In the past I had latency issues during recording due to the 2GB I had at the time. This has made a marked improvement in the performace of my Mac Mini when using this software and it was a very easy to install. I would absolutely recommend Crucial to my friends and family!

While Lenovo doesn't officially support more than 8GB in this laptop, there are widespread success stories. I can now add another success story. My T520 laptop works great with 16GB of memory. I now have enough memory that performance remains stable. Before, with only 6GB of memory, I would occasionally run out of free memory and the machine would start paging.

It worked for like 3 days and then screen of death! This time, it was easy. I just let Crucial scan my mac and tell me my options, so there was no concern of, "will this work on my computer?" My laptop went from snail's pace to like new. I'm not a power user, nor do I game that much, but I have no complaints with this product. It was easy to install, sped up my computer considerably, and was relatively inexpensive. If you haven't upgraded your stock RAM or only have 4-8GB of RAM, I would suggesting jumping to the full 16GB. You won't regret it.

Customer support was great, they walked me through removal and reinstall action, staying on the line to make sure that I applied enough pressure to seat the chips, and having me move them around so that they would make good contact.

I was able to upgrade my MacBook Pro 13-inch (Late 2010 model) from 4GB of RAM to 16GB of RAM in less than 10 minutes. I also upgraded the hard-drive to an SSD I purchased from Crucial as well. Again no problem and now my computer is really fast!

In each case the OS X handled the boost in memory and now reports a whopping 16GB on each computer. I recommend these memory sticks for at least a 2011 Macbook Pro laptop and a Mac Mini Server.

I made this upgrade over a month ago now and regret not doing it sooner. I have fewer crashes now in RAM heavy modeling software, and general use of the machine just seems so much smoother.

Made an incredible difference in the speed of my computer and it was less than 5 minutes worth of work to install. My only complaint is that shortly after my purchase my main e-mail account started getting bombarded with spam e-mails. I use this email to collect receipts from purchases and use a Yahoo address for everything else. I'm wondering if this company sells your e-mails to whatever company AAAAAAAAA+ is?

Getting the bottom card in is most challenging but after that it's not too bad. All in all an excellent purchase! Feels like a brand new computer!

Opening and closing powerpoint, I am a student at the moment, is almost instantaneous now. I do not have to watch how many applications I am running anymore! Such a relief and now my computer feels new again. Best and easy performance upgrade. Highly recommended.

They've proven to be reliable and competitive in price with other comparable products on the market. The modules are easy to install, especially if you've had experience in this area. However, if you're a "newbie", you'll have to search the Apple customer support web site or Google it, to get installation instructions because they are not included in with the product. Either way, the installation is straight forward and easy. Crucial is a brand that I will continue to use and highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sped up my sluggish Mac Mini My Mac Mini was slowing down to a crawl as the OS was upgraded. I finally bit the bullet and figured more RAM would fix the problem. I installed 2 8 gig RAM chips. The performance increased dramatically and I did not need to clean install the OS as I feared I might. The only draw back was in during the installation you need to be careful as you snap the units in. 1st try I did not seed them correctly and they did not register. The second time I got them to fit properly, but a piece of the bracket in the computer snapped when I installed it. I'm not a klutz at this type of stuff, so be a bit careful. Everything stayed in place despite the missing plastic, so the computer works fine.

It was becoming sluggish and I was getting the spinning disk. The memory solved those problems. Also, the memory was easy to install. Just go to YouTube or several places on the Internet for directions. I did it in about 5 minutes. I can definitely recommend the Crucial memory.

This really makes a difference if you use heavy memory applications like vmware fusion or have a lot of apps open at once. I wouldn't recommend it to a regular user - I think you would get more bang for your buck by going to SSD, however if you do run a lot of apps this is a great addition once you have upgraded the Hard drive to an SSD. I wouldn't add the RAM for your first step as it really doesn't make a difference in perceived speed until you really start using a lot of RAM. It did dramatically increase performance when I installed VMWARE fusion though and I could see this being a great addition for video editing, etc. Great warranty which is why I purchased form a reputable memory company

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 16 GB RAM has been a good investment I am a very casual user of a 2011 MacBook Pro. It was becoming a huge challenge to do the simplest things due to the endless spinning of the beach ball of death. My plan was to replace the 4GB with 16GB of RAM and upgrade the 500GB hard drive with 750GB SSD. I started with the RAM and the performance was greatly improved. Once I added the SSD, it was even better. I did both upgrades myself after watching some YouTube videos and reading a couple of articles. Upgrading to El Capitan added yet another level of improved performance. Perfection! I am looking forward to getting a few more good years out of my Mac.

Now it runs well- please note that Apple only references upgrading to 8Gb total, but no worries- 16Gb works very well and is the way to go.

The cost was very reasonable and the computer booted uo without issue after installation. I couldn't be more pleased. The speed of the computer is faster but not by a great margin. I solid State Drive would be the step to make a dramatic move in that regard.

I could tell the difference in improvement with regard to speed since the time I first had my stock memory to the time I upgraded. I may not be able to quantify in precise numbers but I noticed a faster response from multiple applications.

I'm usually plugged in so not an issue for me, but others who need to run on battery will see less work time available as the fan drains the battery faster.

If you are thinking of upgrading your computer as a whole, I recommend that you upgrade the RAM first and you will, too, notice a drastic change. I also don't have any more problems running multiple applications at the same time. Before you could hear the hard drive grinding away while the computer swapped memory. Best upgrad I've done.. Now I have a new computer. :-)

Installing this 2x8GB memory upgrade was like getting a new computer! I can now multitask many programs and the computer is still fast. Installation was fast and easy, too. Would recommend this upgrade to anyone with a 2011 MacBook Pro.

Installation is easy, but you may have to jockey the bottom cover screws (early 2011 MacBook Pro 15 inch) to get them all to go back in all the way.

This machine does a fair bit of work in apps like Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator and Fireworks) but not much video, so the performance boost we got was all we needed.

I run parallels to run both Windows and Mac simultaneously and I can now switch back and forth with ease and no issues. Even the Internet runs better. Having multiple applications and run Protools and other media programs is ideal to have decent amount of memory. I definitely would recommend this for anyone who works with media as I do.

This recommended upgrade for her machine maxes out the RAM on this 2011 machine. Installation was easy for an experienced user. I ran memtest86 overnight, which reported no errors. So far the machine is running fine, although its too soon to tell if all of the slowdowns are gone.

The spinning beach ball of death was making too many appearances. I thought was going to have to bite the bullet and buy a brand new laptop. Seeing the MacLife mag feature on "upgrading" and the reference to crucial.com website was a savior. I went to the website, checked my system compatibility with the online tool, and presto. The RAM upgrade has done wonders for my machine and was extremely easy to install.
