I recently purchased the iphone X and couldn't decide on which case so I purchased all 3 of the newest cases. The Fre would have to be one of my favorites. I have used it for all my other iphones and haven't had many, if any issues with them. Definitely would recommend.

There still isn't a single scratch on it and only reason I upgraded is bc of the phone not working as well. One time I spilled an entire SODA on it and nothing happened. The case had some quirks at times and I contacted LifeProof and they replaced it no questions asked! I just ordered a new case for the iPhone X. Love it and glad I have a case. My only complaint is that I paid for 2 day shipping and it wasn't quite 2 day shipping. So just fyi ... Overall, the case is worth the expense to keep your phone safe (especially if you don't have insurance!!)

I'm very hard on my iPhone X and pay little respect to it, throwing it on my desk, dropping it multiple time, and general lack of care. I usually go through cases quickly, about one every two months. After a week or so, I often start to notice the scratches on the case, the dings and dents. So far I am not seeing any of those tell-tale signs of wear. I might be able to keep this case for a while. I think this was a good purchase. I like that it doesn't carry the bulk of the Otterbox Defender, which I am a fan of but its size is too much for my day to day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product minus a couple annoyances So far I have really enjoyed this case. Much slimmer than the otter box defender for the iPhone X and has a screen protector. My biggest annoyance would have to be the cover for the lighting port. When you have a charger plugged or dongle for headphones, the flap that covers the port dangles and hits your fingers as you are typing. I fixed this by placing a small piece of electric tape on the back of the flap, adding some resistance to the flap. This prevents it from hitting my fingers and I can still have a cable plugged. The other annoyance is the outside of the case. The otter box has more of a rubber feel that also adds a non-slip feature. My life proof slides around on most surfaces because the case is a smooth plastic. Other than that, great product.

Dropped the phone numerous times from considerable heights and for my surprise the case it’s unmarked. It dose protect the phone 100%, I am tempted to get the quick realise mount but not sure if my phone will charge on a wireless pad with it. I will send Lifeproof an email and ask them if I can have a bike mount for a review and I will go from there. There are some Oder cases out there similar to Lifeproof but I will be loyal to them, for the last 4 years I am using them and never disappointed

Love the cases, iPhone 8 Plus lives at the bottom of a lake in one for a day and still worked perfect when recovered. but just got new iPhone X and got new life proof case fre case is great. Screen protector makes awesome iPhone screen look grainy. Talked to tech support and they said not planning on making a nuud case for the ten. I think it would be a much better option for the iPhone X

I'm around the ocean a lot and don't want to have to worry about my phone getting wet or beat up. Yes the controls are just a little bit harder to manage but I will gladly make that sacrifice for the added durability. You get used to it.

They last forever and if something ever happens to it (breaks, etc) the awesome Lifeproof customer service team will work with you to replace it! I love that they still offer the Fre & Nuud. I personally love the Fre, I like the security of my phone being fully enclosed, while still having complete access. I’m always the first one to take pictures in/near water, while hiking and/or skiing! These cases rock!

Because they sold out so fast for the iPhone X I had to wait until they were more readily available. In the meantime I was using another case. The other case did not to the quality, provide the superior protection or compare to the slim design of the Fre. As soon as my case arrived and I put my phone in it and am completely happy with my decision to get another Fre!!!!

It doesn't lay flat so you can't charge it with a charging stand which is a bummer. Other than that I like the feel of it and it is light weight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can’t beat it! I’ve had Lifeproof FRE cases on my last 2 iPhones. I was so impressed that I bought one for my iPhone X. I had a iPhone 7 Plus and was doing some tractor work and it fell out of my pocket and got ran over by a mid size John Deere tractor with a hydraulic bucket on the front. To my amazement it pushed it flush in the ground and I thought it was toast but when I pryed it up the phone was fine and the case had a pretty good scratch in the clear cover on the front but was fine. I can’t speak highly enough about these cases. As expensive as phones are any more the Lifeproof cases are well worth the money.

It may be tuff to to click the buttons at first but you need to break it in. But when you break it the “screen protector” is very easy to scratch then if you have the earphones (that come with the Apple products now) in you can get a lot of dust and whatever else in your case so you have to take the case off then clean your phone. Al around good case not good quality as in.the screen protector should just get rid of it.

I had a Fre case on my previous iPhone 5s and it lasted much longer than it would have otherwise. This is the best case on the market and the only one I know of with a true built in screen protector. Definitely worth the money. I’m so confident that I even cancelled the insurance on my phone because I trust the case!

I know there's some issues with some of the frequently used tabs and latches, but you've never let me down by sending me a replacement for the cost of shipping. I'll be a loyal customer as long as you stand behind your product. I've dropped my phone from 8 feet onto concrete, it's gone in the river twice while fly fishing, and my dog has even fetched it a couple of times on command. It holds up and protects my investment.

Although I don’t purposely take my iPhone in the water, it is reassuring that if I drop it accidentally in a pond or the toilet even, I won’t have to buy a new phone! I trail run with my phone under all conditions including snow and mud. I also use my phone on the pool deck to shoot quick videos to capture stroke technique and to sync with my marlin gps for open water swims. I held off purchasing my iPhone X until I had a lifeproof case to protect it.

I’m always getting little particles inside of the screen protector and I try to clean it out and it’s like it was never cleaned out and the screen protector is very grainy. The screen protector ruins the Super Retina display. It does it’s other jobs, but its extremely disappointing.

And I could take pictures while Cycling without worrying if my phone will be damaged if I accidentally drop it. Have yet to bring it to the seas/pools to take pictures underwater.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid protection minus the bulk This is the third Lifeproof Fre case I have had for three different iPhones. I am always frustrated because it takes a while for Life Proof to come out with the new Fre cases when a new iPhone hits the market. So, I buy an OtterBox for the I nterim, and wait impatiently for the Life Proof Fre. I was concerned that there might be a problem with the Face ID not working properly with this case, but is a non-issue. It works flawlessly. I love knowing that not only is my screen protected, but so is my camera lens. Most cases do not have anything covering the glass lens of the camera, and I fear that I might drop it on something that will scratch the lens. I am glad this is taken care of with the Life Proof Fre. In the past, I have had to contact Life Proof for replacement cases when my case would develop a crack in the area where the ringer silencer button is. Yes, I know that this could happen again, but I also know that Life Proof has a very good warranty and they stand behind their product. When I had my very first Life Proof case, I got up against some rocks and scratched big gouges in the screen protector. Because this was not a defect in craftsmanship, I did not contact Life Proof, because I did not feel it was their responsibility to replace the case. I bought a new case, and there after, I have been purchasing the rubbery type screen protectors (Armor Suit case friendly) that are made to go on the glass, and I have been applying them right on top of the screen protector of my Life Proof case. If that rubbery type screen protector should somehow become gouged, I can always gently remove it and put a new one on, and my case is not harmed. I use the LIVEACTIVE clip on my case, and like the convenience of how it quickly and easily removes from the clip. The iPhone X has a glass back rather than metal, and I I am hoping my case will protect it as well as my previous phones, despite the glass. Are use the LIVACTIVE clips on my case.

The latest is my Fre for iphone X, and it is what I have come to expect. My only question is this rubber insert that is kind of a pain to get it to stay once I take the case off for cleaning. It has fallen off and gave up on trying to put it back in so I wonder how important it is to the structure of the phone case.

Water troughs ice or get dirty or overflow. Rat poison has to be distributed. Dogs mill about in the mud. Occasional gusts of gravity. The Life Proof! It is the only iPhone x case that can take it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Broken when arrived I typically brag about life proof in general I have always loved their cases I’m really hard on my phones and they’ve kept my phones in immaculate condition but I got the iPhone X and I tried the new case and that tore up in about one month all of the rubber on the outside has completely come off and now I can’t push the buttons on the outside because the plastic is covering it. so I ordered the fray which is supposed to be fully encased and waterproof. I understand that the iPhone X is waterproof but the case arrived with the silicone already torn up around the charge port. Life proof has always been good about fixing their problems but I don’t have time to wait for a new case so I’m quite frustrated that it came broken in the case. I mean I could look at it before I even opened it and I could see that the sealant is broken and it failed the waterproof test because of that. I would recommend that if you’re buying one you do not do it online do it in person and immediately go home and make sure that it works and it’s waterproof and if it’s not go straight back to the store otherwise you get stuck in my predicament where I’ve got two broken cases and I don’t know what to do with my phone

The case screen protector does make the screen slightly “grainy” but I can live with that. My case arrived without the cloth and the case key but luckily I used my ones from my iPhone 6. (I contacted customer care who said it’s in the box but might be hard to find it’s not in the box that’s for sure. Otherwise great case

The cases aren’t bulky! They are waterproof! Most importantly LifeProof stands behind their products! Having a problem give them a call. If you need a replacement give them a call their customer service and their warranty program is out standing.

I am on a ambulance and leaving it on the bench seat while all sorts of bodily substances hit it doesn't trip me out. A quick cavicide swipe and i'm good for the next one. Good Job Lifeproof. Never a scratch on the actual phone or any damage of any kind. The case looks like it’s been through alot but the phone is undamaged. So naturally I will buy another one. The fre case didnt come out till like a month after we bought the iPhone X. It finally came in. Fits like a glove. Great color and my wife loves it. I love it because I don’t have to worry about her breaking the phone. I love these cases.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Enginnering optimization One of the first set of users of this case and what I found is the $19 case I had got in the interim while I waited for the FRE seemed to be more optimally engineered/designed [except that it is not waterproof]. Not happy that I spent $90 for this and there are engineering design issues. Ideally I would like someone to call me and talk to me please. Here are the main issues with the FRE that I did not observe with the other case - some of these might be pretty subtle but this is a premium case - and in fact the most expensive on the market and touting top engineering form and fit...: 1. the raised edge around the camera is higher than the edge around the case, there by when you lay it flat on a flat surface it actually wobbles - basically it feels like the case is bent 2. the screen protector does not seem to be uniformly flush to the glass surface - responsiveness of the screen touch seems to vary (at least on my case) on the top right vs. the rest of the screen 3. when I get vibration alerts instead of it sound like the phone and the case are one unit, it almost sounds like the phone is vibrating within the case, and that is not a pleasant experience - sounds almost like something was not designed right. Anyway these are my takes. Based on this I would not necessarily recommend this except again this is the only waterproof case! Expected more from LifeProof. Not happy.

Their durability is unreal and as a fisherman and boater the waterproof case is awesome. Only down side was they are so tight that people have complimented they can’t hear me.. put in water clean up problem solved!! Great case!!!

I purchased Apple's high end protection and am sorry I spent the money. As soon as the Lifeproof cases were accepting preorders, I put my order on the books. I am ecstatic that I have my Lifeproof FRE and regret the time and money I wasted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice case. Very slick. The case is nice and has a tight fit. I wish it had a rubberized coating as it is very slippery to try an hold. The plastic screen protector is already starting to show wear after only a few weeks and has an oil slick rainbow look where the screen is touched the most. All in all I probably won't buy this model again but I do like that it has water protection. Assuming the above cons don't bother you I would recommend.

Unfortunately, the rope cut out has a thin black line that interferes with the sensor that causes the screen on my phone to go completely black and renders my phone useless! No buttons can be seen/used and must be forced to shut down to recover my screen! I had to drive over an hour one way to the Apple store, thinking my phone was defective-just to learn it’s the case! A very expensive ($100) case that renders my phone unusable! Very disappointed! Looking for a replacemnt cover and out $100!

Makes it very difficult to swipe up from the bottom or to do the small swipe at the bottom to bring the Severn down for one handed use. Contacted customer support and no response after 4 days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lifeproof does it again, highly recommend In reviewing many articles about iPhone X cases, it really came down to the OtterBox Pursuit with alpha glass for maximum protection from drops or Lifeproof for increased waterproofing and drop protection. The life proof case was not available quite as early, so I tried the OtterBox case. I was very disappointed by the boxy feel and the on/off switch from vibrate-to-sound never worked. Out of the box, the Lifeproof case was a better fit, slimmer without skimping on drop protection. The buttons and switches all work well, the touch screen is responsive, and I’ve personally tested wireless charging on the Mophie and Belkin chargers sold in the Apple Store—no problems with charging in the case. It’s only been about a week, but based on past experience, I expect the case to protect my phone for some time.

I put the case in a bucket of water, weighted it down, waited thirty minutes, dried it very well; then snapped it open. Not one drop of water inside! Test success!!! Love it

LifeProof was SUPER helpful, although Fedex (the shipper refused to expedite the shipping for the new case LifeProof switched it to 2 day shipping FREE! Talk about customer service! On the end of the case, I like it a lot. The lack of rubber on the edges is nice it always wore fast on the 6 cases. I do not however like the plastic front.. it sits tight to the screen but getting the phone in the case without debris was difficult and the case didn’t come with a microfiber cloth to clean out the case and wipe down the phone. OTHER than that case is great, for minimal dust under the screen protector upon putting phone in I suggest adding a microfiber cleaning cloth to the package!

The screen protector is something that I really wanted from a case. The color combination is pleasing to the eye with the light blue color and just a touch of pink in between where the pieces fit together. With a 5 yr old that likes to confiscate my phone when I'm not paying attention, I don't have to worry about him spilling his juice on it. If you haven't tried them, what are you waiting for? You will love the new case.

I have scratched a corner trying to open it before I found the instructions with explanation to use a coin. Would be better to have the tool as shown because they suggest to open it every 3 months. So far there is only my problem. All the rest looks great. I got it just 3 days ago And price wise I paid online $150cad but in Bestbuy store it’s $89.99cad. This is sad! I didn’t want to wait 2-3 more weeks

Will probably destroy this one in less than 6 months because that’s the normal life out of it. The cheap plastic makes my screen look grainy. Not worth spending $90 on at all. Before buying this case I bought a cheap $4 case and a glass screen protector for $1. Better quality than this case. Just not water and dust proof, which of past experience says anything dust proof this is not.

While waiting for it I put it in a cheap one just to keep it safe until the Lifeproof came in. What a difference. The cheap one was thicker but infinitely cheaper made and I had no confidence it was protected. I was an Otterbox fan, but it’s Lifeproof from here out!

The first is the Button for silencing the phone. As soon as I put the case on (after the water test I tested the button but the piece tore just slightly I realized I have long nails which dig into the material of the case causing it to tear. But since it’s still working fine and no water can still get in I kept it. The second issue is that the charger port area is a accumulating debris and it goes underneath the built in screen protector. So every few days to a week, I have to remove the case clean the debris and put it back on.. The third and last issue is the screen protector sticks to my screen in certain areas and does not in others this causes the case to press buttons on my screen unintentionally and randomly.. Aside from this I do enjoy my case i love the style, the color, and the strength of the case overall.. will buy again but not this specific case.

When it arrived the outside package was split in have like something was thrown on top of it. Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2 cases FAILED water test 2x, grainy screen -This is my first Lifeproof case, and I spent $95 to make sure my new iPhone X would be protected. I am a swimmer and I go snorkeling and skiing a few times a year. I wanted a good case and all my friends have Lifeproofs on their (earlier versions- 6/6s/7/7s) iPhones. When the first case arrived, I *very carefully* performed the water test. It failed the test because I noticed very little droplets of water had made their way into the case, in both the crevices on the side and in the middle where the apple logo goes. I was convinced I had done something wrong, so I performed the water test again, making sure all edges were sealed completely shut. Water leaked in again. I called lifeproof customer care. I had good and quick customer service and they agreed to send me a warranty replacement. I figured I would use the current case while I waited for the replacement, and the screen was horrifically grainy, and it looked like I had rubbed in oil into the screen, but I had cleaned the screen with a brand new microfiber cloth. The screen protector is TERRIBLE. It gives the $1000 phone such a cheap, dirty, and worn out look. -About 1 week later (today): the warranty replacement came in the mail. This replacement case is not in the original packaging, rather just the case in a thin plastic bag inside the hard brown paper bag the cases are sent in. It could easily have been damaged in the mail. Regardless, I perform the water test, and again, it fails. I do the water test one more time, and I have no expectations at this point, and just as I expected, it fails again. There are little water droplets in the charger port and inside the case, more water than the first case. I try on the case to see if the screen on this one is also grainy and gross, and it was. I was willing to deal with a blurry and grainy screen if the case was waterproof and protecting, but it's not. -I just called lifeproof customer care again and they are going to send me a third case. I don't want to go through this hassle again. I had such high hopes for this case on my phone, but so far I've only been disappointed. I have used otterboxes with tempered glass screen protectors on my phones before this one. I need a waterproof and sturdy case on my phone. Other than Lifeproof, I don't know where to turn. I will add another review if, for some reason, the third case is also trash. I hope no one else experiences this for the price, but until a company advertising a waterproof phone case actually sends me a waterproof phone case worth $100, this is a 1 star quality product.

I will never own a phone without putting it in a lifeproof case. This would be a five star review but I've had a couple issues with the case - the rubber seal around the inside edge won't stay in the slot, so I keep getting dust inside the case. The great thing about that is the warranty - I will order a replacement. Thank you for making such a wonderful product!!

This case had me at the fact it protected the phone 100% without being too thick or bulky. The conpany (lifeproof) i believe is still located here in san diego which is a big plus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfection. Perfect form and fit. Slim design which totally protects iPhone X from scratches, drops and water proofing; keeping out sand and water. While the X is rated as water resistant, it is not waterproof. I have had an iPhone’s screen totally destroyed with just a drop of water that managed to get into a vulnerable spot. At the time I was using a different makers case. Since that day I have been using Lifeproof cases for all my iPhones for years without a problem. Perfect for a soldier in the field or a lawyer in court. Slim, stylish and very protective of an expensive piece of communications gear. Case allows for wireless charging. Real lens covers have superior clarity so as to not degrade the quality of the photos while protecting the camera lenses. Sound is also enhanced due to design of case. My only complaint is the lack of proper belt clip holsters available for purchase as they once were. Current options rely on an adhesive block which locks to belt clip exposing face of phone outwards (enabling scratches and damage). Lifeproof use to offer verticle cradles with the face of the phone facing inwards, two support cradles on the bottom and a spring loaded latch at the top of the belt clip. It even came with two belt sized clips to go with the holster. Very secure, hugged body and made for quick and easy access of phone in Lifeproof case.

This case is my phones’ “insurance policy”- preventing it from all types of damage. It’s the most durable and thinnest case I’ve ever owned!

One problem that I am having is that all of the side buttons are stiff inside the case and I have a problem shutting down the phone by pushing a side button on either side of the phone simultaneously. Other than that, I am happy with the case and feel confident that it will fully protect my phone without being too bulky. Pretty hefty price for a phone case, but the phone was expensive so worth protecting.

This case i just received is having issues because the gasket between the two pieces keeps coming out and making it extremely difficult to put the case on. I have never had this issue before but it is making this case very difficult to use

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it I love this case... not only is it nice with the two colors but I know my phone is protected all the way... when you spend a thousand dollars on a phone then you need the best of the best protection which is “LIFEPROOF” I had the $80 one before this and I lost count on how many times I dropped the phone but the case took such a beating but my phone was just like new when I took the case off to switch it out for this one. I know now that I am protected even against water and as a mom to a tiny person it’s a piece of mind knowing that my phone will be just fine.... Thank you for your products and cool colors to choose from... I will definitely be getting one for my boyfriend for Christmas

The Lifeproof started disintegrating within days of putting it on. A plastic piece fell off the camera area and the rubber is starting to tear around the edges and I haven’t owned this a month. I think I need a protection device for the Lifeproof. Wouldn’t purchase it again.

Things I like... 1 water-tight 2) sleek, trim design 3) better sound than my previous Lifeproof case Things I don't care for: 1) the case does cover a very small part of the screen edge. Usually not a factor, but in reading a document that flowed text all the way to the edge of the screen, noticed this 2) near the edge of the screen, touch sensitivity was weak. Have to push harder on the screen to input. 3) buttons on the sides work well, but require additional force to activate. If you have small hands, this may be a little more difficult than pushing the buttons without the case. 4) I was spoiled by the grip on my temporary * Speck case. The Lifeproof case is somewhat slicker, but not too bad. I would definitely recommend this case to active people. Just know there are some minor tradeoffs the ruggedness introduces.

First off I have to say that I’ve been a life proof customer for like 4 or 5 yrs now...so when Apple released the iPhone X I had to purchase a new case...the Fré is a strong case...typical life proof quality... the only thing I hate about my Fire Fré is after one day of carrying around the case it had discoloration...after having the case for 3 weeks now the front is a dark Red and the back looks like a reddish orange. I strongly suggest going with the Black case if your considering our purchasing a Fré for your iPhone X

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm hard on phones - both on land and on water. Having had the case for a week now, and being familiar with other type cases, this one works for me. I spend a lot of time on my boat and this gives me that basic piece of mind that some salt spray or rain (of forbid a dunking) will not have a disastrous effect. My only frustration is that I use a dresser top charger that you just plug the phone into vertically into the stand. This won't reach the connecting piece with the thickness of the case. I would by that type of charger stand from you if you offered it. In summary, the case is great for my needs. In fact I ordered another one for my wife's Iphone X.

With the case on, I have to push much harder than normal for my touches to be registered. Also, something about it messes with the proximity sensor, causing the screen to turn off when I activate Siri or when I’m on the phone, even if it’s not up to my ear.

The other person on the phone can’t really understand you and you really can’t understand them. How ever when I had a fre power case with the battery pack. The back of the case what more rigid and helped out a ton with the speaker phone problem. I wish they would come out with a more rigid back piece.

I had an iPhone 6+ with a Free case and loved it, I was looking forward to have similar protection for the X. Right from the beginning the love affair I had with my previous case was different. The fit is perfect and the phone is sealed and protected in there, good. The screen is clear and the camera works great, and that’s it. The sound is bad, the speakers are bad and the touch screen commands will drive you nuts. It just doesn’t respond at all st times, leaving me screaming st the phone when I’ve been waiting for a call all day just to miss it because the screen will not respond to touch command. I called customer service and they are sending me a new case, not sure how that’s going to help! I would not buy a free case

This happened in a January a few years ago when there was over 2 feet of snow. Just as I was getting ready to bite the bullet and purchase a new phone my Sheepadoodle Lucy, came into the house and dropped the phone on the floor in front of me. The case was cold, wet and chewed a little bit but the phone was in perfect condition! I just purchased a new phone and of course, another Lifeproof case.

The side buttons either do not work at all or the mute button is on without intention. Most disconcerting is the poor sound quality and difficulty of keyboard access to letters at the edge of the screen. I have removed the case and hope to return it for full credit.

I was anxious to get it and have the extra protection Lifeproof is known for and I haven’t been disappointed. I have dropped my phone several times and absolutely no problems. Great protection and much lighter, slimmer than Otterbox Defender which I previously used on the farm for it’s ruggedness. The Lifeproof is far superior. Only complaint is I seem to get some dust particles under the screen cover. I had hoped that wouldn’t happen. Therefore the 4 star vs 5 star rating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good waterproof case with some short comings Took this case on holiday with me knowing full well I’d be swimming, snorkelling and kayaking with my phone and needed some added waterproof protection. Pros Good all round protection with an easy access lightning port cover. Waterproof. Screen protector didn’t reduce brightness or clarity - some increased reflections in bright sun though. Not too bulky - I like to use my iPhone X either without a case or just the Apple leather case. Sound and camera worked perfectly. Faceid and touch screen worked perfectly, the latter loses a bit on sensitivity but nothing you don’t get used to. Cons Buttons are hard to press and the toggle switch was nigh on impossible to use no matter how hard I tried to readjust or flip the switch - potentially an issue with my case?! Case is easy to get on but needs a coin or blunt tool to remove - I wouldn’t want to swap this case out on a daily basis as I’d be afraid that it would damage the seals at some point. The apple logo cutout on the rear - what’s the point aside vanity - another area that could cause water ingress. Now the worst part of the case is the screen protector - I’m very careful with my phone and don’t use a protector on a daily basis, but after 2 weeks using the Fre case the screen protector is so scratched up that it is barely useable. This is a real shame as I’d like to use the case on future trips but afraid it will just get worse to the point that I’ll need to take it off between uses where I need that added protection. A real shame the case is let down by a very easily scratched screen protector and expected more from a £70 case. I’d recommend the case but be aware that the screen protector might only last a few months of regular wear and tear before it is too scratched to use. 5/5 waterproof-ness 4/5 screen clarity 3/5 ease of use: buttons 4/5 durability (phone protection) 1/5 durability (screen protector)

This case plus the glass shield makes it a little tougher to use sometimes so turn your sensitivity up. That is no fault to the case though, as it has its own screen protector built in.

The case also seems to trap in heat and then half my buttons won't work where the case is warm from my hand. The screen part doesn't seem to fit snug, which could be the problem. I have tried putting the glass piece over my screen to make the cover tighter, but that didn't seem to offer any help either.

I am also an endurance athlete that has to stay tethered to my phone for work. I have had the FRE for the iPhone for about 2 weeks now. I had a cheep rubber case with no screen protection for 2 weeks until this arrived. Face Recognition - It works the same as having no case installed. Side Buttons - The volume has a distinctive 'click' , vol up/down is firm but responsive. Screen Protector- Responsive and accurate, however, the edges sometimes may not track correctly. Latch at bottom of phone - (for power) very firm and easy to open - nice Sound- The sound is still very good and doesn't seem to be degraded, maybe better Microphone- No complaints from people after 2 weeks with the case Photos- I have not thoroughly tested the quality, but I have no complaints. Case-Hard plastic on bottom with softer rubber on the top. Pros ==== - a case with a good reputation of protection - I don't worry about this expensive investment getting damaged -The soft upper is good to help grip the phone Cons ===== -the phone is more bulky on the edges now. I feel like I'm carrying a tablet in my work slacks now. -speaker ports at the bottom tend to collect lent and need to be cleaned often Final thoughts: =========== I have owned about 7 cases over the last 5 years. The FRE model only seems to last 1 year. The soft upper rubber eventually gets tacky and falls apart after 1 year. -The water proof seems to fail consistently after 1 year and then only becomes good at drop protection, not water proof. Overall this is a good solid case for about a year. I do recommend them, however, I DO NOT recommend any of the belt clips and windshield mounts for the case. See my other reviews there. The support team is polite and nice every time I have called. I do wish they would change the process on the website for contacting support. Its not good. After you fill out the form and submit that, a page comes up and says call us if you don't hear from us. That is unacceptable.

The only issue I have with this case (which I feel is a big issue on such an expensive phone) is how easily the built in screen protector scratches just from going in and out of my pocket. At this rate after only a week I don't think I'll be able to use it after a month and not be annoyed by all the scratches I have to overlook to see my screen.

Therefore it is a must, to protect my iPhones with Tour products. My newest iPhone X should Aldi have tre best, so I bought a FRÉ cover and I love it. I even ude it on my motorbane. It indeed protects the phone very well. I do not use it day to day because it's a little bulky and the phone feels more natural with a smaller case. I wish Lifeproof would make a Nuud case for the iPhone X, as I prefer being able to touch the actual screen.

As a professional pilot, I'm exposed to lots of different environments and the LifeProof case is the only way to go! I am very happy with the case for my iPhone X. When I first got it, I noticed a couple of small scratches on the inside of the screen protector, but they aren't noticeable once it's on. I do wish that the gray color had been little darker... more like the iPhone 7 gray.

I run, mountain bike and do lots of yard work outside. The cases get wet, sweaty, and ultimately banged up but they have always protected the phone and still looked well enough to wear with my work suit via the belt clip.

My only complaint is that I wish they were available immediately when the iPhone comes out with each new model. But I understand the process and why it is that way. These cases are the only ones I trust around water and believe me they work. I only trust LifeProof to protect my iPhone. And their warranty is second to none! I have had replacements sent when I have had a question of integrity to a case. They sent me a new one immediately! Great company and great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Proximity Sensor Fail I am disappointed in the new Lifeproof Fre for the iPhone X. It’s definitely waterproof and because I surf 4-5 hours s day, that’s huge for me. I need it on my phone 24-7 because I’m aways forgetting to take my phone out of my board shorts before I get in the water! Unfortunately the case disrupts the proximity sensor and you lose all ability to access your phone while on a call. The screen literally goes black. It is very frustrating. As soon as I removed my phone from the Lifeproof case...everything was back to normal. I tried to contact Lifeproof by email and never got a response. $100 down the drain!

The phone went flying into street landing up against a curb. It was about 105 degrees out. The battery alone should have melted, not to mention the damage that would have happened to the phone if I didn’t have a life proof case on it ! Life proof saved my phone with no damage at all !

My new iPhone X defiantly feels protected but at the same time still looks smart. However my negative point (& reason for 3 stars has to be the sensitivity of the screen. I have already had 2 phone calls where iv not been able to hang up as the screen would not sense my finger. The top left & right corners seem to be the worst & I have to press more than normal for the phone to feel my finger. I have removed the phone numerous times & cleaned with no improvement. I have not reported this to Lifeproof as I can get by however for £65 this is something I would not expect. If it was not for the screen protectors lack of sensitivity I would defiantly rate this item 5/5. Tom

I really like this case for the protection it provides. I own a trucking service and use my phone to pretty much run my business. My phone gets dropped or falls, over and over and this case protects it very well. The down side with my new case for my IPhone X is the sound is all distorted when I play music or videos. Very much a bummer. I’m not sure if I would recommend it now.

No worries though as it survived my stupidity that day! Then, I broke the case by the on/ off button. I called the company and they said, no problem we will send you a new one! I was astounded! They actually believed me and didn’t even want me to return my broken case! That was the day I became a customer for life! But, again I screwed up and gave the company the wrong info on my phone and the case I received did not fit. I called the company and explained the problem. I even offered to buy the next case. But you know what they did? They told me to give the incorrect case to a friend and shipped me a second case for free!!! I will never buy any other case! A definite customer for life!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 by from Poor fitting case I’ve had this case on my iPhone X for a few days now and it doesn’t fit as well as the last case I had for my 6s plus. The plastic that covers the screen doesn’t tightly fit over the front of the phone especially at the bottom where you have to swipe up, so there’s a noticeable gap between the screen and the protection which forces you to have to push down harder and takes two or three tries to get it to work. Also when using the touch screen every time you go to tap on it when typing you notice that the cover is slightly raised and not tightly snug against the screen.

I am not very happy about this case, the case itself is great and it is an awesome case BUT, it is not “dirt” proof..... they may claim it to be but dirt and dust are two different things. I tested the case and it is waterproof but the only reason I bought it is because I work on farms with tons of dust and dirt daily. The first day my screen was completely clean.. it looked amazing. A week later I have so many dust particles under my screen it is unbelievable. Crazy thing is I wireless charge so it’s never even been opened from charging ports!!!! You know that dust and small dirt particles can scratch your screen very easily VERY. So now I have a bunch of trapped particles shredding my brand new iPhone X 1200$ screen. In my opinion they should not list this as dirt proof because technically it is “dirt proof” but it is not “dust proof” or little tinnyyyy dirt particles proof

It’s a pretty good case... but when I dropped my phone to show my friends how well it protects, my screen protector (I’ve had it since I bought the phone) cracked. I didn’t notice the crack until an hour later. Oh well. I ordered a new one fro, life proof. The reason for the 4 stars is because I don’t like the built in screen protector on the case. It forces me to push harder for typing, and sometimes doesn’t accurately do what I intend. I understand the reason for it: to protect from water.

Case itself is awesome, I only use lifeproof. However I wish there were more color options or that lifeproof had a customizible option. I checked the box, no instructions or pictures. I ended up getting it own and broke the lightning port cover off in the process. It’s a really nice case and I’m using it with a hole in it as it’s still better than my old otter box. I just wish it was easier to open.

I opened my package to find the front teal lip is dirty like a yellow brown color. The inner seal will not stay. It was much harder to snap shut then other life proofs before. It looks like the rubber edging is already coming away from the screen and there is rubber already peeling at the bottom. Because of the seal the case will not properly shut I feel like. These are things I expect after some wear and tear, not straight out of the box..

Removed the phone and reinstalled and bubbles would not go away. On a positive note, the case did pass the 30 minute water test. I suspect I received a bad apple here and will be returning the Fre case today. I was really hoping to have a good waterproof case for my trip to New Zealand and very disappointed with the Fre case I received.

Tried the method mentioned on life proof, thin layer of powder but that made the screen kind of not responsive or more like things I didn’t want opened open and vice versa. Even put a Matt screen guard. It didn’t work. I was very excited but now disappointed.

The FRE design fits the phone perfectly and it comes will all the protections that Lifeproof cases have to offer. My one complaint is perhaps use a clearer material for the screen protector because the case dulls the OLED screen dramatically (one of the best features of the iPhone X).

Seems to be an improvement on reducing the echo and people can hear me on speaker phone now. It could be the new phone (iPhone X or improvements in case design but it’s better than with my iPhone 6 Plus fre case. Only downside is the screen looks a little distorted with the cover on it. Not really bad but like it has an oil on it. I’ve cleaned it like crazy but it’s just how the screen cover looks on the iPhone X screen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Slippery and screen interface is not very good I'm frustrated. I got this case because I ruined my old phone after kneeling in water with an unprotected iphone X. My understanding was that it was more significantly water resistant than it was (poor advertising). I got this so I would have waterproof capability, however everything that I love about he iphone (user interface with the screen) has been compromised. The screen interface is poor. The gap that is produced interfered with the touch interface (especially at the corners) and I have a hard time making commands happen. (It's getting better as I get used to the screen, but I DON'T LIKE IT). Not sure I will continue to use this protector because it's so frustrating that I don't enjoy the interface as much. Also, the case is very slippery. Slides around on a table top too easily and is slippery in my hands. Good thing there is protection to the phone when it is dropped. I have dropped my phone more times since I put on this case that I have previously with my old case. I don't want to recommend this case, but unfortunately, it is probably the best waterproof option out there, currently. What needs to be developed is this style of case (waterproof) but with an adhesive Glass HD screen to make the interface to the user seamless. If this product cost $200, I would purchase it. It is important enough to have proper user interface. (Just ask Steve Jobs)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for work And travel I have used lifeproof fre for years to protect my phones. Although I did seem to Have a muffled sound issues with my iPhone 7 case. This doesn’t seem to be happening with the new iPhone X, nor did it happen on previous cases. I work construction so they get put through a lot. I have dropped my phone off a three-story roof, and It survived. I have Recorded underwater footage swimming with sharks and manta rays in Hawaii, kept it with me in Hot Springs in China. I Unintentionally ran it through the wash machine a few times.. These cases are bomb.. the thinnest I have found with this type of protection. Highly recommend

I’m OCD about my screens and this one came with a small scratch. Annoying but that was the only issue. If LifeProof replaces it I’ll update my post.

The case is designed so well, the plastic is very durable and makes the phone feel smaller, sleeker, goes into pockets better and stays sturdy on any surface. The only issue is fit, the first case sent to me didn't snap fully on the bottom right, making it not fully waterproof and also giving me audio issues on speakerphone, and I've had this issue before with the iPhone 6. Luckily Lifeproof has awesome customer service and they remedied the issue. The colors on this case are awesome too, I can tell it will wear very well.

The purchase before this one I opted for the version without total screen protection and was not as pleased with the water issues, so I went back to the full protection. I remembered why I went away. This may only be my experience, but with the Iphone X, some of the screen features do not operate correctly. When I remove the cover the phone operates very smoothly. Therefore, I am kinda let down again. I will use it for my underwater pictures, but was hoping to be able to leave it on all the time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quick review I bought this a month ago and it’s alright, it’s a pretty case and everything but my case didn’t come with a case key to remove it when needed and dust particles get inside my case somehow which doesn’t make sense because it is supposed to be waterproof so nothing should get inside the case. Also I don’t like how I had to take off my screen protector to use this case because it wouldn’t fit unless I did which I didn’t like. But overall it’s an alright case, not worth 90 bucks though

It was easy to put the phone in. I tested it just like I was told didn't see any water in the case. I have had phone in it now like I said for about two weeks and have dropped it two times and not issues. Have not gotten it wet yet but I know it will be just fine. Hope to see some type of belt clip or holder for it soon.

However if something should happen with your phone they have a fantastic warranty and great customer service. With the iPhone X having been wrapped in glass and notoriously you will drop your case this fully enclosed case is a must at least for me. I’m not fond of shattered or cracked screens and at $300 a pop just, no thanks. I actually waited to get the iPhone X until I could get the “fre” case. I just got it this week, so far so good. My only caveat is that the tab that goes over the charging port although a solid closer the hinder is flimsy in my opinion not sure it will stand up for long, we’ll see.

The water proof has always worked good tho and the sounds comes threw pretty clear. I love the low profile design and they are always as tough as nails! So all in all I give it an A! I’ve never had an iPhone that hasn’t been in a LifeProof case , in fact I left my new phone in the box sealed, until my case arrived !! Being around horses , I’ve had phones dropped in water troughs, dropped from a riders height, general dropped on concrete. You name it I’ve done it. Not once have I had a case break, or not perform as expected. They are worth every single penny and do EXACTLY what is on the tin !! Wouldn’t be without one .. simples !!

Since getting an I phone x and being left with only the standard Fre case not as pleased with the rough surface and pointless rear window the case itself is as great practically however but feel a better finish could be done as with my last.

As soon as I moved my phone into the life proof case it was as if I’ve got a new phone absolutely crystal clear, touch screen amazing, dust port with hinge really well made and split water on it and all good still looks like new. It’s definitely worth the money and I’ve recommended to my friends and family. WELL DONE LIFEPROOF

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Did Not Live Up to the Expectations I bought a lifeproof case because a few people I knew had it for prior versions of the iPhone and loved it! However, I quickly regretted my decision. The case muffled all sound making it extremely difficult to hear someone when having a conversation, the plastic screen covering turns everything into a pixelated mess, and the light color of the case mixed with the fact that it’s rubber means your case will be dirty in a matter of days simply because you slide it in and out of your pocket. I would 100% not recommend this case to anyone. The only reason I gave it more than one star is because it did protect my phone from drops. With that said, unless you’re frequenting the beach and need that extra bit of water protection go with a better case with more drop protection and less issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from pretty good bought this n had it for about a week or two. first thing i noticed, since i ordered the red and gray, the reds are two different shades of red. the back is more of an orange/red than a red. second thing I've noticed is that the back is also really flimsy! i almost bent it in half just trying to pull the case apart.i might just be so used to the thicker back from the Fre' power that i had on my 6S. i also noticed that the sound dampened a bit and the screen was dulled a bit also but that was expected being a fully water resistant case. the only thing that made as huge impact on my thoughts about this case is that during a call i almost have to yell for the other person to hear me, and for that, i took away two stars. in my 3-4 years of owning lifeproof cases and having to make many warranty claims, this case does seem to be stronger than the rest but time will tell. hopefully i wont need a new one after six months and even though the iPhone X is already water resistant up to six feet, i would still trust lifeproof cases in a heartbeat to protect my phone.

This case fits the X extremely well, easy on and off and very slim . . .not much extra bulk. Why i withheld a star: I seem to have an occasional issue with getting the edges of the screen to respond to touch since it's covered completely. Mainly swipping upwards as you often have to do on the X. My biggest issue is the cost. I think the price is ridiculous. Sure the "value proposition" is there but that doesn't mean charge exorbitant amounts of money for a piece of plastic, seems to be what every iPhone accessory maker does.

I have dropped my cells in the lake, the oven (while taking a pizza out), and endless times on concrete/other hard surfaces. Lifeproof has not failed me. There is no need to pay for insurance if you have your device properly secured in a Lifeproof case. The only negative comment I can make is that playing music was somewhat distorted on the 6s case. I am very impressed with the FRE for iPhone X, music comes in loud and clear. Good Job Lifeproof!

I drop the phone in the water and survive. But the only think that can be an improvement for the next model is that: The back part of the case is not adherent to my hand or to any surface is to soft/smooth and not grip at all; so if I want to leave the phone on rocks or on a inclined surface he can’t hold the post iron and fall into the floor. So I’m always taking time an attention to don’t slice the phone that is the reason why I chosed lifeproof but is not doing all my expectations.

My main complaints are that the screen protector distorts the clarity of the oled display, the best I can describe it is that it looks very pixilated and not clear. Also the charging port when open allows dust and dirt to enter the case and there’s always something under the screen protector and I have to open up the case all the time to keep it clean, which I think over time may affect the integrity of the case. Otherwise I have been using Lifeproof cases ever since they came out, and have never broken or damaged an iPhone, so I like the protection it offers and for that fact i will continue to use them.

There is nothing that I can do to my phone that will harm it as long as the life proof case is on. My husband broke and drowned a few phones so I got him a life proof- problem solved. I recently purchased an iPhone 8 for my husband and an X for me. I got cases for both. The only glitch I have noticed over the years is that the cases are made a little cheaper. The side buttons are very difficult to use. I have noticed some improvement- but they have never come up to the quality of the first lifeproof cases that were made. My husband is thrilled with his case. I know I will eventually use my case for the iPhone X but for now I am enjoying the beauty of the phone with a simpler leather case- I just really am not ready to fight with those side buttons. But I know lifeproof is the best possible protection. Great product.

First it is so small finding something to attach the slot is very hard. Second when you have a lanyard attached to the slot and it takes a fall the case has the ability to flex open slightly. Thankfully the iPhone X is already water resistant and no harm was done but it reduced the usefulness of the case for me. A small additional complaint is once the glass covering the lense in front of the rear camera gets wet it is near impossible to get a good picture. It’s a shame the glass doesn’t have some sort of rain-X Like treatment that makes the water bead off so the camera is actually useful when wet.

My only dislike is I wish it could have been designed to NOT cover the edges of the screen, that part can be annoying because part of the keyboard is very hard to use. I hope you improve the design & still keep it waterproof.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It has been perfected! Finally the case has been proven to pass the sound test. Waterproof wise always passed in all series of iPhone cases I have had. Sound is perfect people can hear me with the case on as previous iPhone 6s Plus case they had difficulty hearing me. Now with the iPhone X version case I am very happy no more troubles with sound quality. Only price I paid more to get the color I wanted because stores didn’t carry them, so I had to order directly from Lifeproof. Over all I am extremely happy thank you.

I recently upgraded to the IPhone X and I have always used lifeproof cases on all my IPhones. I love the slim and waterproof features of the Fre’ cases. But I’m having some issues with my new Fre’case for my IPhone X. I’m constantly getting foreign objects inside of the case. I have fully inspected the case and on one corner it does not fully seat.

Nothing has really changed from past FRe cases other than style to accommodate phone. All functions work, can hear & others hear you with No issues, volume rockers work fine. Being wireless I haven’t needed to open charging port door- no issues charging. Only cons...pricey $90!! And a bigger window in rear or a All solid clear back would be nice to show off phone more..

I received my case through mail a few days ago and glad I did!! I dropped my phone on rocks yesterday, and not a scratch on the case. Very pleased. More orange than red, but it’s cool bc there’s a red border which makes it look red from the front.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Screen on Iphone X not clear after lifeproof Fre` The Lifeproof Fre case arrived with a lot of dust particles on the inside of the screen and was difficult to clean before installation. The case definitely reduces the clarity of the screen considerably, even making the screen image look fuzzy, which makes it difficult to look at if there is a white background. We ordered two Fre cases, and i tried both on my phone and had the same distorted screen result. This is the 4th Iphone that i have had a Fre case on, and all of the other cases did not distort the screen image to the extent that the one on the iPhone X does. It may be better to buy a screen less case, if you need to see clarity of detail.

This year, I picked one up for my iPhone X and second for my wife’s X. Happy to report that although the colors are lacking, the cases themselves are great. I haven’t had any issues fitting aftermarket power cables and everyone can hear me when I talk and I can hear them. The screen cover looks a bit grainy, but it really doesn’t bother me. If you’re on the fence for the price, I understand, but it’s really the best case out there and does the job well.

This was not my first lifeproof case so I trusted them. I ordered the case and when it arrived, as soon as I took it out of the box, I noticed that there was a scratch on the screen protector. I rubbed my finger across it and could feel a divot in the screen. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. I called Lifeproof immediately and spoke with customer service. They were the best! They arranged for a new case to come to me at no charge and with expedited shipping. When I offered to ship back, the CS rep said there would be no need and to use if I wanted, but be cautioned that it may not be waterproof. I did water test the original case and did notice some water droplets inside, but applied case. I did not intend to take phone near water. I did drop phone once, but thanks to the case, the phone remained unharmed. My new case arrived in a few days, passed the water test, and is working great. My only complaint is that no matter how much I clean the inside of the screen protector and my phone, there continues to be what looks like a film or soap under the screen, which is quite annoying. However, I'll take a little annoying visual imperfection to make sure my phone is totally safe.

My one surprise is that, once mounted on the iPhone, this one seemed slightly heaver than I expected. It also seems very solid and like it will do a good job of protecting my iPhone X. I have only had the case for about a week now. There have been no drops so far so I can not say anything about that, but it does work well with a wireless charger and a third party belt clip that I also purchased. Finger prints on screens bother me. Just like my previous Lifeproof Fre case (for an iPhone 7+) this one started developing two areas next to the buttons on both sides of the front screen. Using water and lots of elbow grease I was able to mostly clean the screen, but now I have a larger area in the center of the screen that has a rainbow moire pattern. When the iPhone screen is lit the pattern is not visible.

Every time I plug in my headphones, dust gets through that little space and gunks up the phone screen. I’ve probably had to address the problem so many times that the case isn’t waterproof anymore. Long term fix if you like to keep your phone clean, BUY WIRELESS HEADPHONES

The case overall looks good, but it feels cheap. My first experience with a life proof case is the 6S fre power case. that case felt like it was worth 160 something dollars that I paid for it. The outside was easy to grip and had bumpers on the outside. In comparison, this case does not have any bumpers… I was a little hesitant to even put my phone into the case because I thought that I was missing something that went on the inside. All that cushions the phone on the inside is a small strip of foam that runs horizontally across the middle. Seems kind of cheap right? Also the built in screen protector has lots of dead spots around the top and bottom and sometimes the sides. you have to Press harder on the screen. I think it’s more of an issue on the X case than it was on the 6s case. it feels like the design was rushed and lots of little detailed overlooked. overall if you’re looking for a case that fully covers your phone I would recommend the life proof case. even with these little annoyances.

The phone went flying into street landing up against a curb. It was about 105 degrees out. The battery alone should have melted, not to mention the damage that would have happened to the phone if I didn’t have a life proof case on it ! Life proof saved my phone with no damage at all !

The only drawback is that there is no longer the belt clip that the case slides into, where the screen can be protected and unseen. I have had Lifeproof cases for my last several phones and have been able to use my old belt clip until this phone. Quite disappointed with this aspect.

I chose this case for the build in screen protection, but it makes the screen slightly blurry. I also have a wireless charging mat, but it doesn’t function with this case on. It said it was charging all night, however, my phone just got obscenely hot and didn’t charge at all. With that said, I still like the case a lot and would reccomend it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It’s a lifeproof case.... Overall it’s a lifeproof case, keep the dust and water out, and I’m not worried about big drops. I noticed the same as other people with the screen cover seeming grainy. It was extremely noticeable when I first put it on, but I have grown used to it. It still bugs me a little when the screen is white. The case size is fine, seems big at first, but I was used to that after a day. The quality of the case is better than cases of past in my opinion. As will all lifeproof fre cases I hate the rear window showing the Apple sign, wish this could just be solid. Every case that I have owned this has been the failing point, over time the phone gets hot and slowly degrades the tiny bit of glue on the window, which allows water to seep in, usually have to replace around 5-6 months. Just be sure to check that window before water use. Also wish this case was all black, not fun bringing out my neon green striped phone case at work and business meeting. It’s not too terribly noticeable though. Anyways, it’s a lifeproof case, it works, they will replace it if it breaks, I have sold all of my previous phones for a lot more than others because they come out of lifeproof cases looking pristine and brand new after 2 years. It’s worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Case Overall So I purchased the Fre for IPhone X because it includes a screen protector and a very clever design allowing you to fully utilize the stereo sound from the new X. Even though it is fully sealed, it works. They use a tiny hole in the top side of the case in order to channel the sound, and it is brilliant. So your phone is fully protected. Now the not so good part is I ordered the fire run color, (more orange than red) and the front of the case is made from a type of rubber. If you are like me and carry your phone in your pocket, I would suggest the banzai color or the black. The red gets dirty very quick and the color seems to darken from rubbing the inside of your pocket. No way to clean the rubber once it turns color. It just makes the case look really bad. I will say that I was very impressed by the warranty, that they stand behind and the level of customer care I received was stellar. They fixed my issue right away. I am very confident in purchasing other products from lifeproof because they do such a great job with taking care of their customers. As far as durability, it is bar none the best protection money can buy for your new X. It is very slinder and sleek to be a full 360 protected case, and with no bulky feel. The color is different on the case than what shows online but what isn’t right? Depends on the screen you are viewing it on. I will say this case has saved my iPhone three times already and to my surprise, not even a scratch on the case, much less the phone. I was concerned when I first opened the package because of how flimsy the case feels. However, place your phone inside, and it makes all the difference in the world. Research and development has really thought of everything with the features of the case. I would buy this case again, and not look back as there are no other cases that provide the amount of protection for your new iPhone X as the Fre. Not sure about you, but it is well worth the price to me considering the $1000 price tag of the X. Kudos Lifeproof!

I left my phone in its box for a couple days hoping to order a LifeProof and take the phone straight from the box into it’s beautiful new LifeProof Fre. But when their availability took a little bit longer then expected I had to temporarily use another option. Switching from the survivor case I had chosen to LifeProof made my phone feel brand new again. Other brands REALLY downgrade the user experience on fancy devices. But life proof just fades into the background, the way a phone case should. This case almost weighs nothing. It’s comfortable to hold. It’s not slippery like the polished back of the iPhone It looks great. Form fitting, meaning it doesn’t take away from the beautiful esthetic of the phone. The only comment I have is... More mild color combinations. Such as greys and blacks and browns

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Safe and sound I feel so much better now that my IPhone X is safe and sound in a fre case. I used a fre on iPhone 5 and iPhone 6 and never had any damage. Slim lightweight and waterproof, what else would you want.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the tech. Not a fan of the color schemes I've been a lifeproof customer for a couple years now and had a fre case for my iPhone 6 and loved it. I wanted to keep the waterproof tech for my new iPhone X and cannot complain about the usefulness of the case. However, the color scheme options are disappointing with the lime green color incorporated in every design. Every color except the black seems like it is marketed to a group of middle schoolers. Part of the hype of the iPhone X is the aesthetic value and I don't feel that the lifeproof case adds to this value. I would like to see more color options with a potential clear case to show off the aesthetics of the phone.

While out kayaking on the Middle Fork of the Flathead River in Glacier National Park, I stopped to surf a play wave. I had forgotten to zip the pocket on my PFD where my phone was, and when I flipped over, it fell out. I didn't realize it until later. Long story short, five hours later I was able to retrieve it...and it still works today! This case really works!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favorite so far With every iPhone I’ve ever owned, I’ve always gone to lifeproof for cases. Each one before I’ve always had problems with. Whether it was not being able to hear or the speaker not working properly. The FRE for iPhone X is problem free!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from fre’ iphone x seems bulkier than one on iphone 7 but it fits and is sealed and waterproof for now . went through 4 or 5 cases on iphone 7 due to leakage eventually. only complaint is it seems to dull the brightness in contrast of iphone x screen which is little disappointing and doesn’t seem as sharp and nice looking like without case on. i guess one other complaint is colors no camo? really? these colors are for 13 yr old girl n boys it seems. disappointing

Not a lot of cases offer the protection you would want on a $1200 phone (iPhone X that isn’t bulky (to fit in a slim purse) and still looks cute and has a screen protector and is waterproof. But I found it!! Listen I’m clumsy and falling in water, getting dusty, and dropping it is totally right up my ally! It snaps on super easy, is super lightweight, isn’t bulky to the touch and still looks good. It takes a little more effort to push the side buttons but hey, my phone is protected so I can’t really knock a star for that. I’m curious to see how the little charging door/cover thing lives after daily opening and closing and how that will affect the waterproof/dust proof protection but only time will tell. A couple weeks in and I like it! And I should disclose that I’m not a phone case type of person... it’s the first one I’ve had in like 5 years.

I expect it to do well in protecting my new phone as I have used Lifeproof in the past and I had the same phone for 6 years. In fact I had to replace the case before the phone. I decided to invest in another Lifeproof as it did such a good job on the last phone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awful! Don't buy unless you want to waste money Normally I am very relaxed with product reviews because there are good and bad of each product but this was horrible. I got a LifeProof case off amazon two weeks ago and water tested then figured out the casing around the camera on my iPhone X case was compromised. Believing amazon might have sent me a knock off I ordered the legit LifeProof fre from the website. Fast forward to tonight when I go to water test it... well I dropped it in water for a whole 2 minutes because as soon as I dropped it in water for the test, the same area around the camera was bubbling the entire two minutes leading to a leak in the case... not only am I now troubled with having to return the case but now I have to spend extra money on a new tempered glass screen protector because I threw out my old one when I got this case that failed. I even took a video for proof but uploading it to YouTube to post here isn't worth my time
