Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast internet, frustrating parental controlJust bought this router and the internet connection is amazing and we love it, BUT found out that the only parental control for blocking websites is where you literally have to put them in yourself as blocked sites. When using my old router (which wasn't as nice) you could just go under and select to block all malicious and adult sites or just block malicious sides Etc which makes it easy when you have a little child and you don't know what websites they might accidentally click on so you don't know what to block or what will be a malicious site. Adding the old parental feature would bring the rating up to 5 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great featuresThe only problem I have with the EA7300 is the set up. I was not able to set it up myself and had to call customer service. I got to the last step and was not able to go any further. I was informed that I was following the right steps but it wasn't going to work. Abby(who was very courteous, knowledgeable and patient) had to walk me thru the set up and it was quite lengthy. She informed me that if I gave her authorization to take control of my PC there is a fee. After having just spent 140 bucks for this unit. I declined. Of the 4 or 5 Linksys Router's I've purchased. This is the first one I wasn't able to set up on my own. Other than that this is a great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent range and ease of useI've used for 3 weeks. Range exceeds anything I've recently used (ASUS Dark Knight and Motorola). I used URL for setup, which was super easy. It offers some parental controls but difficult to customize them (no integration of OpenDNS, etc.).

The short setup guide is very easy to follow and I had the router working in no time. I was ecstatic to find the speed and range is twice that of my previous router. We have connected about a dozen wireless devices to the AC1750 with no speed or signal lag issues thanks to the dual bands.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great ProductPrior to receiving the MAX-STREAM AC 1750 router I was using a Linksys WRT54G2 V1.5 router for my four computers and Kindle Fire. The new Max-Stream is considerably faster with a much greater range than the old WRT54G2. The setup was extremely simple and within a short time I was up and running. I have 1 desk top PC hard wired to the router and another desk top on WiFi which prior to the new router had to be hard wired into the old router. It is now on wifi and works great. I also have 2 laptops that are on wifi and one is a considerable distance from the router but doesn’t have any problems receiving the signal. The Max-Stream is a great product that I would recommend to anyone in need of a router.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well most of the timeI bought this a few weeks ago as I have always used Linksys routers ever since I got into wireless many years back. This one replaced a 6300 as I needed something more powerful for movies and guests.It works well but a few times it suddenly stops transmitting. The power stays on but there is no signal output. Even rebooting did not help and I had to reinstall my old 6300 to have wireless in the house again. The next day I tried the 7300 again and it worked. About a week later, it quit again, no transmitting. Rebooting did not help. Left it unplugged overnight and the next day it is working again. I don't know if I can trust it but will give it one more time before sending it back to Linksys and try a different brand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 5G Wi-Fi signal dropsI gto this router for 8 months with out any issues, but in the last 3 weeks i stated noticing that my 5G channel was dropping for no reason and my speed was 20mbps when i have 100 mbps. I tought that because was wi-fi was ok but even wired i was getting like less than 40mbps when is supposed to be more than a 100. I called Technical support and after they conducted a remote assistance restoring the router they came to a conclusion that my router was defective. Finally ichose to send it back to Linksys to get a replacement and hopefully i wont get into more situations like i had previously. Waiting for my new router. This is a great router and it does what it says in the specifications, you can control almost everything in the settings and is very reliable. hopefully i dont have to go with the same issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You need this!!!!This product has solved all the problems I was having with my previous router. I have a basement office laptop that is some distance from the router. The signal must pass through two concrete foundation walls and some earth before it gets there. My cable modem produces about 60 Mbps and I was only getting 6-8 Mbps at my office location with frequently dropped signal. It was frustrating. This new router produces 4-5 bars of signal strength and a download speed of around 12 Mbps consistently to my laptop. Happy dance!!! Setup was a breeze and I like that there isn't an array of bright flashing lights across the front. A thoughtfully designed and well made product.

I'm getting better coverage within my home, in fact I don't need the range extender I was using on my third floor. The new router is in the basement. I have not noticed better reception outside the home, however. Everything is faster - pages load quickly and video 'buffering ' is only seconds if at all.

Setup was a little difficult because the instructions aren't detailed enough. I had to call customer service and have them walk me through the steps. But now that it's up and running, it works fine.

The instructions to setup the router are clear and concise. It took about one minute for the router to become operational after connecting it to the modem. Both the 2.4G and 5G networks appeared on my iPad. After joining the 5G network, I found a significant improvement in both range and download/upload speeds over my old router.

I bought EA 7300 and I have noticed a significant increase in speed especially in 5G signal and bigger coverage area. I love it. I currently have about 17 devices connected to it with no problems.

This covers the house completely. My neighbors ask me what router I have because they say they read a stronger signal in their houses across the street with my router than they have with the one they own. I have wireless coverage throughout my yard & house including the basement. GREAT ROUTER AT A GREAT PRICE.

I am a PERMANENT Linksys customer! They always provide what they advertise and I am always pleased with the ease of instillation and use. When ever a friend needs help with their router...I tell them I will get the right one for them and install it...they think I'M A GENIUS!!!

Having bought and leased modems and routers from the phone company over the years,( and spending hours on the phone trying to get them up and running) the AC 1750 is in another league.Set up was a snap,it streams a stronger signal further than anything that I have had, and we have had 5 or 6 devices on the network at once without any problems. Great product !

We don't play online games, but we do stream HD video. Our speed is 125 mbit. I have 5 PCs on LAN and 2 Macs on WiFi, plus phones, TV's, I Pads, Chromebooks, and Denon Recievers. 14 devices total. I am 64 years old and built my own PCs. First one was a 286. WE have NO speed problems and this router never lets me down. I was considering a WRT so I could get VPN, but through my antivirus supplier got VPN without changing the router. Very happy. Yes I would recommend.

Easy to set-up and seamless integration into my Secure Wi-Fi a breeze. I especially like the Linksys Smart Wi-Fi App that allows me a great perspective into overall performance including a time history Down Load/Upload speed. This is a great product providing high speed W-fi throughout the household. My specific product is still too new to evaluate long term reliability.

This router no lagging, no searching and programs come up very fast. I am very satisfied the best money I've spent.

Once corrected, setup was a breeze.With my previous router, I didn't bother with the 5 GHz band. It didn't have enough range to give me reliable data transfer. The EA7300 fixed that!Sitting at my kitchen table with my iPad, I used to get 10-20 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band. Now, I routinely get 80-100 Mbps and on one occasion over 200 Mbps, of course, on 5 GHz.Wired data rates appear to have improved as well.My house is long and narrow so I had repeaters at each end. I removed the one near the front of the house and replaced the one at the back of the house with a Linksys repeater. I get wifi all the way to back of my 165 foot deep lot.

However, I saw little improvement in the speed over the old router. Although I have more computers than before, I seldom run more than two or three at a time. One of these computers is located about 25 feet away in another room and I find little or no improvement in the signal of the extended range of the new router.

I ordered a new Linksys Velop system and when that comes in this one will be reserved for backup use.I found it (EA7300) easy to configure the way I wanted and performance is better than the old unit it replaced (recently died)...connections are faster at the same distances, i.e. better range.

I had to connect my Belkin Wemo netcam directly to the router to make the first connection. It was OK wireless after that. Looking into a dual band network adapter for my laptop so I can connect using the 5GHz

The purchase of this router included a range extender which was also easy to set up. The Roku had no trouble finding the range extender and is working perfectly. I believe I am getting faster downloads and programs are starting quicker than they did using my smart Blu-ray connected to a cat 5 ethernet connection.

My overall speed is 20 to 30 % better.with 2 4k TV's and 14 other devices online I was very happy with the ability to set priorities and to split the WIFI traffic and manage both in house and guest usage.

Most of the time the advert on the box always says "easy" whatever, and seldom does it turn out that way, with this wifi...truth in advertising! How refreshing! The coverage for our house has been quite good as well. Very, very pleased!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Drop signals dailyI owned this router for 13 months and for the last 5 months it drops signals constantly and even when my TV is plugged into the port directly the router needs to be restarted hourly. Most frustrating and expensive router I have ever owned and I have only owned Linksys over 20 years. my last router was 40.00 and lasted 12 years. This one was 159.00 and lasted 7 months

Easy setup to get going but within a few hours noticed devices like iPhone/Ipad, Laptops freeze trying to get to Internet. Wait it out and connectivity restores. Thought I was upgrading but wish I had my Extreme back

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Connectivity Issue with MacBook ProThe last time I purchased a Linksys was, I think, in 2002, with my Etherfast Cable / DSL Router BEFSR41. Just purchased the EA7300 MAX-STREAM AC1750 and have had this for a week, as of this review. I do see a big difference in wireless performance, as I have it set up with 802.11ac. My iPhone and AppleTV seem to connect fine with it. However, my MacBook Pro (mid 2014, MacOS Capitan 10.11.6) keeps losing wireless Internet connectivity almost on a daily basis. The wireless signal is strong, but each day I can't reach the wireless router from my MacBook Pro. Packet loss is constant. I did not have this issue with my previous home network setup using a wireless Motorola SurfBoard cable modem / firewall. On that setup, I was using 802.11g and 802.11n; it did not support 802.11ac. I tried different 802.11 protocols and still have issues with internet connection on my Mac. The temporary "fix" is to reboot the Linksys EA7300, almost each and every day. The reboot of the EA7300 will keep my Mac connected until the next time I use my Mac. Neither rebooting my Mac nor resetting my wi-fi on my Mac solve the issue; only a EA7300 reboot. Weird.Initial setup for the EA7300 assumes a wireless connection. I could not access and configure the EA7300 until I had Internet connection established and a Linksys online account?!? What about setup with an ethernet cable connection without Internet connection?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Easy!!I followed the simple instructions for set up of this router and it was very easy. Set up was quick and it works great. I can have 3 devices going at the same time and all work effortlessly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent router for seamless streaming.I have to say I'm impressed with this router. I was using an AC1200 ae6100 router. This one is day and night over the AC1200. Excellent range and seamless streaming. Very easy setup.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it as far as parental controlsI bought this router to have control of my son's gaming remotely and on schedule. This router and the app deliver. Both remote on/off and schedules for each device work very well. I wish you could set the schedule per half hour vs hour but not a deal breaker. The router is fast and works better than spectrum's box.

I had a little trouble as I was not familier with the set up an had to call them. They talked me through it in a few minutes and it worked great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very impressiveGot this router from Linksys friends and family to evaluate. This router is really good. The setup took a little time but that was due to some back and forth with Windows 10 get to talk to router. Got Linksys smart wifi to find router and all was good. On Comcast blast got wifi speed of 70mbs and 40mbs on my Linksys range extender. I can say this router does and excellent job.
