Maximo for ISP supports the business model of a department that manages the assets and provides services for their customers or end users. Accordingly, there is an array of functionality available in Maximo ISP to support these requirements. The first key capability is multi-customer, which allows providers to manage multiple customers in one instance of Maximo ISP. This allows a department (IT, facilities, maintenance) to handle the unique needs of the other departments with department-specific process flows and chargebacks. Furthermore, Maximo ISP allows the SP to manage customer agreements. These agreements specify the services that the SP is obligated to provide to each customer, department, division, the prices or chargeback amounts for providing these services, and any unique activities that must be performed for the customer when providing these services. This allows the ISP to manage their department like a business and gives them the ability to align services delivered with the appropriate business priorities. Accordingly, one of the keys to success for a SP is consistent delivery of service. This can be achieved by automating the service delivery where appropriate. Maximo SP provides response plans, which automate the steps and activities needed to respond to individual customer requests. Reliably charging back for all of the services rendered at the appropriate chargeback amount is also vital for SP success. Accordingly, all of the transactions and chargebacks are collected and placed in batch for review.
