The printed rich color exceeded my expectations and the logo was large and not out of shape. It also arrived 8 days sooner than estimated. Obviously the quality of the speaker speaks for itself. Highly recommend the personalization feature, I will definitely do it again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful solo on-the-go speaker The speaker checks all the boxes for a take with me party speaker. Great that it connects to as many JBL connect speakers as I can find. Up to 100 makes the mind wander. Allowing two phones to connect at once is really nice. As a solo, I may be wanting more clarity on the crystal high tones. I understand for quality perhaps is why I must have an identical speaker to make a stereo pairing, but it would be nice to allow any device into a stereo pair. Waterproof is peace of mind.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not What I Expected I have had the JBL Charge 4 exactly 1 year and 6 months....the POWER button is already worn out and the device will not turn on. Let me tell you - the amount of use this speaker got was minimal....under 20x in that 1.5yrs. The only way this device works or turns on is when plugged into the wall and to the device with the USB-C charger. If you want this expensive 'Portable Speaker' don't expect it to survive more than 1year!!

I asked today for a cancellation and the support team just said that custom orders can't be canceled. They said from 7-10 days.... came on! since Sep 6 and still no news. DON'T BUY AGAIN ON JBL WEBSITE, AMAZON HAS THE SAME PRICES OR BETTERS AND YOU GET STUFF THE NEXT DAY!!!!. Maybe by 2023, I will get my item. Can believe that they lie about the order and have to wait so long and can't cancel it!

After dropping it from 3 feet up on of the subs stopped working correctly. And then just a few days ago took the speaker to the river and it won’t turn on even with moderate water contact. Very disappointed it this outcome.

I dropped it in a fryer at my job where it became melted I then pulled it out and sprayed it off in the sink several times. I thought it was done for but it still works like new!! It sure doesn't look new but wow that is waterproof and 380 degree fryer proof!! I will never buy another brand and everyone at my work is now off to buy one!

THE SPEAKER WAS SUBMERGED FOR LIKE A SOLID 2 MINUTES WHILE WE PANICKED AND MADE OUR WAY TO A SMALL ISLAND. I SET IT OUT IN THE SUN TO HOPEFULLY DRY IT AND NOT GET IT RUINED. IT DID GREAT. I TURNED IT ON 5 MINUTES LATER AND IT WORKED JUST FINE. I PLAYED A SOUND TO GET THE WATER OUT AS MUCH AS I COULD BUT IT DID GREAT! WE WERE STRANDED FOR 3 HOURS AFTER RHAT IN THE WOODS SURROUNDING THE RIVER TRYING TO GET TO THE MAIN ROAD, AND WE LISTENED TO TOOL THE ENTIRE TIME . IF I COULD RATE THIS A 20/5 I WOULD.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits in my kayak's cup holder perfectly! Love this speaker. I had a much older, smaller model which I loved because it fit in my bicycle's handlebar cup holder! I was disappointed that they kept growing in size over time when mine was stolen but you know what? The Charge 4 fits perfectly in my kayak's cup holder!! That's a Scotty brand cup holder fyi (wider than some). And the speaker's waterproof!! The sound is powerful and bassy, the charge lasts a bizarrely long amount of time and has bright lights to show how much charge is left and it charges phones rapidly. Have used it at the beach, by the pool, in the kayak, at the bbq and in the vintage car for vastly better sound. Way too loud for most uses. Highly recommend.

I chose my favorite painting and uploaded it as the design and it looks perfect as if it were a unique design. I love it because it’s sentimental and no one else would have my design. They did a great job on displaying exactly what I wanted. Also a great speaker overall, I’ve been needing a new good quality speaker and when I saw these were on sale, I just had to do it. For a customized speaker, the price was very reasonable and cheaper than I expected. Not enough people know you can customize your jbl speakers!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Defective product. I bought this product in September (writing review in November) and the battery life is very short, plus it doesn't charge as it plays either. I thought this was normal but my brother has the same model of jbl speaker he's had for two years and it's battery life is both significantly longer and it plays as it charges. Seems like the speaker I purchased is defective. Furthermore I bought the personalized version of the speaker and the paint color began to fade within a month of purchase. :( People might have a good experience with their speakers as my brother did with his but I can't say the same for myself.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good single speaker, but Connect+ feature is trash As a single bluetooth speaker, the Charge 4 does a great job. it has decent sound quality and fills a room. However, I bought a 2nd Charge 4 to have a stereo pair using the Connect+ feature and the JBL Portable app. I've updated firmware on the devices, removed any other wireless devices that may cause interference, moved rooms, etc. It just will not work properly. In Party/Stereo mode, the speakers constantly cut in and out, crackle, speed up or slow down the audio, etc. My phone (audio source) has no issues with any other bluetooth connection. This is extremely disappointing, since I purchased the second Charge 4 to replace my two Amazon Echo devices that had similar issues, but the Charge stereo is even worse. I'm now a few hundred dollars down, and have two speakers that work well solo.

When I learned you can personalize them now I shreeked like a little girl & had to hop on the band wagon. My boyfriend may have laughed for the moment, but I enjoy having a picture of us on it because of how special the speaker is to me now. Thanks JBL! Great quality & sound!

I used to have a more expensive bluetooth speaker from a well known brand (rhymes with "nose"), but this little JBL is the superior product. It is louder, the sound is clearer, the charge lasts longer, and it was about 1/4 of the price. Would highly recommend.

I like taking it out by the fire pit and listening to music while winding down after a long day on the farm. It is Small, convenient, and has very good sound quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressive Speaker Over 3.5 years, this thing is still going strong. Since it's usually used in an indoor environment, it's not under much if any stress. I am amazed with how well the battery has held up after an estimated 600 hours of total use; only slight wear. I have used this, as well as an Xtreme 2, to keep phones charged during a 4 day power outage, which together needed recharged every 2 days. Connect+ is nice to have, as I can connect my other speakers (Pulse 3 and Xtreme 2) pretty much within its range of bluetooth. Sound quality is pretty good. I'm a bit of an audiophile, but an equalizer app had no problem with getting this speaker to sound how I would like. Other JBL products I own: Clip 3 - 2.7 years, Pulse 3 - 3 years, Xtreme 2 - 3.1 years, Charge 4 - 3.5 years, and Go 2 - 4.1 years.

This is the perfect size for where I wanted to put it. The engine and exhaust is very loud in my truck, but I can still here the music well. The louder you crank the speaker you will start losing bass from it, but again, good for what I wanted.

I give it only four stars because it did come with the ability to forward tracks like my headset does. I have to touch the phone to do this. Otherwise, it has outstanding sounds compared to its size.

It's just a speaker & amp but it doesn't play as loud as my brothers Galaxy S7 phone. I thought the Charge 4 being from JBL a professional speaker company it would have been better sounding & louder than a phone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Please read!! Great product I’ve had this speaker for a couple years and it has been awesome! From 3 boys being rough with it to trips to the beach, wouldn’t want anything else. NOTHING though, can compare to what I just put it through though. I left it on an outside job site, over a March weekend in Ohio. Weather was 20 F but felt like 5 F, both nights. And it rained!! When I found the speaker Monday morning it was half frozen to the ground and itself has some ice build up. I put it in the truck for about a hour to warm up and defrost, expecting there to be zero battery. After turning on without hesitation, this speaker was able to play music all day without powering down!!! Would not buy another brand. I wouldn’t be shocked if I have to replace it soon, with what just happened but it’ll be an easy decision which route I’ll choose.

What kind of products are u trying to sell customers please explain? If this is not false advertising please explain what is this? JBL used to be my favourite speaker. After i bought JBL charge 4 my whole opinion about JBL and their customer service has changed because they have the worst customer service ever. Whatever you may say what they reply is that it's there on their policy page. I know that it's there in the policy page what I as a customer expect is to understand my problem from my point of view. I get why some people think it might be ok, but when you try to push the volume, it shows that it's just a tiny useless bluetooth speaker trying to be advertised as something better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Full Sound I have heard the smaller speakers and they were. But when I finally decided to purchase a Bluetooth speaker I know I want a fuller and richer sound. The JBL Charge 4 does exactly that! With the 2 bass speakers and 30 watt output I couldn't be happier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well balanced sound I bought the charge 4 along with a charge 3 on black Friday to see for myself which one sounded better. If the charge 3 sounded better, like some claim, I didn't want to pass up the deal for $89. I'm sending back the charge 3 and keeping the charge 4. Side by side the charge 4 has more bass and a cleaner more lifelike sound. I compared many songs and types of music, hands down the charge 4 wins. The charge three had almost no bass compared to the charge 4 and the charge 3 has too much sound in the mid high area of frequency range, not well balanced. I wanted the charge 3 to sound close to what the charge 4 did that way I would keep it, at such a great deal, and have two speakers to play together with the JBL connect plus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love JBL sound I purchased the Charge 4. It was a better price than the Charge 3 at the time. I have 2 Charge 3 units. It sounds good as JBL always does. I think that the bass on charge 3 actually sounds better. Maybe because it's a more compact unit. I never can get them to go in stereo mode or link mode. Also the app is useless. My best use is just turn it on, it auto connects to my I pad and play music right away. I am a audio professional and always depend on JBL.

Second the sound quality is complete trash. The crackle is insane when barely turned up. Do better JBL. For what they want to charge and to sell such trash products is insane.

So I came to the JBL website, found these on sale for about 100 bucks. I like the fact that it has a 3.5 mm aux input.

This speaker last me a year and a half. Battery drains and barely last half a day. I just expected a lot more durability for the Battery.

Turns out my dog had buried it in the back yard for the last 6 months. When I took it from him and plugged it in it still worked!! by this speaker, it's worth it!

It has no problem playing loudly. To that end, I always have it turned up, but the battery life has still been terrific. The fidelity is reasonably good, and really the only reason to deduct a star for my rating.
