Rated 5 out of 5 bytom v from Hard to set up and hard to useBought and plugged in the machine, downloaded the driver and it worked sporatically, had to delete all printer drivers and reinstall before it would work, so far. The scanner won't scan to pdf and can't seem to figure out how to scan multiple pages in one file. Had lots of cannon printers and they worked well but this one is a problem.

The salesperson and information I read online stated that it was a 2 sided printer copier. Disappointed that when I was ready to copy 2 sided this was not an option. Everything else is perfect for what we need in our business.

However, the documentation is lacking any description of the various printer drivers that you can install (think PCL vs UFR. I'm used to PCL, and PostScript, but I've never heard of these other printer control languages, and the installation program offers like 4 choices. Please update the docs to tell you what printer language to install, and in which situations.

The wireless option was a new convenience to me and being able to print directly from my iPhone is a huge time saver. Easy to set up I was literally using the item within minutes of opening the box.

It also has wireless capability or you can install it as wired. (In my house I have two printers in two different places--one wireless and one wired--just in case the wi-fi goes down.) The cartridge is straightforward to install and isn't prohibitively expensive. The print quality is excellent and it is pretty fast--about 30 sheets a minute. I LOVE that the paper tray holds a 1/2 ream (250 pages) of paper. This unit seems to be good quality and I have every expectation it will hold up to my home office demands. Note that this is a monochrome (black ink) printer, not a color one.Disclosure: I was given a free printer to review, but my comments are based on my opinion and experience in using this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 byjsanchezk from Compact device that produces high quality printsOut of the rather large box, my immediate impression was, "yikes", given the significant amount of packaging and tape strips to remove before setting up the device for use. The printer itself had a decent amount of heft with regards to carrying from one location to another, but I was able to manage this without additional help. Aesthetically this printer offers a sleek, professional, and compact look that is not too loud for an in home/private office setting. Including with the device is a manual with detailed specs for the printer as well as an easy to follow 1 pager of wordless instructions on preparing the printer for first time usage. Once powered up, connecting the printer to my preferred wifi network was easy. I consider myself fairly tech savvy, but connecting to the wifi was not truly an intuitive process regarding which option to select prior to locating my wifi connection. I can see this particular step as being slightly complex for those with less exposure to technology. It was while using the buttons on the navigation screen to set up the connection that I discovered my first grievance related the movement of the console housing the buttons every time a button was pressed. It made the lcd screen and console feel cheap. Set up took less than 5 minutes including the time it took to download the appropriate driver for my Mac (which they included a 1 pager instruction sheet to follow). The first few pages of printing were completed in a very fast turnaround time. The results were crisp documents without any blemishes. There was, and still is a lingering scent of toner after the print job is completed but this may be a result of a newly installed toner cartridge. Really enjoyed how easy it is to make copies of documents that look of professional quality. Device is flexible enough to lace a book upside down on the copier. Printing from a device is smooth and produces professional quality results, however, I do wish there was the option to make 2 to 2 sided copies. I do not have a need to use the faxing functionality at this point in time, however, the necessary cord is supplied to set this up for use. Additionally, scanning documents to the computer is very easy and was completely without a challenge. One of my favorite features is that the compartment housing the paper provides a shield that can be used to protect the paper from dust and other air born particulate from blemishing the pages. Please note that I was provided this printer for free in order to evaluate my experience for the purpose of this review.

Rated 5 out of 5 byblinchik from Great wireless, touch screen printer!I found this printer to be pretty easy to set up, even for a novice like myself, and easy to use. I like the touch screen feature of the product (although it should be noted that the touch screen is very small, so you may need to use the tip of your finger to use it properly). I also greatly appreciated the option to connect to the printer via Wifi, and found it fairly easy to figure out how to get the printer working using the instructions manual. However, the manufacturers may consider making the pictures on the instructions manual larger so that it is easier to see how to set up the printer. A video of someone illustrating how to set up the printer would be even more appreciated.The printer itself prints quickly, and the touch screen interface is intuitive to use. The starter cartridge also includes a whole 1700 or so pages, so you won't need to be buying a cartridge immediately after installation, which is great (and rare)! I also had no problems setting up the printer driver via an easy-to-find download on the Canon site, which I decided to use instead of the included DVD due to having a Mac.Overall, I would definitely recommend this printer to anyone looking for a great laser printer, and I especially appreciate the straightforward design, easy to use touch screen interface, and wireless connectivity of the printer.It should be noted that I received this product for free in exchange for a review - however, this did not influence my review in any fashion.

Rated 5 out of 5 bychief from ImageClass MF247dwI ordered this printer directly from Canon. It arrived on time, and was very easy to setup. This printer is extremely fast, and very quiet. Printer automatically goes to energy saver mode when idle. All in all, this is one neat printer which has lots of punch for the money.
