Dries up and is costly
We print infrequently but when we go to use it there is always a problem with it saying the ink is empty or does not print with any quality. We have to print test pages and then sometimes it will start printing. The HP 63 are in the upper price range comparably and seems to be lots of wasted money on what use you actually get out of them if you leave it sit for a few weeks without printing.

HP ink cartridges are very dependable, high quality products. However the ink supply seems not to last very long. I do relatively little printing but am still replacing cartridges frequently. I wish HP offered Extra Large cartridges in number 63 cartridges.

The last cartridge I purchased from HP was a dud. I didn't even print 25 pages and it died. I made one more purchase...this time a high yield. If this happens again, I will no longer be purchasing my toner ink from HP. When I purchase from HP I expect quality... Evidently what I got was some used, dried up cartridge. Hopefully this won't happen again, because I will no longer be buying from HP. This has never happened to me in all the years I've been buying ink from other vendors. not happy

Dries up long before all of the ink is used.
New cartridges work great, but I've tried the economy, original and the bulk cartridges and all have dried up when I get just below 50% ink capacity. I've performed the clean cartridges task as well as the deep clean, but neither helped. Any suggestions to get lasting results would be appreciated.

I purchased this cartridge after going on the HP website and looking up what type(number) cartridge I needed for my printer, it said 63 I purchased it. After waiting almost 3 weeks for it to arrive I put it in my printer only to find out ITS NOT COMPATIBLE!!! I’m so disappointed I wound up going on Amazon and getting my refills, and they arrived the next day and were cheaper. Moral of the story I will NEVER order from HP again.

And is already low on ink........these are the worse cartridges ever........the cheap ones with out the name HP last longer with the ink...........and they are so expensive they should last longer..........I do not print much and I am already in need of a new one. Printer was easy to set up to just print but the other features like scanning and faxing was difficult. I had to research the instructions on the web as they do not come with manuals anymore like in the past. Already used one ink cartridge in less than 1 month. Do not sign up for automatic ink replacement not worth your money.

After searching the web for a good deal, I was able to find an original HP 63 black ink cartridge at an acceptable cost which is rather a rare find. The ink cartridge works great and I would buy original HP ink cartridges regularly if the prices were compatible with the knock off brands.

A Waste While Cleaning Heads
Ink is wasted during cleaning of the printer heads. Even while using just gray scale or black and white, the color ink is used when the heads are cleaned. (when starting the printer) It's good ink, just a waste that costs me $$$

I received this on 4/21/2020 and installed it. Today I see that the ink level is below half. I have only printed about 6 or 7 pages. My printer hasn't been working and I tried to investigate and found the ink level so low. Not very happy with it at all.

I've been buying HP cartridges #63 both economy and standard supplies. I can never get up to stated pages printed about 190 at a cost of $19.88 for a cartridge. Yield is mis-stated. I printed about 90-100 pages over a 6 month period. I got about 52% yield. I called customer service to rep[ort product F6U62A from Malaysia does not print as what is claimed. I keep buying these cartridges for I need them but not satisfied with yield.

I needed a new ink cartridge and decided to use the HP app. I downloaded it and synced my printer. Told it what I was looking to buy. It must have double checked to identify my computer and the correct cartridge. I ordered using the app and a few days later my new ink cartridge arrived. It was easy to take out the old one and place the new one. Bonus, there was a prepaid bag to return the old cartridge for disposal or refurbishing.

HP products are fine, at least the ink is. What annoys me is that HP makes printers that only work with HP ink and paper. Then a less-than-1yr-old printer puts out errors (out of paper) which are false. Ink does no good when the printer won't work! I'm not a technician, I can't understand directions to possible solve problem. Time for different name-brand printer, last 3 HP's quit in under 1 yr. Below I'm rating the printer, not ink.

This HP ink cartridge was purchased to replace one that I bought at a place that refills ink cartridges (although I'm not sure they actually refill). Anyway, the ink in that cartridge did fine briefly, then I had to use on the "best" printing setting to get a copy, then even that didn't work. This HP cartridge is so much better and is all I will buy from now on. And the HP even cost a few dollars less!

I purchased two of the 63 black ink cartridge and unfortunately was not a good item ink ran out too quickly and am very unhappy. Luckily I purchased two, I still have to purchase another due to low ink levels in cartridge.

The darn thing doesn't work
Don't know if the printer is a lemon or the cartridge was bad.... I tried all the tricks that the web forums had but could not get it to work. I'm going to buy a new one from a store. At least I will have someone to complain to and returns are easier.

This cartridge fits my printer. I was out of ink and had to buy a new cartridge. This is the one that was necessary. It works. Ink cartridges are very expensive in my opinion but when you are out of ink you have to get a new one if you want to print. Really there is not much to rate.

I spent probably about an hour trying to figure out how to sign up for an ink subscription service with hp only to find out I have to print a page from my printer in order to set that up...BUT I DIDN'T HAVE ANY INK! So I just ordered a single cartridge and gave up on the subscription. I am pleased with my single cartridge purchased but annoyed about the subscription service.

great upgrade from my first Chromebook
I bought this to replace an older Chromebook and I am pretty happy with it. I only have one complaint. There is no HDMI socket. I bought an adapter to go from USB to HDMI to run my separate monitor and have yet to get my monitor to work. As you can see, no picture on monitor. Other than that, I am really happy with my new Chromebook.

I bought the HP OfficeJet 3830 after using an HP PSC 4100 for years and years, so I relied on HP's reputation for good products. One drawback is I can't seem to do a preview of the print job. Envelopes are tricky to print.

I was in the habit of refilling cartridges to save money, until I got my HP printer, it won't accept the refills. Lucky I stumbled on this sight, the carriages last much longer, and my print is much better. And I don't have the hassle of refilling. Cost is about the same.

The ink will not register in the printer. Did all of the recommended procedures to reset and reload, chatted with tech to help, complete hassle to even try to get the information to return. VERY UPSET with this product. This is the first time i have ordered directly from the HP site and already have issues with INK!

There were no shipping issues nor did in have to get in contact with customer service. My only problem is that I cant really print that much with this ink. It does not last that long. I think next time, I will record the exact number of pages I can get out of a cartridge of ink.

I was out of ink went to hp site and the only black cartridge they have in stock for my printer was for 190 pages only and I need the 480 page cartridge. No one to talk too. Chat was no help. I emailed them and was told to keep checking. Two weeks and still not in stock. Not happy.

I bought 2 of these products which claimed to print 190 pages. One of them did 58 pages and the other printed 63.
I thought HP made ink cartridges that were "long-lasting" which is marked on the box. These weren't marked that way. Still working on getting a refund

Good quality ink, but page yield is inaccurate.
The HP ink cartridges give good quality copies, but in my experience do not produce anywhere near the 190 pages that is claimed, even doing just basic one page typed letters (no pictures). In my opinion, these cartridges should be retested and a more accurate estimate given. Otherwise, I have had no problems with HP ink cartridges.

Replacing the ink my HP OfficeJet couldn't have been easier. The website identified exactly what I needed and I received it the day after I ordered it (which was sooner than expected). The cartridges work well and last fairly long if you use the draft print mode. At first they can be a bit tricky to install if you are not used to them. I got a 30 percent off through a special offer so it was cheaper to go through the HP site than the local office supply store.

When I opened the first cartridge I shook it to be sure it was ready to go...and was promptly hit with ink flying out.
I'm sure it will never wash out of the garment I was wearing at the time.

No ink!!!
I just bought this. It is purely for a home printer. We have no business out of our home and we’re barely using this at all. After I printed maybe five sheets it says it’s low on ink. I don’t understand I just bought this ink and I bought it directly from Hewlett-Packard to make sure it was good high-quality. I am so frustrated I have submitted emails to Hewlett-Packard and I have heard back from no one. Please contact me.

So far, so good.
I have used the black cartridge that came with the printer it seems for a long time. I do NOT print real often and did not keep a page count, but compared to a different printer and ink for it, this was much better. The catches that hold the cartridge in place do not work real easy but was acceptable. The best feature is the price ... and to not forget the free delivery. My black cartridge was a few cents cheaper than Walmart, but it comes to my door very fast. (No gas money driving to Wally-world.)

I bought this product because my less than 1 year old printer/scanner was not printing. Even though the unit said I still had 50% of the ink left, it would not print. After taking the cartridges out, tapping and shaking--still nothing. so I ordered new and hope I get performance than the original cartridges!

I was VERY Careful to Specify the Printer Make, Model No., Serial No., Mac Address, Description, and Cartridge pages desired - Cartridge was a " 63 ". Not sure now what will fit ! ?

The ink cartridge did not print
The ink cartridge states that it will print 190 pages. We printed 97 pages and the printer stopped printing black. The majority of the pages were printed text. So, not heavy ink users. We thought this was just a defective cartridge. But, the second cartridge ran about the same amount of pages.

I AM GOING NUTS WITH MY OFFICEJET 4650
Ever since I downloaded a new version of my iOS (10.14.1) my wireless connection does not work. And there is no one at HP to talk to except a Virtual Support person that is hopeless. My printer is just a year old. Best Buy suggests I get a Geek in for $100.00 - almost the price of the printer. I suggest you rethink your customer service and not your bottom line and start providing better systems to help customers with interfacing issues.

The mixing of both black and color is perfect.
This is the second HP printer I have purchased and I love it as well as the ink cartridges. A cart lasts longer than other brands, and photos of our family come out so clear and pretty. Keep making them this good and I will keep purchasing them.

Had to get ink. Printer without ink isn't a printer. I had tried other inks that claimed to work like a 63. They did not. Your electronic protection is very good. So, like Mr. Gillette, you have me. I will have to buy more. But you certainly get more than enough money.
