The only hassle is plugging into the jack on the bottom it almost takes three hands to hold the case, hold the cable and hold the plug cover. Other than that, no issues.

I could either get the top on or the bottom, not both. I had to mess with it quite some time before it went on fully. When it came to charging my phone, the case would only let me use certain chargers so I had to play around with it and buy another one to charge the phone or take off the outside case to charge. Overall it’s not a bad product, does it’s job in protecting

Wrong move… even though I love the color I don’t like that I can no longer stand it up against most anything when I use my speaker phone… it falls down every time! The case is to slippery and in most cases easy to drop… even though OB is suppose to shield destruction who wants to keep having no kinda control over their phone… definitely would not purchase this case again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Otter_Not_Box I bought this a few weeks ago and remain disappointed. This is a two piece case which makes it a pain to put on. Not impossible but unnecessarily difficult. The soft rubber and the hard shell are two separate pieces. Since the case partially blocks the charger port (depending on the size of the wire connection it is sometimes required to remove the phone from the case on a regular basis. Two of the corners (top) are fully soft rubber and two (bottom) are only half hardshell. This makes me concerned for the wellbeing of the phone when it is dropped. I have had many OtterBox products and consider them to be one of the few that are capable of protecting a $1,000 device sufficiently. Unfortunately the Commuter is not their best work in that regard. It seems that fashion has been given priority over function here, idk. The bottom line is that I still need a case that I am comfortable trusting with the protection of my investment. I may still go with an OtterBox case but the Commuter is best suited for commuting, not working. If you are trying to actually protect your phone I recommend not using this case.
