Linksys Velop Intelligent Mesh WiFi System, Tri-Band, 3-Pack White (AC6600) is rated 3.60 out of 5 by 179.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Connection on welfare I have the AC660 series with a total of four(4) wifi mesh routers. I have setup and reset it up more times than I would like to remember. I have literally set three of the routers with line-of-sight (zero obstructions) and still get dropped connections. I have tried three different computers all with the same results. Essentially this system is a welfare sale - it works only when it feels like it. Spent a LOT of money on this. DO NOT BUY THIS.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE! I purchased two sets of the 3 node system for my 2400 square foot 2 story home. I have hated this WIFI system from day one. With six nodes all connected and literally with direct line of sight from one node to the next, I should have perfect WIFI. It is the worst i have ever had. It is advertized that one set of three nodes will cover a home of 2600 sq. feet. The nodes take 10-20 minutes each to set up. Frequently requiring 3-4 rebootings before they obtain a signal from another node. The system crashes every time the internet looses connection. EVERY WEEK I have to reboot 2-3 nodes. I would not recommend this VELOP system to my worst enemy. Plus, It cost me twice as much as any other WIFI system.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These work great! These work amazing! We moved into a new home and the internet connection was terrible. Months of wasteful hours of the internet spinning and spinning. We spent a few hundred bucks on other devices, which worked maybe 5% of the time. These Linksys Velop Intelligent Mesh System were reommended by the new internet company. Ordered them and they arrived in 2 days. It took about 10 minutes to set them up and plug them into various location around the house. It's like night and day, these work so well!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty good once you can access the right setup area. These Devices seem to work well once i got the "unofficial" way to set them up without the App. i Refuse to keep allowing these companies to force me to install an App that goes outside my netowrk just to configure a LOCAL Device, so after a call to their support i found out about the clicking on the 2 phones images and then the clicking on the TINNNYYYYY "CA" text at the bottom right of the screen. Once i had that i was able to set up the mesh in bridge mode to my personal router and they have been going strong ever since. IF it was easier to just go into an "advance" mode i would have given these a higher mark. Ohh.. and the Barrel power connectors are very poor.. dont wiggle the power cable when you turn it over to get the log in codes or these will power cycle on you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solves all blind spots problems It is really awesome. VERY easy to install. The app guides you perfectly well. This is the only negative comment: The only thing the app does is that.. installation. In the rest of its features is totally unreliable (for example it shows devices which are connected when they are not and vice-versa). But the VELOP is totally awesome.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally, connectivy!! I always had to use a wireless extender which was a cumbersome process to get connectivity towards the back of my property. Not anymore with the Velop. I held back because of the cost, but I took the leap. So pleased that I did. Well worth it. Easy setup, not a bulky piece of electronic gadgetry, sleek and cool looking!!

I so KNEW when I bought this that I was going to return it. After all $500 is a lot of money but WOW.... I do not regret it ONE BIT! I have a R8000 Nighthawk which I loved but it died....so I took a chance and what an awesome result. Easy to set up...configure ( and has advanced settings like Dynamic DNS, and port forwarding ). Love it, love it, love it. You wont regret it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dead Spots and Reboots Be Gone I bought the Velop system because my wife and kids kept complaining about dead spots in the house with our current Wi Fi system. In 2 bedrooms there was no signal at all In our family room Netflix would just spin, and spin. Setup was not bad. At first my modem did not recognize the first node and I had to call my ISP provider to reset the modem. After that setup was pretty easy. Despite other reviews I read, the APP was easy to work with. I did encounter one issue with my Blu Ray/Streaming player which was connected to the farthest node (initial node set up). I called customer service and was able to reset the Blu Ray device which resulted in it picking up the closest node with a very strong signal. Everything is now connected and easily transfers from one node to another as we move through the house. I decided to buy a new ROKU stick and wow what a difference. Netflix & Amazon Prime are lightening fast. For the last 24 hours no dead spots, no reboots, no buffering. If this keeps up my family and I will be happy campers. In honor of the season and Elf; Best Wi Fi EVER!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Transformed my wi-fi Been using the three pack system for a little more than a month. I wasn't a fan of the price tag at first but after learning more about the system and how it works I decided to make the investment. Previously I was using two routers with one in bridge mode and it cannot compare to this system. The biggest benefit to me was its ability to redirect signals to your devices automatically; something my previous setup was not capable of. I would recommend this system for anyone looking to beef up their coverage. Other routers offrer more speed but you can never fully utilize it. At close to a Gb/s with your internets full upload and download speeds, this is a great choice. Recommendations I had a little trouble setting up the second node, skipped to the third and went back to it later and had no further problems. Released and renewed the IP to resolve a conflict. I also wish the app gave more flexibility such as turning off the status light at night considering it acts as a night light in the bedroom

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Full Coverage I own an older home with thick walls. I have tried range extenders to get decent reception in the basement bedroom, but not much luck. The Velop 3-pack is a bit of an overkill for the square footage of my house, but now I have a perfect signal all through the house and onto the patio and the deck. We can run simultaneous streaming services on 2 Smart Tvs without signal degradation. I love it and(because) my wife is happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth Every Dime! I just bought the 3 tower Velop system to solve a problem I was having with spotty wifi in a large house (4,000 sq ft). I had a great router but it was located in the back of my house which gave me very poor wifi in the front because it was too far away. I added an extender but now it created a secondary wifi network xxxx-5G-EXT that you would have to make sure you logged in to when in the front portion. It was a pain. This new Velop system gives me uninterrupted service through all 4,000 square feet under the same network name with no loss in signal strength. I thought it was a bit expensive but it was worth every dime. If you have a big house, BUY IT!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wi-Fi All Over My Home Velop was just what I needed to help improve the wi-fi coverage in my home. My Linksys EA9500 router was getting the job done, but the Velop mesh system takes things to a whole new level in a great way. Beautiful packaging, easy to follow set up and everything you need to get up and going is in the box. The Linksys app is very intuitive and steps you through everything in a very organized way. The set up of the additional two nodes was really easy. You just follow the guide on the app and it does the rest. I love it. The performance overall is really good. Using just one node, the coverage was excellent all by itself. I am amazed with how something so small can work so well. My home is 4000 sq. feet. After installing Velop, I walked around the house with my wi-fi analyzer there are no dead spots anywhere in my home. It took me almost two hours to get the first node set up. I would get to the point when the node was trying to set itself up (it creates its own Wi-Fi access point) and would hang up there. I eventually figured out my alternate Wi-Fi point was interfering with the set up. Once I got that shut down..the first node set itself up like magic. It was my fault. I should have disabled the other Wi-Fi access point. The instructions and in app guide felt almost too simple for me. This was the easiest set up process I have ever seen. The only issue was (maybe not an issue) is that the app doesn't explain what the process is going to be before you start. You only find out as you go along. It would have saved me some time if I was told how to prepared my existing network prior to installation. Setting up the other two nodes was easy and trouble free. I thought the power supplies for the nodes are too big. They take up a lot of real estate on a power strip and if they needed to be that big, a vertical approach might have been better. They do work just fine on a standard wall outlet. Summary: Some minor set-up issues aside (it's on me), the system is great and is performing very well and totally solves my home's Wi-Fi coverage issues. My wife knew nothing about what I was doing and commented that the Wi-Fi in the house worked better than normal. There's your testimonial..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SUCKS! DON'T BUY! ZERO SUPPORT! I bought this system Aug 10th at Best Buy including a 2 year warranty. I had no problem with the initial setup. This morning, September 2, I awoke to find I had no internet. Wonderful, Labor Day weekend without Internet. I then contacted GEEK SQUAD (1-800-326-7114) to help me resolve the issue. After 2 hours 3 minutes 20 seconds, I came to the conclusion that the support individual was strictly reading from a script, and had NO IDEA how to resolve my problem. I next took all of the devices back to Best Buy, and they gave me a completely new setup, which I appreciated very much and thanked them immensely. After returning home and starting the installation of the new VELOP, the router and the first Access Point setup without any issues. The second Access Point failed to establish any connection and still hasn't after an hour as I type this. It appears that while the idea of multiple access points for a large area, while great in theory, is not working with this new VERY EXPENSIVE product. While I have had excellent service in the past from LINKSYS, it is obvious that in this particular product, they cared more about making money than providing quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Resets too often System is great when working. However, when it loses power OR when the modem goes down for awhile, it defaults to the factory settings. I need to set up the whole system from scratch. Takes 45 minutes. Linksys needs to have it retain settings so it will come back on its own.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from smoke & mirrors if you need parental controls You cannot control access based on time. You can only block specific sites. (up to 10). Velop can only be configured via the Linksys app and it specifically states in the app that you need the web based setup to manage devices and time.... Totally stupid and it sucks. I WANT MY MONEY BACK

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Speeds My family upgraded to Linksys Velop about 2 weeks ago and so far it has been amazing. Before this we had a pretty good router and when we were right next to it we were getting speeds 60-80 mbps. We pay for 60. In my room up stairs I was getting 17. Now I'm getting full speeds and great coverage throughout my entire house.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Overall Great Unit! I bought this about a month ago and hooked it up right away. The whole process to set up was about 10-15 minutes. It was very easy setup and user friendly through the app. I did lose power after the setup. Everything came back up and is working fine except the app does not seem to recognize that and keeps wanting to walk me through some troubleshooting. I cant get the app back to monitoring my network. This has been frustrating. Overall very easy setup, my network has been running great throughout my house and seems to be a great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice! Easy install and works great. Before Velop, I tried several options to improve the WIFI in my house without any significant or lasting success. I even considered hardwiring the house; instead, I thought I would try Velop's whole house option before doing anything drastic. The setup requires a bit of patience but it super easy. Plus, the location of the Velop nodes is easy to adjust if necessary. The performance difference was immediate and phenomenal. All of my devices connect quickly and easily and I get great speed on all of them. I can manage and check the status of my network and devices easily, from anywhere, through the app on my phone or on my computer. Since it was going to cost more in terms of time, trouble, and money to hardwire the house, I have seldom been more satisfied with a purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good coverage? These were more expensive than their competition but got decent reviews and so I purchased them to cover a single story 2,500 sq ft home. Not being terribly computer literate, I hired the Geek Squad to install the system for me. When the installer left my home all 3 nodes had blue lights indicating that they were all working properly. A few days later I noticed that the node farthest from the base has a yellow light. That situation has continued intermittently ever since so I re-called the Geek Squad again and they will be returning to troubleshoot the situation. All indications are from Linksys that this system is easy to install and works fine for a normal sized one story home-but apparently not.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BIG Disappointment! Purchased the 3-Pack mesh. Several issues: 1. Connectivity is constantly interrupted. Linksys Logs do not show drops but used an independent SW and found continuous drops. 2. Parent controls is a waste of time. Nodes can be reset by the children and they regain access. 3. Power outages of any kind reset router to default. Issues are known to Linksys. There are no known fixes but replace the set...which only renders the same issues. We run a residential environment that requires video conferencing and heavy streaming. This product does not fulfill our needs and lacks both consistentcy and parental management, the main reasons for which we purchased it. We have contacted 2nd level tech support and now awaiting a solution. Being a long time linksys user, I hope Linksys honours this relationship and REPLACES the system with a better product such as a High powered router and set of extenders, given this product does NOT deliver as sold.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great System I've had this Velop (3 Pack) for about 3 weeks now and I must say this WI-Fi System is great. I only live in a about a 2200 sq ft ranch house and have put each of the nodes in different rooms, allowing for coverage of not only the entire house, but outside and even in the detached garage. I have coverage everywhere now. The biggest issue I had before the Velop, was my son would play games on his Xbox and computer (Wi-Fi) over the internet and the connections was slow and he would always gripe on how slow it was. Now since I have installed the Velop and installed one of the nodes in his room and connected his Xbox and computer with Cat6 cable to the node, he has not complained at all and said everything is working so much better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Update Your Wi-Fi! With growing frustration with our local DSL provider (we live in a rural area with limited internet options) we decided we would try to enhance our service with a new Wi-Fi system. After some research, we settled on the Linksys VELOP and it has worked nicely. Easy to follow set-up via the Linksys app, we have place a node on all three levels of our home (3,700 sf) and have connectivity throughout supporting about 10 devices when all are connected. Sleek and stylish, we are pleased with the upgrade.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not impressed Bought this 8/1 for a 2,400 sq. ft. house. The main unit (connected to router) is on the second floor. The second unit is on 1st floor within 18 ft from main unit. The third unit is on the 1st floor within 20 ft from second unit (one wall separating). The one connect to the router is fine but the satellites are not dependable. They work most of the time but drop all the time. I have moved these to different rooms and places throughout the room. Can not get dependability. Very disappointed in a system at this price. There is also no way of testing the connections except lengthy trial and error. Very poor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features! Not very powerful. I've had the Velop wifi system for about 2 weeks. I am trying to replace a very powerful Linksys EA9500 router. I like the ease of setup and the apps. The first node took a while to connect to my router. I finally had to unplug it and try a different one and it connected right away (still not sure why) I don't like the fact that the first node you setup only has 2 wired ports. Wish it had more for a printer, etc. I have a 1,900 sqft (on the main level) ranch house so i setup 1 in the basement and 2 upstairs. Their power / range beyond 20 ft. isn't great. Wish they had more power. I might have to purchase 1 more node for better coverage in the basement. I really wish I could hook these in with my EA9500 to get the best of both worlds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well worth the price! I purchased this about a month ago. One router was not enough for my house. As many will tell you, the price for three is a little much but can be had cheaper if you find the right sale. I did and could not be happier. I placed the cable modem and a router in the basement while adding another router upstairs. Small, efficient and fast. Coverage is awesome. The app is very helpful as well. My only wish is for a USB3 plug on one router. Must buy an WD Cloud drive instead of my trusty My Book.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unreliable, and slower than AmpLiFi HD I've tested Velop, Google WiFi, Orbi, and AMPLIFI HD. Velop can hit high speeds, but not reliably. Out of all the devices I tested, Velop is the only one that frequently dropped connections to my Dropcams for long periods at a time, several times a day. It also doesn't do well with walls, despite saying I placed the nodes perfectly. It gives very little feedback on where to put the devices. Just says it's good... doesn't give you a signal strength meter. It also doesn't let you change your subnet. It also requires a connection to the cloud. And it's the most expensive. AmpLiFi HD is the most reliable one I've tested and it does everything locally without "phoning home" to the cloud, which I appreciate. I've since returned the Velop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes set up reasonable All in all this is a good upgrade for a home or small office set up. I had a few issues at first with connections to older model products like DVDs. Linksys help line was quick to respond, but the tech was slow to understand the problem. The application for controlling the router is slick, but there are some logic gaps that you have to work through because there is no manual. Example is there is no button on the routers to link devices using WPS. However, there is a connect option that you will ultimately find by searching. I still am not sure how adjusting the priorities for connecting devices works with the advertised automatic speed detection. The system seems to work well with just two routers in a one story 3400 sq ft house. I have a wish and an idea for Linksys. Show the user how the system works on a before and after basis. It is difficult to know how much better this system is when compared to the performance of my older two channel one. In any case, I give it four stars because of the ease of set up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well but has some flaws The system works all right but having to do the set up with a mobile phone and app only is a big problem. It should have a web interface for setup also .The blutooth set up was very clitchy and the cloud service being down at times made for a frustrating install. Also it does not have the many features a traditional router has such as DDNS,Network map,QoS,Traffic Analyzer, firewall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best system I have had to date The set up was easy right out of the box, everything went smooth with no problems. Running in a 4000 sqft 2-story home. Runs faster and better than my Asus or other newer Linkysys system. My only real complain is that if you have an area with a concentration of wired devices, be careful as it only has max of 2 ethernet ports per node and only 1 on your main node once you connect your modem. Also I don't care for the fact it is "ONLY" setup and administrated via the Linkysys app on a phone or tablet with very minimal settings or configurations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product C R A P Support I was so happy with the first one i bought for my community pool, I bought another for my house. EZ to setup, it automatically creates settings and finds other units. A seamless experience. Our Club has a long narrow building with cinderblock walls - so a single access point can't get signal from one end to the other. I set up a Velop 3 pack and now have uniformly high speeds in all parts of the building and all around our pool 75 foot long building and 1.5 acre pool area. Fantastic signal everywhere. But... I called support. Oye. On hold for 15 minutes and no end in sight. I guess it had better work as support is awful. Just doesn't even respond

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Its ok I bought this a few weeks ago and not impress with the performance. I have read the mix reviews but still gave it a try. Bought 3 in a package. House is 3000sqft. I basically put each node in 1 room of each side of the house and main modem router is in the center. In the house it does say full par but does lag. It needs to switch off each node more smoothly. I have a node in my room and when I use my wifi in my backyard and thats beside my room, wifi seems pretty weak. They should make an update for nodes to switch more smoothly and connects the device to the nearest node. For the price its not worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Horrible! Horrible! Horrible! Purchased this system from Best Buy 3-27-17 and took attempted to set it up in my home. No luck! constant "node off map" error message. Called customer service and went through the entire firmware updates and trouble shooting process. 1 hour and 19 minutes later still no communication between nodes and was told to return it to Best Buy for a new system. 3-29-17 new system picked up from Best Buy and guess what...still same error message with an entire new system. Guess I will be returning this one as well and purchasing the competitor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Initial results are good I purchased this system because I have an older home that has plaster lath and plaster through out. This stuff really eats your WiFi signal. I also liked the fact that I can partially hardwire it to get around some of the dense walls and get WiFi to parts that previously were almost impossible.. Once I got it setup I can check the speeds and they are the same throughout the house. The setup for this was a little difficult. 1st thing is you need to set up all the nodes BEFORE trying to wire any together, Next I continued to have error problems. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 3. As it turns out this was the problem. I switched to my iPad and the setup went flawlessly. Either Samsung or Linksys needs to test this. When I went back to add an additional note with my Note 3 the same problem reoccurred. With the iPad no problems. I will return to this in a few weeks to see if I continue to get the good results.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I had been running on the Cable/Modem combo which my ISP gives out and I thought it was more than what I needed. That was not true at all, coverage was actually fair but the speed was terrible. I upgraded to the Velop system and spread all three units around the house and what a difference it made. I must admit, setting up was a little frustating as one of the steps was establishing communication with my modem and it took several restarts until it got it but after that it was all smooth sailing. Adding the other two modes was a breeze as the app walks you through it and well worth it at the end. I would recommend giving it a shot and what's the worst it could happen? You don't like it and return it (doubtful)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from endless configuration problems I bought the AC6600 about 6 weeks ago and I'm on my 5th or 6th call with customer service. In a nutshell, it works for a while, maybe a day or two, then it fails at the node closest to my computer. I call support on the phone, we try changing things this way and that for 45 minutes, and it works fine. then two days later it's not working again. they claim that it's a software issue, even though the other nodes are solid. I'm about to get into customer service again...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Velop and Network Attached Storage Devices I'm wondering if you can setup velop to integrate with a NAS?Also Can I use a Ethernet to USB adapter to connect a storage device to the unit? Internet is great all over the home, but without being able to backup your devices or manage those backups, I feel is a real let down. The cloud isn't for everyone and I would like to backup my computers to an external HDD right on my network, so i'm hoping that it's possible somehow. Anyways Ill see how this whole home system compares to my standalone netgear X6 in the next 30 days. I'm hoping for consistency with this unit, because netgears products have speed drops constantly which becomes very irritating

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not quite ready for prime time Brought he 3 pack. When your ISP goes up and down these VELOPs get confused, the remotes lose their connection, you have to power cycle them to get back on the network, there is a LACK of some commonsense RF signal level tools for placement and to make this thing work. Maybe in another year. When it's working it's really good. (about 80% of the time) when it's not is a PITA to get back running again. By the fourth or fifth time of reinitializing the base VELOP unit attached to my BB cable modem, I simply gave up and took them back to Best buy for a pair of WRT3600 Linksys - these work great and have accurate reporting information on what and who is on your home network (and you can use one SSID as well with them)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wi-Fi Everywhere! I've used extenders in the past to extend the range of the Wi-Fi in my house and it was like putting a band-aid on a wound. It did extend the range but the speed was not the same. I decided to try out Velop because it claimed to not only extend the range of your Wi-Fi, but also maintain the speed through out any household. It also did this without having to create a new WiFi signal like regular extenders do. Overall I'm very satisfied with my purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's So So Purchased just about a month ago. Found a few issues that are making me return for a refund. First, the only way to configure this is by using an app on a phone or tablet. Normally, that may not seem like a problem, but if you can't get to the Linksys cloud, then you can't configure or view your devices. Happened twice to me. Next, whenever I've made a config change, it drops all of the wireless devices and makes them reconnect. Next, the setup took almost 45 minutes. That is about 35 minutes too long. The application is somewhere between slow and doesn't respond. Using it makes me feel like I am on an old 14.4k modem. Lastly, if you use wireless backhaul and have a switch hanging off a child node, it drops often due to the above mentioned item with changes in the config.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally have WiFi all over the house I bought this because we wanted to be able to stream in the finished lower level of our fairly large home. It's three levels with the office in a loft. The total finished space of our home is about 6200 sqft. With just one cable modem/router from Spectrum, we had OK wifi all over the house but couldn't stream anything on Netflix or Amazon. So today, went out and bought the 3 pack. Reminded me of an Apple product while unwrapping. It is as simple as downloading the app and following the instructions each step of the way. took about 30 minutes to complete all three nodes. Works great and allows our smart Samsung 4K 65" TV to stream away as I wanted. It is pricey no doubt and will probably drop in price now that I bought it. But we now have no varying degrees of signal strength anywhere in our home. I would highly recommend and I looked at several different systems. Again, this is definitely not the cheapest but love the form factor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HOME WIFI SUPERCHARGED! LOVE IT! Had a 2-in-1 cable/modem before I upgraded to this and WOW! I'm blown away by the difference in wireless performance that I'm getting, my download and upload speeds are super fast and I get a consistent connection with no drops and issues whatsoever around my apartment. Here is basically my experience with this product from the time I've had it. I'm able to use it in my backyard and still able to get great performance and speeds. PROS: - Easy and intuitive setup with the iOS/Android app - Supercharged fast AC wireless - Elegant and small design - Cable management - Consistent connection with no lag or dropped wireless signal - Device prioritization within Linksys App is a plus for my Smart TVs and game consoles - Rename devices connected and change name or device prioritization - One network offers both bands and devices connect to the appropriate band automatically CONS: - Linksys App parental controls don't let you block websites not friendly for minors, only lets you block specific sites and time online - Great app to manage it but the web-based settings are basic nor work sometimes Linksys App: The app used to set up the router is fast, easy, and intuitive. I love that the app allows you to see how many devices are connected at a glance. The fact that you still have access to your network remotely even though one isn't home is a great plus since I'm able to see what devices are connected and able to disconnect and block them from my phone. Has essential router settings like parental controls, MAC address filtering, guest network access, notifications when your node goes offline for whatever reason, built-in speed test, options to change port settings, and of course internet connection settings. In conclusion, anyone who wants fast, reliable, consistent wireless connection that works great without the need for a range extender this is an awesome option. If you purchase this router system I promise you that you won't regret it, you'll be very satisfied. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask me and I'll be more than happy to answer them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Non Techy Review I want to provide a non-techy review here. Clearly, a Wire Mesh network is vastly superior to wifi extenders. It is expensive but it works very well. We have eliminated speed issues throughout a 6K square foot home. It nicely provides adequate speed outside the house in near proximity. The downside is the app is limited and there needs to be better tutorials for average person to set up. For instance, save yourself a troubleshooting call with support by using a new unique name and password for your system. This was not clear in any instructions. Also, there was little to no information on whether to leverage bridge mode. I'm not high tech and needed to do some research to understand it would benefit me. There should be tutorial videos on You Tube to address these kinds of issues. Also, not clear whether Channel Finder is automatic or whether it must be triggered by user in the app. We get quirky speeds sometimes and I have to invoke channel finder to optimize the speed. This should be automatic for this price tag. Lastly, competitors seem to have a sleeker, nicer design. I believe that Linksys solution is slightly superior in technology but less than competition in design of the box. Still all in all, it solves the access and speed problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy setup and strong connection! They came in a big box! Each wifi point are really good looking and there is no need to hide them. I have them out in the open. Setting them up was easy, however, there were a few hiccups during the process where the app (android linksys app is required to set them up) would just stay either searching or stuck on a step, however it was easy to solve with just going back the previous step and resuming. It definitely needs some work as some not too tech savvy people may have issues here. Other than that, the coverage is incredible and the speeds are amazing. I set them up on my living room, main hallway that connects my living room with bedrooms (this area has been always a dead spot) and my master bedroom. I get full speeds on my furthest point (master bedroom), as if I was connected directly to my previous router via Ethernet directly, this is amazing! Pros: +Full coverage on large homes. +Amazing speeds +Easy to monitor via the android/ios app. +Very good looking design, can be used as decoration. +Each point has 2 Ethernet ports, so you'll have 5 in total (on the point connected to your modem, one port is used to connect to it). Cons: -Setup could be better, some bugs on the app, however updates can solve this. -Some bugs either on the firmware of the router or the app, i.e. sometimes it shows some of my devices as offline, however they are connected and working fine. Since the router just came out, expect some bugs, that should be squashed via future firmware updates.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good system - very disappointing App In order to properly integrate the Velop (3 node) system into our home network, I have to run it in the Bridge Mode. The current app does not support any of the modes other than Automatic DHCP and Static IP. To program the Bridge Mode, you must use a somewhat unauthorized and undocumented browser method. Once it's set in Bridge Mode, the app no longer works at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple setup, easy to use I bought this product about 2 months ago. I've been very happy with it overall. I'm using all 3 VELOP nodes, one in the basement, one on the 1st floor and the last one in the Attic. On my network I have 2+ computer, 3+ mobile phones, a wireless printer and several guest who join when they are over to visit. Good: - Quick setup, easy to follow instructions - Clean industrial design - Fast network connection (same speeds at fiber connection to the house). - consistent behavior - I run speed test about 1 time a week after getting the system. consistent performance for the last 2 months. Still a work in progress: - Software seems a little confused on which devices are wireless and which are plugged in. (On dashboard in App). For instance the dashboard thinks my wireless printer is using Ethernet. - device prioritization feature doesn't appear to work correctly (my "priority" devices go from 35 MB/sec to 4 MB/sec when the feature is on). Since the network is fast enough for all the users I have - I simply don't use this feature and everything works just fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product! I received the Velop 3 days ago. It came in a big beautiful box! The packing was excellent, so there is no issue on the items being damaged during shipping. Each wifi access point is beautifully designed and is meant to be displayed. Setup is actually very easy. You basically download the Linksys app on your mobile device, and follow the instructions. Each step is clearly explained with pictures of the items you need. You first will need to plug the first access point, called the parent, into your existing router. Afterwards, you setup the child access points throughout your house. I did not encounter any issues when I did the parent nor the first child that I setup upstairs in our bedroom. When setting up the one downstairs in the basement, the app asked me to put the access point closer to the parent to complete the setup. Afterwards, I placed it in my office in the basement. I have been checking the wifi signals with a wifi analyzer on my android device and the coverage is excellent. We live in a 6200 sq ft, 3 level house and I have excellent coverage in every room. Each base has 2 gig ethernet ports to hardwire any devices. On the parent, you only have 1 available port, since the other is plugged into your router. On the child access points, you have the ability to use both. The app itself is good, but it still needs a lot of improvement, which I expect will come out shortly. For example, there is no way, at the moment, to change the IP address scheme of the network, so if you have any static IP devices, you will need to change them. That is not a hard thing to do, just something to remember (I forgot that my printer had a static IP of my previous network). Pros: - Excellent design - Full coverage on large homes - Each access point has 2 gig ethernet ports - Easy setup - App has great features (monitor devices) - Excellent speed - AC plug into the device is slightly bent so it will follow through the hole on the bottom of the device - Excellent customer service - Reset button can be pressed with your fingers, no need to look for a pen Cons: - Some bugs within the app: - first time trying to install the system it crashed - online devices sometimes show as offline - no way to change the IP address scheme of your network - no IP v6 - cost - AC plug is a huge square, about 2.5 in by 2.5 in, which takes up 2 - 3 slots on a powerstrip I personally encountered a unique issue that customer service helped me with. Linksys customer service is top noch! Mike was the gent that helped me out with my unique issue. My issue is that I have a wired network with a managed switch. If you have a managed switch, you will need to change the IP address of the switch to match the IP address space of the new network. If you do not do that, then the system will not work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Significantly enhanced my home network My medium sized house has many different levels and angled rooms and using a router with range extenders worked only modestly well. The drop off of internet speed away from the hard wired connection to my lap top was significant. Often more than 80% slower. I installed a 3 pack VELOP system and now have speeds equal to those at the computer throughout the house. The improved performance of my iPhone, IPad and other wireless products is obvious and even visitors who had experience problems in the past are not excited when using my guest network. I did have to play with the placement of the unit farthest away from the base but once I found a good spot, where it connected with the other units, it worked perfectly. A great buy, and while a little pricey, I certainly would recommend the system to everyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not worth the money I bought the Linksys VELOP Whole Home Mesh Wi-Fi System (Pack of 3) a few months back. It has been a huge disappointment. Our home isn't that large (all the nodes cover an area less than 1500 sq ft), yet the system frequently drops signal and can't deliver any consistency on speed. I have 200 Mbps service from my cable provider. I just ran a speedtest and am currently typing this with a download speed of just 3 Mbps over Wi-Fi. I've had several calls to tech support (one lasting nearly 5 hours) and am still left with intermittent drop outs and wildly fluctuating speeds. I had single cheaper mid level router before and while the range wasn't great, it was constant in the speeds it delivered and didn't drop signal in the same living space. I wish I could get a refund. I will say that the tech support folks tried to be helpful, but it doesn't appear something that can be fixed with troubleshooting. The system just doesn't work like it should for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't integrate with other Linksys Routers Good for the basic user. Can't integrate with my Linksys EA9500. Velop must be configured through app and not using conventional default IP address from a desktop. Can't add DHCP ranges or reserve DHCP leases. Only two LAN ports??! Really?? So I need to purchase a switch if I wanted to hardware multiple devices. I repackaged my three node kit and saved until a firmware patch or something is created to allow for better customized settings. If not I will sell it off to someone who doesn't need advanced settings like my parents or grandparents.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Basic Whole Home Wi-Fi Mesh System Disclaimer: I was given product free to review. Pros: Great coverage. About 2,000 square feet per node in a standard wood frame modern house. Once you setup wirelessly, you can put the child nodes (extenders) on Ethernet cables back to the parent node (router) and it will use the best link wired (Ethernet backhaul) or wireless (wireless backhaul). I'll give you a hint. Wired will be the best link. Simplified setup for those who just want reliable Wi-Fi in their house. One network name and password for all your devices. Amazon Echo support for turning on/off guest Wifi and asking for the SSIDs and Passwords for Wi-Fi is cute, but not selectable yet in what it will NOT tell you, like my main Wi-Fi network password. Cons: Have to use Smartphone/Tablet App for setup and control. Bluetooth is used for initial setup and is painfully slow (only have to do once). No USB ports period. Fairly limited customization, no AP mode, no dhcp range selection, no router IP address selection, no DNS selection. No Webpage configuration. 2 Ethernet ports on each node (Can use switches though to expand) As with most of the mesh and star whole home Wi-Fi I have tried in the last 6 months, this one needs a lot of growth in features, and might really need a second review in 3 or 4 months to see where it has stabilized as far as firmware upgrades and App features.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good extension While this product provides a good extension to existing wifi, the requirement of physically connecting one extender to the router is a deal killer. If this system was not forced to lose one extender to the hard wire connection, it would probably be a much better deal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Great start but still needs a lot of work I have had my Velop for 3 days now. Set up was pretty easy and the performance of the system over all has performed pretty great in my home which is a WiFi Bermuda triangle. As a network engineer by trade I am a little disapointed with available features and configuration options. The Velop is the Ronco of WiFi systems, just set it and forget it. The problem is I want to set a lot more than it allows for. As I have seen in other reviews there are zero advanced configuration options. I have a few static IP devices in my home that I had to reconfigure because I couldn't set the Velop to the network I wanted. Additionally I really hate the fact that it must be managed through the app. While app management is nice sometimes for quick looks and changes sometimes I want to sit at my computer and use a full web browser. My last point of contention is not with Velop so much as it is with the LinksysSmartWiFi account system as a whole. I have had 3 different Linksys SmartWiFi devices over the years. This has left several offline device in my account, not clean at all. The only solution for removing these devices was to delete my account and create a new one. Unfortunately since I had already set up my Velop I am not unable to add it to my new account. I am now on day 3 of my support case with no resolution. Velop seems to have a lot of promise and if Linksys/Belkin listen to the customer feedback and fix some of these issues than it should be a great product. I am only saying no to the would you recommend this product to a friend because many of my friends are going to have the same issues with it that I do. Otherwise for the average home user i think its great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great overall the setup was easy with the exception of when it tried to validate your login and then connect to Linksys cloud. Good think I had read a review telling me to connect to the setup SSID to proceed. Clearly, that is a miss by the technical team and the User Design group. Other then that I connect to the main router and then the other node. I then moved my node to my office which has an ethernet port plugged it in an it is flying. Interesting that I went from 473 MBPS being 30 feet away to 88 MPBS however there is to much interference. Once I plugged in ethernet back to 473 MBPS. Overall, I'm very pleased since I have a minimum of 190+ wireless in the the other rooms.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Trouble with setup Once I finally got them set up they work excellent. It took me over an hour to set up the first node. It kept failing at different points during the install process. I had to reset it no less than 5 times. Even after that, the app kept freezing to the point I had to close it out and start over.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Needs a little work with the app Used iPhone to install the system. (This is a long review) First, I must say once everything is up and running the system works well. All my devices are running well and if this was the end of my review it would be 5 stars. First problem encountered was the install procedure stalled and there is no way to do anything at that point. The app is absolutely horrid when it gets stuck (loss of a star at this point). I figured ok and installed the app on my iPad and started again from the beginning. All seemed to work just fine. I gave it a new SSID (same name as my old SSID so I would not have to update all my devices) and same password as my old network. I should have known something was wrong when some devices made me fill out the password to connect and some did not. So started watching a movie on my firestick and it was working just fine; about 20 min into movie it freezes, no internet !! Alright, no problem. Checked app and now only 2 velops are showing. The 2nd one added which was where the firestick was connected had disappeared although the light was solid blue. The 3rd one installed was actually red but was showing as good to go on the app. OK, no problem, just reset the 3rd one and reinstall. Now the app froze on the iPad. No problem, reinstalled app on phone and started again. App froze again so now both devices are just stuck. (By the way app does not run on a computer.) Got the third one up and running again, but now the network was not secure anymore. The app showed WPA2 and the password was there, but network still unsecure. At this point I figured it was just time to completely start over. I was thinking maybe the two devices messed something up. Started over and everything went flawless. Network is up and running and not a single issue. I may come back and update later if necessary. Now the bad stuff !! The app does not work on the computer and that may be because they want you to be close to device while setting up and honestly not everyone has a laptop. Not defending the company, but that may be the reason the app does not work on the computer. Also, when the app hangs there is nothing you can do. I just uninstalled and reinstalled to get going again, that’s a no go. Additionally, the app still needs some tweaking because it shows some devices are connected via Ethernet when clearly for some devices it is not even possible; my truck connects to the net and it is reported as an Ethernet connection, not possible. I have 4 devices that are reported as Ethernet but they are all wireless. Fix the app !! Not all people have a modem with LAN inputs so they use a router. If you had more than one lan cable attached to your router then you would not have the option to connect all your devices to the velop because it only has an input for one device. (guess you can use an ethernet switch which will require additional space). For me, OK with my modem with 4 lan hookups, for many others, NO GO !! So you can see the app, no computer support, and one LAN hookup are some issues with the Velop. I will not ding the initial setup, but the install did hang which caused me to switch devices. So that is how Velop only earns 3 STARs from me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product, but... I upgraded from a netgear router which I absolutely loved. I just had dead spots in my house. I saw this and made the purchase. My wifi range is phenomenal! I get great service! The App is great also! My only complaint is the nodes tend to lose connection every once in a while. My biggest complaint is it's a Tri-band router and I can't select what band I want to connect to. My phone is on the 5ghz band and my Xbox and computer only connect to the 2.4ghz band. Please update this!!

The person that assisted me insisted that they couldn’t be connected via Ethernet. I had to read the instructions line by line from their own website and she still said it couldn’t be done. I have know idea what expertise the tech support has but it seems to be none.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally - Total Home WIFI coverage Still to early to give the "VELOP" five stars. But so far so good - I notice a immediate difference with "NETFLIX" streaming (no buffering). The "VELOP" (3 nodes) is covering over 5000 sq. ft. in my home - with TV's constantly streaming, with over 25 devices (phones, IPads, PC's, Washer & Dryer, printers, etc.) and there nothing I can complain about (except a "burp" here and there with Comcast). I had a minor problem during installation (user induced) and had to start the process over - but installation is a straight forward process. All-In-All - if you are experiencing WIFI issues in your home - the may be answer you are looking for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very frustrating system Bought this system to speed up our internet and enable use throughout our home. Modem that came with nodes did not work or have a phone connection port. Instructions were confusing for startup but once we got hooked up with smart phone it was very easy. had to use current modem and once every node was set up it seemed like system was wonderful. Speeds and access throughout home were great. Since then the system is very unreliable and getting connection to internet very time consuming. Tried two different numbers for support and each time got someone who could not begin to help other than ask questions. They claim to have great support but seems to me it is a runaround. If someone doesn't resolve issues soon it will go back!

I got an amazing discount on the 3-pack, paid $300. But it's an amazing system. The first picture is in my living room 15 feet from Node A. The second, in the corner of my second story about 30 linear feet from Node A. I suppose I will install one of the other nodes, for the heck of it, and hope I'll someday have a home large enough to use all 3! The application is also awesome. Had trouble connecting my harmony hub. Went to the app, found the hub and the IP address, and poof, wahla, abra cadabra-connected. I just installed this thing 5 minutes ago, so not much more to speak on yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great WiFi Range - does what it is suppose to do! The product was very easy to setup and get running. The WiFi range is great. I ahve a modules on each floor of my home. I would have given this product the covenant 5 star rating but the product is in its infancy stage. There are some minor problems which hopefully will be rectified as time goes on and the product matures. The first problem is that the admin tool shows devices as connected even though they are powered off. It also shows devices as disconnected even though the devices are on the network and in use. Tool must get easily confused. The second problem is that you can only manage this from a cell phone. I am an old -timer and would like to manage this in the traditional way with using a nice large monitor to see what I am managing. A cell phone screen is only so big. I should not have to purchase a notebook type phone to manage my router. Another problem is related to the second problem. Since you can only manage from a cell phone over the internet, be sure to log-off when your are done. If you lose your phone, do not log-off and your phone is not locked - someone could have access to your router. Need to add an automatic log-off after so many minutes of in-activity. Need the ability to remove devices which are no longer needed to have access to the network. My wireless printer was working ok but something occurred where it now takes about 10 minutes to print something. Hopefully, these are all growing pains and things will improve with the ability to manage this device more effectively..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Inconsistent Performance While I like the better coverage across the house, performance is very inconsistent. My WIRED connection CONSISTENTLY provides 350+ Mbps download speed and 23 Mbps upload speed, but my wireLESS connection does not provide consistent speeds at all. Sometimes it provides 150 Mbps download speed, which would be fantastic if it were consistent. But many times I get 7-8 Mbps download speed at the same place with the same device. (BTW, don't trust the speed test within the online app. It just gives you the wired download speed, so it always looks like it is fast. Use a third party online speed test.) At least with my previous WAP, I got consistent speeds. These devices cost WAY to much to provide such inconsistent performance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Inconsistent. Not worth the price. I have six of the Velops. I tried four but couldn't get coverage over 6,600 square feet. After less than a year, and without moving any of the nodes, four of them will not longer connect to the alleged mesh. I have unplugged them and replugged them. They have the latest firmware. I dropped them, factory-reset them, and readded them. I've run the channel finder multiple times. Remember, the network worked for months and now it doesn't, but nothing has moved. I've talked to tech support more times than I can count. I never had any issues with Apple gear for years, except that they stopped selling it. These devices are flakey and error-prone. When they work, they are OK. Now that they seem to be broken, they are nothing but plastic decorations. Buy something else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great system - when it's working..... I've had this system for about 8 months and when it works it's great. The down side is I've had to call Tech for assistance to get it working 3 times, each time I've been on the phone for at least 1.5 hours with tech and one time they gave up and said they couldn't help me, it mysteriously reset itself an hour after I got off the phone. Today I went through the system, direct wired an old PC I had to test the internet before I called so I burned my entire morning, 1.5 hours checking stuff and direct wiring to the PC (had internet, router would not connect though) then another 1.5 hours (my phone says 1hr. 36 min. 31 sec. for the call) before it was up and working. Again, when it's working it's great, great coverage, but... I would not buy this system again. My last router worked for 5 years before I had any connectivity issues, I just wanted to upgrade to a better system. For the money I paid I did not expect these issues, especially this often, if the internet goes down it completely screws the router up and then you waste you're morning with technical assistance. This time they got it going, last time they actually gave up. When I questioned the tech today about the reliability of the system she said if I had problems again maybe they could do something........ They've always been polite and helped as much as they could but that doesn't help if the system is down, I use this system for my work also, that's why I spent the extra money. I've got the feeling I'll be shelling out cash for another system before long. I'm not impressed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Home WiFi Supercharged! Love It! Buy It! Had a 2-in-1 cable/modem before I upgraded to this and WOW! I'm blown away by the difference in wireless performance that I'm getting, my download and upload speeds are superfast and I get a consistent connection with no drops and issues whatsoever around my apartment. Here is basically my experience with this product from the time I've had it. I'm able to use it in my backyard and still able to get great performance and speeds. PROS: - Easy and intuitive setup with the iOS/Android app - Supercharged fast AC wireless - Elegant and small design - Cable management - Consistent connection with no lag or dropped wireless signal - Device prioritization within Linksys App is a plus for my Smart TVs and game consoles - Rename devices connected and change name or device prioritization - One network offers both bands and devices connect to the appropriate band automatically CONS: - Linksys App parental controls doesn't let you block websites not friendly for minors, only lets you block specific sites and time online - Great app to manage it but the web based settings are basic nor work sometimes Linksys App: The app used to setup the router is fast, easy, and intuitive. I love that the app allows you to see how many devices are connected at a glance. The fact that you still have access to your network remotely even though one isn't home is a great plus since I'm able to see what devices are connected and able to disconnect and block them from my phone. Has essential router settings like parental controls, MAC address filtering, guest network access, notifications when your node goes offline for whatever reason, built in speedtest, options to change port settings, and of course internet connection settings. In conclusion anyone who wants fast, reliable, consistent wireless connection that works great without the need of a range extender this is an awesome option. If you purchase this router system I promise you that you won't regret it, you'll be very satisfied. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask me and I'll be more than happy to answer them.

One month later, I cannot believe that everything is working flawlessly, without rebooting anything, nor anything dropping off the network. I really, really, really like the App as I can tell without a doubt what is connected to the network. Word of caution here, connect one item at a time, rename it in the App so you know what it is before moving on to the next.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Velop is an Awesome Product I bought the 3 node system to cover my 3100 sq ft 2 story home plus basement. Bottom line - wow! I had a WRT1900AC i was trying to use to cover the whole house, tried hi gain antenna, had tried multiple access points and repeaters in the past. None of that compared to the speed and ease of Velop. The nodes all set up easily and all connected without a hitch. I moved one of them to a wired backhaul easily. Everywhere in my home now gets great speed and connectivity. Walking around the house my iDevices move from node to node without an issue. I also went ahead and put Velop in bridge mode to split the load of numerous wired devices (TVs, game consoles, Apple TV, desktop computers, etc) and wireless devices. This works really well. Painless setup and great performance. Although you do lose a number of features on ghe Velop system like tracking what devices are connecting to what nodes, etc. That known limitation aside, for ease if setup, speed. and flexibility thus product is an easy 5.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautifully Designed And Excellent Speeds The Velop Whole-home Wifi 3-Pack came in a beautiful designed box, the unboxing experience was pure joy, simple and elegant. As you open the box you have 3 gorgeous routers staring you in the face. These are designed with class you will not want to hide them in a closet or behind things, you can leave these in the open and barley notice them. They did a wonderful job designing these. The setup process was very easy, you can tell they did a lot of engineering to make this go as smooth as it can. The setup is done via an App, both android and iOS is supported. So please make sure you have a tablet or phone ready. Setting up the first node is simple, just following the instructions on the app, once that is setup you have options to setup more nodes, again very easy if you just follow the app. I had zero issues setting mine up. Each node has 2 ethernet ports, your first node will have to be used as WAN/LAN but the other nodes will provide 2 LAN ports. My first node I have a switch connected to the LAN port with zero issues. I believe you can also set these nodes up using ethernet cables vs wireless, but to me I don't see why you need to because the wireless connection to each node is solid. Coming from my old router I see huge speed improvements in certain parts of my house. For example one room in my house was almost impossible to get wifi to, when I did a speed test it came in at 41/20 and could only be on the 2.4ghz range, never could I get anything to connect using 5ghz range. Once I placed a node in this room I was able to get 150/25, a huge improvement. The speeds are like that throughout my house, I have 1 node in my basement and two nodes upstairs. I can walk anywhere in the house and alway have full bars and a fast connection. I'm also seeing a huge improvements on my connection outside of the house, so its nice to be in the yard and still have wifi. Streaming netflix, youtube and playing video games (xbox) I had zero buffering issues, I haven't tried streaming 4k. I have 25 devices connected to my nodes and haven't noticed any issues yet. I do have a con for the Velop system, the parental controls need improved, I believe they can do that in the next update or two. I have no way to setup times I want my kids to access the internet, the app says to use the web gui but when you go to the web gui there is nothing there to setup the parental controls. The only thing the app lets you do is block websites or that user. Also the geek inside me wants more control, I would like to see support where i can change the LAN IP and access to a web gui. Also IPv6 support. I am very impressed with this system, the speed and the range can not be beat, well done Linksys, well done.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect in every way I needed. I had a 5 year old router, that died and replaced it with the "budget" model which turned out to be an ac750. After the "upgrade" I learned a lot more about these devices and decided to go for the velop 3 pack. Not only does the speed and reliability blow me away, but it made me aware of how much I was missing out before I bought this. Prior to Velop my devices would fail to load pages, Netflix would buffer, the Xbox would freeze, and I was happy with my internet speed. I now have no issues with connectivity anywhere, and was able to switch my smart tv and Xbox to wireless, but the speed was so good I paid to upgrade my service. I live in a small complex so the 3 pack was overkill, but I do intend to move soon. However right now the signal reaches into the parking lot, that means it extends through multiple other homes and is still good enough to use my phones wifi from across the lot. Actually impressed on that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Horrible Speeds, Not what they say I have the 3 pack for about a month and a half now, and I was hoping to get the 100% speeds throughout my house like they advertise. I do not get even close to the speeds from my ISP. I get 367-370 MPS from my ISP, and when I do a speed test from my phone (galaxy S7) on the 5ghz channel, I get 253 MPS (at best) and when I am on the 2.4GHZ channel, it is in the 90's. I spent a lot of money on this and switched from the Google Wifi (which was MUCH cheaper) because of the tri band functionality and thought that would make a difference. NOT I am VERY disappointed!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far, all great. Just installed. Remarks, mostly gripes as constructive criticism because that's what stands out at the moment. Velop 3-node set up 8 days ago so the main point of it all is accomplished. 1) Install worked okay with a few hiccups concerning the admin login password. Do wish there was a management page available from PC. My elderly eyes spent much time squinting at the app on my tablet. The app on my phone would have been impossible. Wish the app switched to landscape when the tablet and phone are rotated. 2) Would like an easier way to turn the guest network on and off. It's not obvious in the app and the app apparently thinks I've logged onto and off of the guest network. 3) How is the beautiful packaging disposed of? Took way to much work flattening and wasn't recyclable 4) And speaking of packaging, why the excess packing materials? I ordered direct from Linksys/Belkin and it arrive pronto but in a too large box with lots of brown crumpled paper wasted to keep it from rattling around. Have we forgotten about what goes into our landfills? 5) Do wish it had one USB 3.1 port. 6) I do like the very minimalist printed material (warranty and "go get the app"). Hope other customers can get by without more instruction, this is the 20-teens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY!! BE AWARE!! I bought this unit from target the price was about $320 i got it on clearance. I was happy for it. Thought it is going to work out great but NOO. The setup was a bit complicated also but i managed to work it out. Now comes the internet speed. I have fiber internet it was supposed to give me more than 500mbps. But no it was barely giving me speed of 75 mbps. That is like not even 10 percent. I was like ok lets try it near the main unit. The speed did boost up but only 150 Mbps. Which is ok to stream but i am not getting what I actually paid for. I got really sick of it. So I went ahead and bought ORBI from NETGEAR. You won't believe the I was actually getting the speed of 950 Mbps from the satellite alone which was on the second floor. The range between the main unit was about 30 feet but still it was unbelievable. Also, no network problems no nothing. Keep my suggestion do not get this unit if you want your speed you are paying for. Netgear Orbi is best mesh wifi.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the worst Mesh Wi-Fi System I bought this for one day and tried to set it up but the range is just horrible. Connecting from basement as the main node to the main floor area and barely have connection. The 3rd node is just unreachable. This product is very newly develop and have very buggy application. I would say give this another 2 or 3 years to fully develop and tested.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrible!! Velop is simple to setup and when it works, it delivers excellent Wi-fi throughout the home. I have had the system for about 6 weeks and have lost the connection at least 25 times. No reason, it just goes pink and everything comes to a grinding halt. Sometimes a simple unplug and plug it back in gets it going again and then there are times when everything needs to be unplugged and then restarted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Magnificent Mesh! Although I've received three review requests from Linksys, I always wait a full three weeks before I review a tech product, so if there are Gremlins lurking they've raised their heads by now. No Gremlins I'm happy to report! We have a 3,000+ sq ft house, two stories, and we spend a good deal of our days in the back yard. Our Velop system gives us great coverage all over the house as well as a decent signal along the back fence of our back yard, a good 80 feet from the house. Easy installation, app is clear and concise with instructions. We're very pleased!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Releeased too early? After quite a bit of on-line research, I chose the Velop system. The initial unit install was flawless. Unit number two was placed at the far end of the house and also performed quite well. It was the third unit they gave me problems. After close to twos on the phone with Linksys support (which was very professional) we ended up reloading the firmware on the third unit. We finally had the entire system operational!! Loved it......that is unit my cable modem fell off of the air. I rebooted my Arris Docsis 3.0 modem and was unable to sync the Velop router. At this point not wanting to spend any more time on it, I boxed up the Velop system and plugged in my Asus MIMO. Sorry Linksys. Great idea but not ready for prime time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Review By… and For… Non-techy-types The Linksys Velop AC-6600 3-node Mesh WiFi system will speed-up and expand your wireless network easily and painlessly. First, you should know that I am not a technically savvy person. When I first started reading about and researching “mesh” WiFi systems, the jargon and technical information was bewildering. But what I could easily understand was that a “mesh” system could expand the reach of my home WiFi and likely could also improve the speed and overall performance I was getting. So, I started trying to compare the various systems on the market. In the end, my decision was decidedly “non-technical.” I am a big fan of Apple products, and Apple has the Linksys Velop system listed amongst accessories in their on-line store, so I figured Apple must have “vetted” the system and deemed it good. I ordered the Velop AC-6600 directly from the Linksys website. Ordering was easy and straight-forward. The system arrived a few days later. The first thing that struck me was that there are NO instructions for installation in the box. Turns out, there is no need for instructions. Simply download the Linksys App to your phone or tablet, and start it up. The app walks you through the installation in easy steps that even a neophyte like me can understand. The first node in a multi-node system like I bought should (perhaps logically) be installed next to your internet modem. I unplugged my Apple Airport (which has served me well but was limited in range and slowed dramatically when multiple devices were accessing the internet at the same time), and plugged in the first node of the Linksys system. The Linksys app steps you through this. But I got hung up at this first step because the first node didn’t seem to want to get started. Turns out that I simply re-booted my cable modem, and restarted the Linksys installation app, and everything proceeded without a glitch. Once the first node is up and running, then you can install additional nodes. The app asks you if you want to, and you simply click “yes.” Place the second node to extend your mesh network. I put the second node about 65 feet away, in another room, separated from the first node by one of the few original walls left in my home… an old-time metal lath and plaster wall that has frequently caused problems with my cellular reception. No problem for the Linksys Velop, though. The second node fired right up with nary a hitch. The third node went into my woodworking shop which is a separate structure, connected to the house by a “vestibule” or “mud-room.” In summation, there is a distance of about 45 feet, and three walls, separating Node 1 from Node 3. Again, no problem for the Velop system. This node, too, came to life quickly and joined right into the “mesh.” I now have full speed WiFi coverage throughout my entire house, throughout my woodworking shop, and for quite a distance outside. In fact, in a barn approximately 150 feet from the house, I have full WiFi strength on my iPhone and iPad. After a few days I noticed that the node in my shop would occasionally display a “purplish” light rather than the normal “bluish” light, indicating that the node had lost its connection to the main node. Within a few minutes the light would again be blue, and all was well. Seemed to be some intermittent issue. I called customer service and quickly was routed to a specialist who walked me through a routine in the Linksys app that optimizes the connections. The technician instructed me to call back if that didn’t permanently correct the problem. Well, the next day I noticed that node had again lost its connection, but rather than call back I simply rotated the node a quarter-turn counter-clockwise. The problem cropped up again the next day, so I turned the node another quarter-turn, and since have had no dropped signals or problems at all. Remember, I’m no technical guru, so I have no idea why that solved the issue, but hey, who am I to argue with success? If you have read this far, you are probably not a technically proficient person, either… you are simply looking for a real-life review of whether this system will give you better WiFi coverage and/or better speeds. I will relay one story to answer that question… When mowing our rather large property, I wear Bluetooth-connected noise-dampening headphones, partly to listen to music rather than mower noise, and partly to protect my hearing. I connect to internet radio stations through my phone, and the signal goes through Bluetooth to my headphones. There were several spots where I predictably always lost the WiFi signal to my phone, thereby losing my connection to the internet radio station, thereby losing my music. Not anymore. I have full WiFi coverage all over my couple of acres! My wife did not know that I was changing out our WiFi system, but the first time she reclined with her iPad to do a little surfing, she said, “Wow, the internet is really speedy tonight!” I confessed to spending the money to upgrade our WiFi and she deemed it a wise investment. I think you probably will, too. Our household has a desktop iMac, two MacBook laptop computers, two iPads, and three iPhones in addition to a WiFi-connected television. Often, all are on at the same time. This is when the speed increase seems to really shine. Need more coverage? A mesh system is the answer. Need more speed? You will definitely get it. Need more WiFi capacity to serve multiple connected devices? That, too. Want to install it yourself easily and without having to be a super-tech? The Linksys app will do the nerd duties for you. All-in-all, I’m pretty doggone happy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stable connection I’ve tried the Orbi and Velopsystems. The Orbi was faster, but froze several times during my trial period. Throughput on Velop was slower, but connection was consistent. My Velop throughput speeds vary more than I would like but it hasn’t been a problem so far. Furthermore, Netgear help desk has been far superior to Netgear. For that reason I recommend the Velop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Overall, great product! I have had my Velop 3 unit mesh network system installed for over a month now. I have a 4500 sq. ft. 3 story home and I had a LOT of dead zones with my previous router & extender (Netgear high-end units). I would say the mesh system got rid of about 90% of the dead spots. I do have one computer on the first floor in the kitchen that still drops it's connection occasionally (quite rarely, actually - it used to be WAY worse) but other than that one box, everything else is working really well. It's awesome to be able to walk around the whole house with a tablet and never lose your connection like I used to. The system was very easy to set up - good instructions come with it too. I would highly recommend this system to anyone looking to upgrade to mesh! -Alan Salls

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Wireless Coverage you can buy! Setup The process to setup each of the 3 Nodes was a very simple process. All you need is a smartphone with the Linksys app installed. During the setup the app lets you create a wireless network and it uses one name to make it really simple. The app was simple with easy to follow instructions for setting up each of the included nodes. The app even helped by telling me if the nodes were in good range of each other for better performance. The whole Velop system is then controlled by the app for settings such as device prioritization and guest networks. The app is easy to use and a much easier way to control than the typical confusing web interface that's usually included with routers. Design/Performance Linksys made the Velop system a very clean and pleasing tower design with a nice neutral white color with a small led on top for status. I was able to put these throughout my house and it simply blended in wherever I put them. Great design choice. The nodes each have a quad core processor inside. Each node operates on 2 5ghz channels and one 2.4GHZ channels which makes this a very powerful router system. Each 5ghz band is 867mbps and the 2.4ghz is 400mbps. I have about 20 or so wireless devices in my family, so this system has no problem getting max speeds out of your wireless connection. The system even has Alexa voice integration built inside. Everyday Use The Linksys Velop system once setup is completely easy to maintain. The devices automatically change wireless channels as needed and even updates each node for you automatically. The system even intelligently finds the best path to transfer data between the nodes for optimal performance. One of the easiest wireless systems I have ever used. It is literally setup and use. You never have to worry about anything with this system. It manages itself. Final Words I have to say mesh wireless is one of the greatest things to happen to consumer wireless. I didn't think these 3 small towers would be able to beat my current router but I was wrong. The Linksys Velop system gives me great speeds with incredible range throughout my 2 story house. It covers my whole house as well as the garage, front, and backyard. The support of this product is also a 3 year warranty which is unbelievable. The typical warranty for wireless products is 1 year and this is 3 so your getting unbeatable service. I would definitely recommend this product if your looking for the best coverage for your network.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Please with Velop, installation was challenging First, I would like to thank you for the opportunity to participate in the Belkin & Linksys Friends and Family Discount. After reading reviews of the Linksys Velop Whole Family Wi-Fi system in various publications as well as the LINKSYS website, I decided that with the discount it was too good of an opportunity to pass up. I purchased the Velop 3PK for to upgrade our families growing WiFi needs. After completing the installation, I must say I have been pleased with the Velop system. I upgraded from a NETGEAR Nighthawk AC1900 Smart WiFi Router with one add on NETGEAR Dual Band Wi-Fi Range Extender. We leverage WiFi for 2 Work-From-Home laptops and approximately 18 WiFi devices. Qualitatively I believe our WiFi service is now better. I think the administrative app is intuitive and easy to use. The flexibility to prioritize devices as a standard configuration or when a specific event is required has worked very nicely. Most of all the intelligence of the system to automatically select the closest node based on where you are in the house along with matching the best band based with the device’s capability is fantastic. Unfortunately, installation was challenging to say the least. The product that was shipped had extremely outdated firmware that could not automatically update during installation. In addition, one of the three nodes that were shipped were defective. These two issues together resulted in 7 hours (until 1am the first day) with Level 1 support and an additional 3 hours the following day with Level 2 support. Level 1 support was able to get 2 of the 3 nodes firmware upgraded and working so the network could be functional the following day. Level 2 support worked diligently until it was determined that the 3rd node was defective at which time a product replacement was ordered with rush delivery. As I have an IT background I would like to commend the support team for their efforts. Besides the troubleshooting they insured that the replacement unit had the latest firmware version. I was able to easily add the new 3rd node. Once I got beyond the installation challenges due to product defects, I have been pleased with the system. Thanks again for allowing me to participate in the Belkin & Linksys Friends and Family Discount.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awful performance for the price tag I bought the Velop system about a year ago. The specs indicated I was overbuying based on the size our home, but we will be moving and I wanted something that could cover a bigger space. The Velop can't even cover our 1200 sq foot main floor. The child nodes frequently lose signal from the parent and the speeds are nowhere close to what I would have expected. And that's when it's working. The connection is very inconsistent with frequent ups and downs in connectivity. I spent HOURS on the phone with their customer service when I first bought it, but it has never worked right and I just gave up as far trying to optimize.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Poor Wifi Performance and Frequent Node Failures! I have been using WiFi 5 Mesh Router like Orbi. I got 3 Pack Velop Mesh Router. After a few attempts, all nodes were configured with the latest firmware. I have tested the internet speed on a wired network which is the same as Router speed (940 mbps). However, the wifi performance is sup par with Orbi. I am getting only 220 Mbps in Velop where Orbi provides 500 to 600 mbps download speed consistently. Another major issue, nodes will go down very frequently and won't connect to the internet. I have to unplug and restart velop nodes to connect back to the internet. It is almost every other day. I have spent more than 5 hours with the first level and the second level support and they agreed that the device is defective to get it replaced. Customer care is not willing to replace it as it was a replacement for EA9500 which warranty was expired for EA9500. If Linksys is sending a replacement, please note that they will take the original product purchase date not the new one they send for a replacement. Now, I have 3 nodes as a paperweight at home. I spent almost a week working with Customer care and support all went in vain. I suggest NOT to buy Linksys products as their customer care has no clue about their company policies.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from a bit underwhelmed by product dropping or lag I've used other Linksys products and haven't had the issues observed with the AC6600 (3 Velop) system. I moved from an older AC1900 which worked pretty flawlessly and whose set up was simple. With the Velop I consistently have dropped connections, random lag times which make video conferencing literally unreliable, less one is ok with 20 to 60 sec drop outs. I'm also not greatly impressed with the set up app since I wished to still use my older AC1900, rename the Velop Network to a new SSID, and retain an existing MAC. The app seems not to support an out of norm set up and I couldn't find a basic how to on the Linksys site. Getting this info was a very time consuming prospect between calling and chat. Once out of the app things seam not documented, going back to the app to set up the remaining two Velops wasn't intuitive until I searched the net for someone's Youtube video on getting back to a midpoint in the app. I will say the live support folk were excellent and very patient with me. They walked me through the initial set up (which was a complete fail trying the app) and was able to get the system working. I delayed adding my older AC1900 into the mix for now but feel I may have to avoid drops on video conferencing. In the last 2 weeks, while signal strength is excellent, apps such as Zoom, MS Teams, Google video calls have consistent drop outs. My work pc flags the WiFi hook up as strong yet often shows "no internet connection" even though I can bounce about with web searches, browsing, other non time sensitive apps. I thought some of the drops were due to my work PC but I've noted this on a new Lenovo PC with newer Intel WiFi module .. too I've since noted some streaming apps on my TV where movies hang. With the older AC1900, I had not these issues. I'm going to try some of the Linksys configuration tips and try to eliminate the drops but my main complaint would be why? For the price and maturity of the product one would think these issues would be resolved with software or firmware updates and not require folks to have to resort to tweaking what should be done by default. I'd be less critical if my older unit had similar issues or if other OEMs products were noted as having such issues or required similar owner interaction but my older unit was mindless for configuration and other friends have noted no issues with their mesh systems from other OEMs. I chose Linksys as others had, my previous great experiences with their products. In my configuration automatic updates was selected, so while I'll check if my unit has the latest updates .. I shouldn't need to. I am not 100% trusting that the Linksys app had this set up as automatic as it's recommended to check the revision for most anyone stating disappointment. I will again note that the live support folks are great, they've saved me a lot of time for things that I thought wouldn't be needed if apps or info on line were easily found. Overall I'm not entirely sold on how Linksys advertised the Velop. I suppose if I had a brand new set up, ISP, etc I may have a different opinion/experience but in reading many of the latest reviews it appears I'm not alone in being a bit underwhelmed. I guess only final thought would be I wished I opted for the WiFi6 system in hopes lessons learned were incorporated in the new product or that I opted for an alternate OEM .. but again, like others went with my trust in Linksys. Oh well, I'll rely on their live support and check their Article num 316994 for tips and possible solutions to consistent drops.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's working now and it seems to be consistent. I guess I was hoping for more. I was expecting this system to set up easy and we can be on our way. It took over 2 hours with Linksys support to finally get it working. It has been very consistent since then. We have many internet devices in our home and so far they seem to be ok. I would not say blazing fast, but ok and steady. We have internet. This system is not cheap. I guess I was expecting it to be more robust and devices to respond better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Mesh Wifi Option Got them several weeks back and slowly appreciating the stronger wifi distribution throughout the house. Had to make some technical adjustments--which include locating the best spots for the Nodes, and to use the Velop as my WiFi router or simply to have Nodes act like "extenders" (can't remember the tech term--child node?) and not have the App feature to control home network. Went for the former. Love the the visual on the home network with the ability to check networks upload and download capacity and who is on what device on the network. Several moments when the nodes went offline (Red Status) and had to wait for them to reboot! Did reach out to Linksys via the App Support and never got an answer/reply. Overall it is working nicely and everyone seems to be happy the speed as we Remote from Home.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from constantly drops signal I have a 2 floor 3,000 sq ft house w/ confirmed 1 TB feed from ISP. Purchased this system to use Netflix and game console without interruption. Unfortunately, after many attempts speaking with a Linksys rep my system still continues to frequently drop the signal (then reconnect), as well lose connection to one of the nodes (then reconnect). All this dropping and reconnecting even though only for short period stops what i am using on the system. Would not recommend product based on issues i have had, and lack of being able to resolve. Additionally, the app is not very user friendly, nor does it provide metrics for each node for speed, connection, etc - rather just to the main node

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just does not work.... Setup the Velop AC6600 today - what a waste of time! Setup is quick and hassle free; however, getting it to work is a complete nightmare. After 6 hours I gave up and switched back to my old router. It would automatically drop active devices - they would show up as offline. I also have a website running and I had setup a virtual server which would port forward correctly and work fine for a few minutes and then simply drop the connection. Give it a few minutes and it would start working again - what a nightmare! Bottom line - Stay away from this router!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bad steering I have 3 nodes spread out around the house in an L shape. Two child nodes are separated by huge area and a lot of concrete, and fridge, so there is supposed to be almost 0 crosstalk between child nodes. Bad Experience 1: Still, node steering always messes up the node signal. Client steering always pushes client to master node when a child node is literally beside the computer. A lot a lot of intermittent packet drops, random lattency spikes of up to 5 seconds per ping. Bad Experience 2: Very little configuration options, obviously designed only for folks watching Youtube on your phones and basic email and web browsing. If you're gonna play online games (read CS:GO) , don't buy this. Bad Experience 3: Just 2 days ago, the master node randomly abandoned all child nodes. Spent 3 hours setting everything up again. Had to reset all nodes. Imagine how painful it will be if you have 10 nodes. All good until third day, then bad node/client steering kicks in + intermittent dropped packets and high latency strikes back. Setup Experience: Easy and highly guided. BUT - like i said. resetting just 3 nodes took me 3 hours to get everything all up. App says, wait 6 minutes. It's a lie. It's wait 6 minutes + more but we don't know how much. Marketing 101 - estimate higher not lower. Reliability: Unreliable. Read bad experiences. Range: Yeah range is good, no complains, really paints my house. But with not so good internet. Speed: It's fast when it works. Utter paper weight when it doesnt. P.S Btw, if you guys think it's a bandwidth issue, no it's not. I have 1Gbps up AND down links. Tested with my laptop directly to the optical fibre termination point over cat 6. The velop is the only bottleneck cos wifi, but that's fine. It's the lagginess that is unacceptable. P.P.S This is actually my second Velop product. First one was a duo-band one. Had the exact same issues with slower speed. Then I hoped upgrading to Tri-band would help. Nope, I gues not. Gonna scratch LinkSys and all Belkin related systems out of my brochures.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from decade of loyalty i bought a velop after i spoke with linksys directly about upgrading like i always have before 5 other linksys devices! the last two times speaking with linksys i was sold a polished pile of garbage. granted these items worked for 30 days only to drop and disconnect. i was upfront about the size and conditions of my home. 40 devices with 20 online at a time. was assured that velop would/could handle my needs. Boy were they wrong! i would have gladly upgraded to the wifi 6 system, was told the over priced tri band ac6600 would be right for the course. now im out 1000$ and buying a different brands item because of bad product knowledge right from linksys!. since 2003 been a linksys customer... now its net gear. please do your research linksys needs to earn back my business!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not a good system at all even at half price. Consistent loss of signal. Literally getting issues every single day if my internet goes through the nodes, but 1Gbps download and upload if I go directly to my modem. To show how bad it is, and how frustrated I am, this is the second review i'm submitting today after spending the last hour tagging all one star / do not recommend reviews as helpful, and reviews that recommend and not helpful. Seriously, go look at the first two pages after this review sorted by "Most Recent". Yup, every single review was reviewed by me. PS. Firmware is latest as of this review as well. It just seems like not enough effort and testing has been put into this product. As a software developer and a network engineer I honestly cannot recommend this product to anyone. If my life depended on my internet (sadly it does now because COVID19), I would be risking my life everyday (and yes I am risking my job now).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Helped resolve EA9300 internet interruptions AC6600 replaced a 2-year old $300 EA9300 tri-band that worked fine until last November presumably after a software update, a RE6500 extender, and adding 5 Nest web cams caused sporadic, frequent Internet broadband disconnects that disrupted everything (work-related remote desktop terminal sessions, video streaming, camera video uploads, everything). Had worked w/ ISP, Nest, and Linksys techs to no avail. VPN and most desktop programs except those requiring persistent connections (PuttySSH, RDP, Cisco Skype for Business, MS Teams) were disconnected/interrupted. The AC6600 is almost perfect, resolving virtually all of these disconnects but have only had the system up for less than 12 hours. Fairly easy set-up using the Apple Linksys app (the web based system admin page is also still available) and even cameras seem to be staying on-line. I named the AC6600 with the same wifi name as the EA9300 and about 1/3 of the devices did not require wi-fi definition/password re-entry. So far no Apple TV streaming stalls, and only one RDP session disconnect noticed. Now, there was an software auto-update at midnight that seemed to require a manual reboot. I got a great price deal when phoned into Linksys tech support that isn't advertised on-line. Plus supposedly this is the HIGH END model w/ 3 years support. The published on-line manual though seems outdated with PPPoe instructions that my ISP says haven't been widely used since the phone modem days. It was pretty much plug and play. I do have my work laptop connected via ethernet cable (the units each have 2 ethernet ports and if 1 is used for internet the other can be used for ethernet direct device). Confused about the power off/on vs red reset button on bottom of each unit. Not sure how to do a factory reset, as the on-line manuals aren't detailed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unreliable and no way to debug Bought this a month ago. Was working fine at first but decided to add a 4th node for better coverage of third floor. Not able to setup the additional node. Spent more than 4h with support chat (phone support is not available right now due to severe understaffing) Support does not understand how to solve a problem and just keeps walking through step by step instructions. Doesn't even realize that we've been walking through the same steps a dozen times. There's a discrepancy between the device list online status (which mostly shows the nodes as online), the Velop Administration (which also mostly shows them online but occasionally as offline for brief periods) and the LED which is always solid red when the device list shows the nodes as online. Can ping their IPv4 address while status LED shows red. The complete lack of insight on system status in a reliable manner and with no way to debug what is going on gives me the impression this is more of a toy than a system meant for professionals

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Constantly dropping connections;Poor speed I bought this 3 months ago. Setup was easy. However it is constantly dropping the internet and my connections state that the connection has no internet access. IN addition, the speed is very lacking in comparison to what I had previously. Never had this problem before ever with my previous router which was Apple's Timecapsule. I live in a 1-story house that is pretty wide open. It is very unreliable and not suited for someone who works from home everyday

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Product Is good, HomeKit promise is appalling I bought 5 of these units as they had good reviews in February 2020 and was saying Apple HomeKit was coming soon. I bought them in April expecting the firmware upgrade soon, but here we are many months on and still no date for when HomeKit will be supported. How poor is this, just poor poor poor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unreliable at best This is my second attempt at a warning to anyone else considering purchasing these over priced paperweights. Evidently, my first review was not glowing enough to be published..... They will not maintain connection. The diagnostic tools are non-existent The setup is easy enough a monkey could do it, but there is no real feedback if there are any issues, and there will be issues.... Every day at least 1 of the 5 nodes in my two-story, 2100 square foot house will lose connection. The light on the node remains blue, there is no notification from the app. Node Steering does not seem to work either. I can be at the furthest point from the master node, with 2 nodes between my device and the master, and it will still connect to the master... even though it is showing in the app as having a very weak connection. Do not waste your time until Linksys fixes the issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not sure if it's worth the money This is to respond Linksys tech support. Yes, the first thing I did after setting the 3 nodes was updating the firmware to the latest. As mentioned in my previous comment, I used the channel finder and it didn't help. The house is not that big, 2500 sq ft and 2 levels without major obstructions in either the house structure or in the house between the nodes. The 2.4 GHz network devices are still stuck with the main node, regardless of their distance and signal strength. So, I see zero intelligence in the system.
