Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works very well for instant pc tethering backup Unless you want to configure workflow programs like Capture one or Lightroom by default you only get one copy of each image as it is taken - This drive is ideal to use with a back up program such as Goodsync to have an instant back up made ( depends how you configure Goodsync ), just makes me feel more comfortable...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saved My iMac I use it a boot drive for my 2015 27" iMac, the internal drive has a lot of hours and is very tired, the machine started bogging down, until I plugged in this SSD and reloaded a fresh install of MacOS Monterey, restored from a time machine back up, my machine was back up and running as fast as it was when itt was new.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My SSD failed the first I used it and crashed my Mac Such a shame as this going to be for my Music, I now can't use the music software as it crashes every time I try and use the disc. It was quite expensive as well. Will teach me to do some serious research before biting the bullet. Sorry guys that this can't be more positive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from faulty on arrival couldn't use it , froze screens on my pc and laptop, returned for credit to the black hole of a return centre that over 5 days no one answered the phone on any line , left 2 messages no reply, phoned crucial was told had to wait 15 days for refund not 4 to 5 as i had read on website. he contacted return centre and they said they had not received it! it was very securely packed very clearly labelled and sent by royal mail, unfortunately my partner didn't track it , so i have no storage drive and no refund

It gets quite warm when making large copies, but I'd be concerned if it didn't. I don't have a USB port fast enough to comment on the speed, but it works as well as I could hope on my laptop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from When reliability is crucial, you know what to do I use this for short term backups when I'm reinstalling an operating system or two or three on my desktop. Yes, I do run Windows 11, 10, XP, 98 and 3.1 but also several flavors of Linux. When my tinkering breaks something and I have to reinstall the OS, or I want to upgrade to the latest version this is the drive I want with the most recent copies of everything. Takes just a few minutes to transfer nearly 1tb of data. USB-c is the chokepoint. You'll only see transfers as fast as your computer is capable.
