I`m not the most technologically savvy consumer. So I was so pleasantly surprised when I received the HP Color LaserJet Pro M254dw. The unit is hefty. I was concerned that it might be too big for my desk shelf but it fit...just barely. It`s got an adjustable touch screen panel which makes it easy to see from across the room. It also comes with an installation CD which should have made it super simple to install. Unfortunately the software wasn`t compatible with Windows Vista so I wasn`t able to install it on my laptop. I was, however, able to very easily connect it to my wifi. From my phone I downloaded the printing app to talk to the HP Color LaserJet Pro and off I went. I was able to quickly and easily print off photos that I`d been holding on to for YEARS. Lastly, I don`t know if it`s a big deal to anyone else but I was so glad to see, or I should say hear, that it was so much quieter than the last home printer I had. With the size of the HP Color LaserJet Pro, I was expecting it to sound like a freight train. Boy, was I wrong. On top of all of that, the print quality is top notch. My cell phone photos came out looking better than they did on my phone. Thanks HP for making a great printer!

Rated 5 out of 5 byHebelr from So far so goodPrinter seems to work great, only been using for 2 weeks though. We are finally upgrading to laser for home use. We go sick of all the ink problems. My other larger version of this printer has been working great for 2 yrs now for my business use.

Rated 5 out of 5 byslh22 from Great PrinterSet up was very easy - having a touch screen LCD makes connecting to your network very easy. If you want to use the HP software it takes a few extra steps to figure out so giving 4/5 stars. Prints nicely.

All the instructions, connectors, disks, and warranty information were located atop the printer in the box. The printer was easy to remove from its packaging. The printer is loaded with its toner tray.SET UP - the instructions come in two (2) sections clearly marked "1" and "2".STEP 1 is intuitive with simple written instructions and pictures. This step shows a break out of the unit, how to load the paper, attach the power cord, and turn the unit on. STEP 2 - This section of instructions includes (3) Initial setup on control panel; (4) Select the connection method; (5) Download and install software; (6) Mobile printing (optional and includes a QR code); (7) Setup HP ePrint via email; and Troubleshooting.I followed the steps listed and, at initial setup, found the control panel on the top, right of the printer. This touchscreen will prompt the user to configure language, location and default settings. There is a prompt to "Print Information Page." This gives instructions how to change default settings. I did this and found it helpful.The next step was to select the connection method. One can connect a device directly to the printer via USB cable, a wired Ethernet connection, or a Wireless network connection. I opted for the wireless connection and used the "Wireless Setup Wizard" on the Control Panel. I entered my router`s password when prompted and was connected. Next, I downloaded the software to my laptop and phone by going to address provided. This printer works with Windows and OS X, as well as Apple and Android.I had a few thing I needed to print for work and I went through the usual steps, selecting the desired printer from those offered on my device and hit enter. I normally hear my Canon Pixma printer when it warms up and prints. The HP was quiet, fast, and crisp.I encountered no issues in delivery, setup or use of the printer and am looking forward to lots of professional looking prints.N

Sometimes it says it is "out-of-paper" when the tray is full. Very Compact, Easy Setup, Great Colors! No More Ink Cartridge$$$ ! ! ! I have owned a HP OfficeJet G85 for several years and it is still working like new !

Throughout the years we`ve bought other printers but we kept the HP LaserJet because we couldn`t bring ourselves to get rid of it. So imagine my surprise when we get this new HP color laser jet and it is so much better than our old LaserJet. The colors are extraordinarily vibrant, it is fast, and it`s just amazing print quality and the Wi-Fi component is so easy to set up the everyone can now print from their laptops and their smart phones. If you have to buy one printer this year make it this one.
