Rated 5 out of 5 by from If You Liked The 6D, You'll Love The 6D Mark II I purchased my 6D Mark II shortly after it's release and am very pleased with my purchase. I had the original 6D version for several years and although I was very happy with the original version, the Mark II has so much more to offer. I read the specs of the Mark II carefully before making my purchase so I was aware of the strengths as well as any shortcomings the camera may have. I do not shoot video with my dslr cameras so the lack of 4k was a mute point. Yes the 45 AF points are somewhat clustered, but it is a huge improvement over the original 6D and all 45 points are cross-type. I have had no problem using the Rule-of-Thirds and have had no problem shooting in low light. The 98% coverage of the viewfinder (same as the original 6D) has also not been an issue. If something did unexpectedly show up in an image it would be at the far outer edge of the image and would be easily corrected. I can say that the images I have captured thus far are stunning. A lot has been said about the poor dynamic range of the Mark II and I just don't see it. I also have a 5D Mark III and a 7D Mark II and the 6D Mark II is a welcome addition to my arsenal. Yes, I do recommend the 6D Mark II if you are looking for a full frame dslr at a reasonable price that is very capable of giving you stunning images.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good but not Great! This is an upgrade from the 6D. I love the new Vari-angle Touch Screen. This is what sold me on this upgrade. The auto-focus is on par with the original 6D. I like the all cross-type AF system. Yes, they are all bunched together, but I can live with that. I have two disappointments. One - the lack of 4K video. Two - Only one SD card slot. Otherwise this is a great semi-pro camera.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great entry-level full-frame DSLR So far, I'm loving my new 6D Mark ii. I've used Rebels for decades, but always wanted to upgrade to a full-frame, but I just can't afford the high price of the 5Ds. The 6D is a nice compromise.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Elevates Photographic Experience I have owned the 6D Mark I and also the 5D Mark III, and can say that I prefer this new 6D Mark II overall. Things I really like are the dual pixel autofocus (very fast and accurate, face recognition and tracking (so cool!), variable touch screen, the frames per second, and low light capabilities. The only quibble I have is the lack of a joystick as found on the 5D to move the AF point around. However, the touch shutter on the 6DII is much faster than the joystick, and you can really pinpoint where you want to focus (assuming you aren't in bright sun as it's hard to see the image on screen). I've been able to capture images at angles that were next to impossible with my other camera bodies, take photos in extremely low light situations, and capture action with ease using the LCD. Overall, I am very pleased with the new 6D Mark II, and have been able to elevate my photographic experience with it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't be afraid to buy refurbished I wanted to upgrade my old DSLR and make the jump to full frame. When Canon offered a refurbished model at great Black Friday prices, I jumped at it. So glad I did. Camera appears new in every respect, works perfectly. Came will all (new? accessories. Only difference from new was that it was in a plain PowerShot box. I saved a lot of money and love the camera

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just About Everything I Expected I've spent the last 2 yrs on a T6s. My first DLSR after almost 40 yrs. I grew up shooting film on an AE-1. I've always used and trusted Canon products. They've never let me down. I've owned a few Nikon's too, (point and shoots) but never fully engaged. Always came back to Canon for both video and still photos. For many the 6D2 is an upgrade. This is especially true for those (like me) coming from APS-C. Like it's sibling, it's an entry level FF camera intended for enthusiasts, not professionals, but you could get by in many situations. For some, the 6D2 might not offer the bump they need to feel in order to justify the price. Did Canon upgrade the 6D platform? Yes, in almost every way. Even my T6s had more focus points (19) than a FF 6D (11). Now I have 45. Then there's the articulating screen. My T6s had this as well, and I love it. I couldn't imagine owning a camera without this feature. Live view, on the fly adjustments. The screen is a nice feature and a huge selling point. This is one of the reasons I purchased the T6s over other available models a couple of years ago. Of course price was also a contributing factor. I'm an enthusiast, not someone who’s photography puts food on the table. So a 5DMK (any) wasn't on the table. The 6D2 is very much what I expected. Entry level FF format with a updated chip. Canon has perfected the Digic 5 for sure. The Digic 6 in my T6s performs flawlessly as well. I think I’ve even heard people refer to the Digic 7 in the 6D2 as “crippled”. I don’t think this is a fair assessment. I share the same sentiment as others, this is not a 5DMKx. The 6D2 is pro-sumer and scores high in cost to value ratio. If you need 4k video, buy a professional grade body. If you are coming from a T6 / 6D or earlier (APS-C or FF), the 6D2 is a nice upgrade. It hit the sweet spot for me. The intent of my purchase was a move to FF. I got that and more. GPS, a bump in AF points, and a reasonable price. Additionally, I was able to keep the host of other features/functions I had on my APS-C body. Things I liked and had become accustomed to using. Using the camera is intuitive, and I’ve already taken some really nice photos in the short time I’ve owned it. I recommend this body. It's absolutely does bridge the gap between APS-C and a entry level FF body. If you are considering moving to FF and like shooting with Canon you will probably like this body. I am very happy with the purchase and pleased with the camera’s performance thus far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I've had a 6D and recently upgraded to the 6D MkII After 4 years with the 6D there were a few features I felt would be helpful within the Mk II. The first is the articulated screen. I've run into photo opportunities in crowds that I could not capture without an articulated screen. The Mk 2 has one of the few fully articulated screens in the business that allows you to capture images that almost no other DSLR will enable. That is a big deal. The second is the dual pixel focusing on live view. The Canon system is the best in the business and coupled with a quality full frame sensor allows both video and still images to remain in focus which competitors systems generally do not match. The biggest negative in the reviews involve lower dynamic range at low ISO, say between 100-300 ISO. I'm not doubting this but frankly I'm much more concerned in low light and performance at ISO of 6,400 plus. Most cameras capture beautiful images in bright light including the 6D Mk 2. Finally the 1080 video and focusing is very good. The lack of 4K video isn't a big deal to me but it would have been great to include it. That said, the processing needed to crop and produce 4K video is pretty intense and HD video is quite good. In closing, the 6D Mk 2 is an excellent camera for me. I typically use a Canon 24-105 L lens and a Canon 50mm 1.4 lens and obtain great results.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great camera I have Canon 7D and Sony a57, that is what I use. Yesterday I've got 6DII with 24-105/3.5-5.6 for an hour for the test drive. The images came out amazing, clean, vibrant. I am not a technology junky, so for me this camera has enough to offer. I am glad that Canon Live Learning gave me the opportunity to get to know this camera.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Focus Points Good on Paper, Bad in Real Life While I am thankful for all of the improvements made in this camera, the upgraded megapixels, increased number of focus points, swivel touch screen, autofocus, wifi, etc, I feel like they are all just updates that are necessary to keep up with the competing cameras. There's nothing revolutionary at all, which is disappointing for Canon. There were actually a lot of things that disappointed me about this camera, most of which I could deal with - one SD card slot, no 4k video. However, there is one thing that was a deal breaker. I was very excited to read that there were 45 focus points, and all cross type, BUT when I actually started to use the camera, I found my creativity in composing shots was severely restricted because all of the focus points were all clustered in the center of the shot. The workaround for this would be to focus and then recompose, but this takes an extra step and time, and I honestly don't think a camera of this "caliber" should require workarounds for something as standard as quickly taking a well-composed, focused shot. Sorry Canon, I'm not keeping this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Learning phase I bought this camera to upgrade to a full frame sensor with video capability. Trying to get used to focus points and settings. I was used to the 60D spot focus for underwater photography and the 6D Mk II is different (no so sure I like that yet. Also had to switch to different lens for wide angle shots as the mount on my other lens wou;dn't allow me to use it on the new camera. Still working on figuring out this camera before I take it underwater.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Initial review after 2 weeks 1 shoot Ok this is a camera body from 2017. So sure, there are cameras from all manufacturers including Canon that will outspec/out perform this camera. Saying that.. This camera handles very well.. Low light performance is pretty outstanding in my testing. The focusing system is accurate and fast. The colors are very very nice.. I shoot very neutral, RAW, manual to my liking.. even RAW the images are solid straight out of camera. I used 2 lenses on it Tamron 24-70 2.8 VC & the cheap nifty 50 1.8 STM and I'm thoroughly impressed with it using both lenses.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from To primitive I used to shoot canon and switch the the Sony A7R3. I decided to get the 6D mk ii for a second body only for TimeLapse, I somehow can not get my eyes to comprehend why the image quality I’m getting is so low but I think im going to have to send it back :(

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good camera but could be better I am a long time Canon user and wait over 4 years for this 6D Mark II to release. One of the first who received this camera through pre-order. Result: overall I am happy with the purchase but not 100% pleased, I am sure there were things that Canon can put on this camera that they obviously didn't want to. PROs: - Great handling and ergonomics - Good image quality - Improved Weather sealed body over original 6D. - Wifi, touch screen, and articulating screen!! - no 4K (yes, 4K is for the Pros, so yes it makes sense to go to 5D and 1D line for it) CONs: - Dynamic range, dynamic range at low ISO (coming from a 80D, at base ISO 100-200 is much better, shadow recovery is way worse, it performs like a rebel T6i). - Focus points: 45 is great, but they are all clustered in the middle. - 98% viewfinder coverage (2% holding back, really? Even the 80D has 100% coverage). - 1/180 flash sync (1/200 won't really interfere with the sale of the 5D4).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this camera I absolutely love this camera. I was upgrading from a 70D and I find the image quality incredible. My new setup is the 6D Mark II and the 24 - 70 2.8 I can shoot all day with just this equipment. It's light and easy to carry. The only downside I have had is how I frame the picture compared to a crop censor. I don’t have to be as far away. Something I will get use to quickly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from poor image quality After having multiple cameras over the years i decided to upgrade to full frame camera . Rated 5 out of 5 by from A step up Purchased this about a month ago as an upgrade from a T3i Rebel. Wanted to have 2 dslr’s so I wouldn’t be changing lenses on a photo outing. I am primarily interested in nature and wildlife photography. The 80d will be my primary camera with a 18-200 lens which is a great all in one. I’ll use the rebel’s with a 100-400. Still getting used to it - more buttons and some things rearranged so it takes some practice. No complaints so far. Pluses -26 megapixels, higher ISO and the AE lock in manual mode. WiFi hasn’t been used yet and probably won’t get a lot of use but is a neat feature. Still working on that. Body etc are up to Canon standards. Photo quality is excellent (as is the t3i).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent This is an excellent camera for landscape and general use. I'm not going to get overly technical in this review. I just want to bring some simplified reality to this discussion. The original 6D was excellent and this camera is better. All of the griping about the dynamic range is highly overblown. If you're a skilled photographer that actually takes good photos in the field, you'll not likely have any major issues with the dynamic range. Dynamic range is a good thing but I'm currently not struggling with this camera for professional use. I was using a 5D Mark IV prior to purchasing this camera. I'm glad I made the switch even with the reduction in dynamic range. I love the smaller/lighter body and I love having the tilt screen. I also personally feel that this cameras features and overall design is more streamlined. The 5D is the Jeep of the full frame camera lineup. It's a tank that can take a beating. If you're a photojournalist shooting for National Geographic, I'd probably go with that body. I'm a landscape photographer and I just don't need that much durability. It just comes down to what you need. Don't pass on this camera just because of all the negative BS on dynamic range. This camera is a bargain and it takes excellent photos. I have no regrets for purchasing this model.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great upgrade from the 6D I bought this to replace my Canon 6D and my older 80D. The only negative I have with the MII is there is only one card slot. I don't use the MII for video so no 4K was no big deal. The camera feels solid in my hands and has a very fast focus responce. There are so many negative's posted about this camera. If people wanted everything in this camera then buy the 5D IV. I take photo's as a hobby and this camera is just what I wanted. Would you recommend this product to a friend? That's a loaded question. If your coming from a 6D or a 80D and want a FF camera then I would answer yes. If you coming from a 5D MIII then probably not. Again for what I wanted this was a great buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little full frame camera I bought this camera recently, I think it is a great camera. Still testing it, to learn any limitations. I shoot RAW, so most minor issues, aren’t a limitation. I have been very happy with it. Canon has taken several proven technologies, and put them into a small lightweight body. It is a great addition to my Canon Cameras. I also own the 1Dx, all the 5D MKI - IV and the60D and 80D. Each one is has its advantages. I also have a shoot (2 1VHS film cameras, this sensor seems to me to behave a little more like film, which I like very much. Still to compare it to other cameras, is a waste of time... if your looking for a small light weight full frame, with impressive resolution. This camera is a great choice. I will use this camera as a backup camera for my football photos, but haven’t shot a game yet.. I have included some nature photo examples.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Camera Worth the Price I’ve read several reviews expressing that the 6D Mark II is the worst camera due to its specs and lack of features. To be fair, if you’re grading the worth of your gear on features, the 6D Mark II May not be the best option for you. For those that appreciate picture quality and the exposure latitude available with user created or third party picture profiles, I think you’ll find this to be a great camera. In full disclosure this camera does not have extensive dynamic range so you will need to reset your habits if you’re coming from other camera systems. However, the ability to quilckly connect your phone to the camera and edit photos on location, in the moment cannot be stressed enough. OMG, I never realized how capable Google Photos mobile apps are. You can get great pictures, edited in RAW onto your photo, color corrected, cropped and shared in minutes. IT IS AMAZING! Add in the ability to operate the camera remotely with full view of the image to be captured as seen through the optical viewfinder and you have family portrait gold. I recommend the 6D Mark II.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best little full frame DSLR This is my second 6D-II. I wanted a spare body of same model. With prices so low, it was hard to resist. Its image quality is second to none. It handles well and is very customizable. Coming from a 7D-II and a 5D-III, I miss the joystick controller; but this is a good sacrifice in order to gain lighter weight and smaller size. I highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Its just OK, nothing special. This is very much a entry level body. It is real basic and does not have a lot of the features that a 5D or 7D will have. But it does get the job done. Its a good place to start before you jump in for a lot more money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointing I bought this camera mainly for the price, sadly I’m not happy with it’s low light performance not to mention the poor DR, my 100mm 2.8 macro lens doesn’t work well with this AF system and the focus points are all cluster to the center of the sensor it’s imposible for me to get creative with my shots, I’m selling it to change for Sony’s A7III, I have used canon since I bought my EOS 3000 (35mm film camera in the 90’s but Canon always hold back to much and now it’s not the best neither the cheapest so what’s the point on buying canon cameras.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent DSLR! I've had a 6D and recently upgraded to the 6D MkII After 4 years with the 6D there were a few features I felt would be helpful within the Mk II.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible bang for your buck This camera is so underrated it's crazy. Photo quality is really excellent quality at this price range. Really good mps, good contrast and colors. CANNOT tether to lightroom. (WHY?? The resolution and dynamic range are perfectly acceptable for anything that will be viewed on screens or in small-medium sized prints. Autofocus is miles beyond the original 6D, but still struggles in backlit scenarios. Canon also NEEDS to figure out a better way for select focus than clicking the directional pad. (Just borrow the joystick from the 5D) The current system is doable, but it takes a LOT to get used to. Video needs improvement, but the 6D ii is the only fully articulating screen on full-frame (perfect for vlogging), decent video production (although no 4k and pretty dismal dynamic range) but overall, more than enough to get the job done. The codec is really lacking. If Canon wants to keep up with others in the hybrid (video and photo) shooting range they NEED to step up the video in this price range. The body and build aren't on par with some of the rest of the full-frames, but neither is the price range. I dropped this camera in a LITERAL WATERFALL, and the weather sealing was good enough to keep it alive. Overall, I love this camera as a "b camera". Put good L glass on it, and get some really stunning images

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Camera Upgrade This is a really great camera for someone looking to upgrade. Photo quality is significantly better than my old rebel camera. My favorite feature is the built in WiFi. I definitely recommend buying a new SD card. I had a year old SD card and my camera kept freezing if I took 3+ pictures back to back even though it was one of the recommended SD cards for the camera.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Poor ISO and Dynamic Range Performance I am using Canon 6D from last four years. I was waiting for the upgrade but when i bought 6D Mark II I was disappointed to see the poor performance of ISO and Dynamic Range of 6D MKII. 45 focusing point, tilting screen, video auto-focus are all options which are useless without good ISO and DR performance of any full-frame DSLR camera. Canon you should have released something better after 5 years, if you continue to do so one day iPhones and Samsung phone devices will have a better overall image quality than a DSLRs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very much satisfied! I've just stated using my new camera this past week and am very happy with the results. I already owned a 6D, but wanted the 'extra' 30% increase in information that the 6D Mark II sensor gave me. I often crop my images and rely on enough information so that I can count on a printable image.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from my first full frame I have been running point and shoot cameras and the whole line of canon Rebels up to the T6I for 15 years. This camera blows all of it out of the water. Hands down, this is the fastest and most powerful camera I've ever owned. I honestly have never touched anything better than this 6D mark 2. if you're looking to upgrade from a crop sensor, this camera is definitely an upgrade. If you already run full frame cameras, then I'm not the correct person to take advice from. I love it. It's awesome.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No HDR in RAW mode only JPG. :-( I am so steamed right now. After taking abn out two hours of maternity pictures I realized the camera only took low resolution S2 pictures. Previously with my 7D Mark II I generally set my camera to take RAW and forget about it. Not so with the 6D Mark II, you are forced to only take pictures in JPG while doing HDR. Needless to say two days ago after taking HDR pictures I forgot to switch the camera back to take RAW. Call it a rookie mistake to not check my settings before starting a paid session but I find this a design fail on Canon's part. If the camera can't take HDR pictures in RAW then have the camera just take pictures in only JPG and dont make me change my default settings. It was so frustrating trying to explain to my client why a simple oversight on my part due to this design flaw is preventing me from being able to print poster sized prints for her.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from EOS 6D Mark II Camera We bought this camera about a year ago and my wife really loves it. She also bought with it the EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS III USM Optical Telephoto Lens. She has gotten great results with outdoor/indoor sports use (action shots). She has many people on my daughter's high school teams wanting their pictures taken during play. The Cheer Coach is likely going to purchase this camera/lens setup. Great job Canon!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's like taking pictures with my own eyes. I have had my EOS 6D Mark II for just over a year now and even after that year, I still wholeheartedly recommend it, whether you're a pro or advanced amateur/hobbyist/enthusiast. If you're more of a beginner, it might be a bit much, but there's enough training wheels with the guided modes to get you started. I've paired this camera up with no less than 11 different EF lenses ranging from a "just good enough" kit lens from an older 35mm film Rebel to my three L lenses and it just plain delivers every time. The controls are easy to use, autofocus just snaps to where you want it, and the flip out screen is pleasant to work with. I enjoy the built in editing features, too, when I'm out and I want to quickly touch up an image just to send it to a friend right then and there. Since I got this camera, I've seen all the newest bodies, even the new Canon R6 and I wouldn't trade it for any of them! Mirrorless might be for some, but for me it's the 6D Mark II all the way.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Get Back To Basics With This Great Camera I've had the 6D II for about a year now. Great touch screen functionality, the swiveling screen is a huge plus. Not a lot of bells & whistles, but who needs all that fancy stuff, anyhow? Great image quality, especially with Canon L lenses. My only 3 gripes: 1 it would be even better with the 5D IV's viewfinder AF system (or something close to it); 2) it would be nice to have Face Detection AF in viewfinder mode; 3) a second SD card slot would've been a plus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Great Full Frame Camera I purchased the 6D Mark II in December of 2018 and I have fallen in love with the camera. It has great ISO performance and offers more features than its counterpart, the D750. While the Dynamic Range was a little surprising, I haven't encountered any issues with it in post processing so far. The focus is quick and accurate, although the 45 AF points are a bit clustered in the middle. The camera feels great in the hands, and outdoes its Nikon counterpart in terms of build quality. The camera handles complex scenes very well even with minimal light when shooting landscapes. The touch screen is precise and responsive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from For me it's, "Wow!" I just received my 6D II yesterday. I am impressed, to say the least. However, when I saw the thickness of the owner's manual I almost had heart failure! It's over an inch thick! But...it's in three languages so that explained a lot. *Whew* I immediately charged the battery and took some test shots. Totally impressed. The experts may not be too crazy about the 6D II but I am! I upgraded from my trusty 40D and I am not sorry I did. I use two L series lenses: 24-70 f/2.8 and a 70-200 f/2.8. The 6D II will make those lenses shine even more. The attached images were taken with the 6D II with the Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 L lens-hand held with only available lighting. Aperture priority setting and auto ISO. RAW converted to .jpg with Photoshop Lightroom. TAKE NOTE!: RAW images taken with cameras manufactured after 12/2017 are no longer compatible with most older Apps and/or programs. My Lightroom 4.0 could not read the RAW images taken by the 6D II. You will/may need to upgrade. I had to forsake my trusty LR 4.0 and became a paying member of Adobe's Creative Cloud family. I chose to download just Lightroom. For some, not having 4K video may be an issue. Did not matter to me as I seldom use video. This WILL be a great upgrade to an enthusiast's full-frame. I still have lots to read and learn about the 6D II so I just may be adding to this review. Enjoy!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Performance I bought this camera to replace a Canon 5d Mark II that was loaned to me. After almost 2 years it was time to return it to its owner. I researched several Canon brands including the Canon 7d, R5 and R6. This was the best choice for me. The flip screen along with the performance has not been a disappointment. Other features which I am enjoying more and more are the wi-fi enabled capability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Entry into full frame photography I purchased this camera new about 2 months ago. I am on a budget so I only used a EF 50mm 1.8 ( "Nifty Fifty" at first. I was able to get very good results but as it is a prime lens it was limiting. I just purchased a Canon EF 70-200mm f/4 USM L IS II, the pairing with these resulted in just AMAZING pictures!!!. I have done photograpy for a while now and love taking pictures of my family as they grow up. I am not a pro nor could I buy the 5D, but for my purposes I am blowen away at the results!! The game changer is the ability to shoot at high ISO and still get very clear shots...at 100 ISO they are tack sharp!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Full-Frame Upgrade from my CMOS Camera Purchased the 6D Mark II a little over a year ago, an upgrade from my Canon 50D. Loved the 50D, fast, clear shots, just wanted to upgrade to a full-frame and take advantage of my various Canon lens I've purchased. To fully appreciate the 6D Mark II I would suggest investing in an L-series prime lens to see the difference in your photo taken. A few months after purchasing the 6D Mark II I purchased the EF 24-70 f/2.8L II USM, really showed me the difference between the 50D and 6D Mark II.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from After 6 months Overall I love this camera because of it's ergonomics and features. Not even considering I came from another Canon, this body fits so nicely in my hand and the buttons all feel good. The AE lock and AF point selection buttons could be more bumpy to press though - they are a little soft. The biggest downside of this camera is probably the sensor. 26MP is good, but it is not as sensitive to color as it should be. Just taking photos in the "Faithfull" picture style means huge amounts of color boosting in LR. I almost always shoot in "Landscape" for increased blues saturation. I would say the sensor is not any better than the one in my 10-year-old 50D in terms of light sensitivity capture. Sad, but for the price, it is still a good camera.

The 98% coverage of the viewfinder (same as the original 6D has also not been an issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Full Frame, High ISO, Nice Improvement My review is based on my favorite featureless of the 6D. Love the articulating TOUCH screen. Swivels so you can see it, check the menu, zoom & swipe with fingers or even gloves - all that. This is Best feature of this Pro-grade camera. paired with Canon's 24-105mm Lii get sharpest results. Also high ISO for astrophotography, time lapse, Wi-Fi, and GPS. I kind of miss that cheap built-in top flash for the fill snap shots. Maybe there was no room up there, but I could use a flash fill now and then.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Out of Focus I bought this camera last November brand new, and it continues to front focus even after being serviced my Canon. All the lenses have been calibrated professionally, and there’s still a noticeable issue in almost every picture. It’s kind of upsetting because spitting out this much money as a young photographer isn’t easy, and to have that product not work properly even after having the factory “fix” the issue is frustrating. On the other hand, the flip out screen is nice but that’s about it. I recommend saving up for a 5D, the frustration isn’t worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This Thing is LEGIT! Ok, first off let me clear up the fact that I am a very amateur user and I’m relating this to the only other DLSR I’ve had which is a Canon T3. I loved my T3 but my friends were telling me what I was missing with a crop camera. So. I did a little research and decided that the 6D was my best option to start with a cheaper model and see what the deal was. Saved my pennies and waited for Black Friday. I will probably never pick up my T3 again unless it’s by accident or I sell it. This 6D Mark ii is light years over what I had. Everything about it. From the pictures to the feel everything is substantially better. This thing is LEGIT!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very pleased with this camera! I bought this camera the first week it was available, replacing one of my 2 Canon 6D cameras with it. I'm quite pleased with it. My photo work is a mix of motorsports and landscape work. The 6D MKII is a significant improvement for motorsports action work compared to the 6D. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Camera Had this for a few weeks and have been very happy with the camera. Coming from an 80D, the low light capabilities are awesome. I'm just an enthusiast, but I was able to have keepers at iso 12800. The digital image stabilization combined with an IS lens is awesome for videos. From my experience, as long as you set your exposure properly you won't have issues with dynamic range that a lot of people are mentioning. So far it has met and surpass my needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very pleased with my 6D Mark II As a professional real estate photographer, this body does exactly what I need to do. I wanted a full-frame sensor for great detail with very little noise. I also wanted a body that would allow me to leverage my investment in some wonderful Canon glass. This allows me to blend multiple exposures by hand to create attractive images of properties shot anytime from mid-day to mid-night. Here are a few examples. I do wish it had a bit more dynamic range.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really enjoying this new camera! I've been shooting with an EOS 7D for the past five years and I've been waiting for the EOS 6D to be updated for the past year and half after a trip to took to South Africa for a photo safari. I wanted to make the jump to a full-frame camera, and the EOS 6D MII came out just a couple of weeks before a planned Alaskan brown bear photography trip. I took a few short practice sessions to get familiar with the new camera and to compare it against my 7D using the same lens and same conditions. The results were great. I just came back from my brown bear trip, where I shot over 5,300 pictures (over 2,700 in one day), mostly with the older 100-400 USM lens. The camera performed as expected. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great upgrade from an aps-c camera This camera was a huge upgrade for me, considering that the last camera I had was the rebel t3i. The noise levels at high ISOs is low and I feel comfortable using up to ISO 8000. Live view is amazing and AF is fast. I would recommend this camera for people that want to step up their photography skills, because there is a lot of customization you can do with this camera. I wouldn't recommend upgrading from a 6D because the sensor is almost identical. The only reason to upgrade from the 6D is if you want the new features and the articulating touch screen is a huge plus. If this camera fits in your budget, then go ahead and buy it. It is a great second camera.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like New! I bought this 1 month ago, and it has been the best upgrade I've made. The camera itself came looking and performing like a brand new camera. If I had not known that it was refurbished when I received it I would never have known otherwise! The fast shutter and full frame sensor make it perfect for anyone shooting professional photography. WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity make it very easy to setup and shoot remotely, as well as see the pictures on a higher resolution display instantly. The one major drawback I have found is the lack of 4K video recording. This camera has all the power and the sensor to be able to record 4K, but it just isn't available in this camera.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from When Canon gives you lemons I know all the negatives there are to know about 6D2, I have been dwelling over this camera body since it came out. It doesn't make sense at all the amount of artificial limitations introduced into this. You can literally opt in to any entry level Nikon and you're guaranteed to have better sensor / noise performance than 6D2. Trying it for myself I'd like to say even though I'm terribly disappointed in Canon's decision making, I'm quite fond of it. The picture taking experience with a DSLR that has good ergonomics and "good enough" performance is still rewarding enough not to through it away. Yes I love my 6D2 and it's the worst camera you could buy in 2022.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Poor lens convenience It doesn’t work well with my favorite lens and having trouble finding one that works that also fits my budget. I use my camera mostly for travel and need a wide range lens so I can get the shots I want without having to carry a lot of lenses and change them frequently on the road. My 18-200 is not a Canon lens and the corners are blacked out. My Canon 75-300 works great but I can’t get close up shots. Not ready to give up yet but the loss of lens convenience is a major drawback.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very pleased with this product. Love this camera. I have owned many Canon DSLRs and I have always wanted one with a full size sensor. Now I have one and love it, but imagine my surprise when less than 30 days later, the price was lowered yet again and the same product is now selling for nearly $40 less than I paid for it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome !! Upgraded from my 6D which I've owned for 4 years. Can't understand the naysayers giving this camera negative reviews. Canon is up front about what it has and what it doesn't, so why complain about the lack of features after you purchased it. Photos are tack sharp, Menu is easy to use, new focus system and pixel count are improvements. To say this is not a pro camera is really under rating its capabilities.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very dissapointed As a professional landscape photographer using and loving the original 6d, I was so excited to get my hands on the flip screen with this new 6d mark 2 model... Believe me, I wanted to love it but each time I went out shooting, the images were very disappointing... I keep trying to love it but the images told the story... Not nearly as good as the original 6d so I reluctantly returned it... This was the first Canon product I haven't loved as I go back to the Canon Ae-1 program days... I am not alone as I have heard similar complaints from other pro's. I hope Canon will come out with an improved model soon, at least the same quality as the 6d... I did appreciate Canon's best in the world customer service who promptly handled the the return...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good ... and Not So Good The original Canon 6D is and has been an incredible product, often being called "Canon's unsung hero" or the "underrated gem of the line". There is a reason ... its low light performance, great ISO performance and clean images "just happened". Whether shooting nightscapes, the night sky ... or bright landscapes in sun w/ areas of shade, the RAW files recovered detail beautifully. The night sky images at ISOs bet 1600 and 3200 had great detail and using tools like Lightroom, one could easily clean up any noise (luminance slider) and not lose star details. Astrophotography FB groups are full of images taken by photographers using the 6D... I've pushed mine w/ its limited AF and 4.5 fps shutter rate shooting fast jets at airshows like the Blue Angels. Sure, the "hit rate" was not great at 4.5 fps, but when it hit, it NAILED the image beautifully. Been waiting over 2 years for the 6DM2 to get hands on... the new features (45 AF points, DPAF, touch screen, 6.5 fps, etc) are awesome additions by Canon... IMO, just adding those and meeting or exceeding the IQ and DR of the original 6D would be a TOTAL WIN. After shooting with both for 3 days and comparing the results at lower ISO100, ISO200-250 (common for landscapes) ... I was stunned to see more noise in the recovered shadows of the 6D2 ... still puzzled HOW this could have ever happened. There is no question that Canon's color science, easy-to-navigate menus and great ergonomics are the product's real high points. I must say, however, with competitors pushing better sensor technologies and resulting image quality, I'd be remiss if I didn't express my sincere concerns now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not Weather Sealed I live in the South East and after year and a half the camera gave out. I set it to Canon for repair and they said it was caused by humidity getting inside the camera and causing corrosion. I can not recommend this camera to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this camera! I bought this camera back in June and I love it. It makes for a great first full-frame camera and could also be a perfect backup camera. My only issue with it is that it doesn't have dual card slots and it lacks focus points towards the outside of the frame. I bought this camera knowing that these two things may bother me, but they don't bother me enough to give it a low rating. It performs better than all of the cameras I have had prior. I do plan on investing in the 5D Mk IV next, but keeping this for backup, as I stated previously.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you take mainly portraits this camera is for you After reading many reviews, some positive, some negative, I made the choice to buy this camera. The 7D which was a few dollars more wasn't a good fit for me since its best features were for action photography. My forte is portrait photography where most reviewers placed this camera's strength. This camera focuses very well, the color is almost perfect and overall its well built and has more features than I will use. I would recommend this to anyone who like me shoots primarily portrait style photographs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Couldn't be Happier! Upgraded from a 7D. Couldn't be happier. Better, easier controls and clear menus. Loving the LCD touch/tilt screen. Very useful. I researched Nikon, Sony, and Canon, even Mirrorless all very carefully, worrying over my $$$$ decision. I could have used lenses from my old F100 SLR or 7D. I'm glad I chosee the 6d MK II.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great introduction to full frame Great features for a first full frame camera. I wish there was 4k video and had more autofocus points, but other than that it is a fantastic camera. The claim about the dynamic range is blown out of proportion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great entry-level full frame got this a few months ago great camera, see that some people have had problems with stuck pixels ( red, blue or white pixel in frame can be fixed by setting camera in manual cleaning mode with shutter open for 30 sec, also make sure batteries are fully charged. also turning off a few of the training wheel settings might make shoots a bit better for those of you that know how to use a camera already. All this being said i think this is a great entry-level full frame camera and if this isn't enough camera for you maybe you need a 5D.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent upgrade option! Excellent Camera! I upgraded from an 80D and the difference is night and day. To really pull the most out of this camera you really cant skimp on the lenses. The official canon EF lenses are what I've had the most success with!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Canon 6D Mark ii I've only used this camera for a few photo shots since I received it two weeks ago. I like the simplicity of the controls and the relative ease of use. So far I'm very pleased with the quality of the photos. The auto focus is very accurate and the battery is still holding a charge. My only complaint at this time is that the Multi-controller dial has issues when trying to hit the left button while reviewing photos on the display. The work around is to use the Quick Control dial when reviewing photos toward the left. I've read some reviews where other customers have had similar problems with the Multi-controller dial. Hopefully that is the only problem that I will have with this camera. I'm looking forward to seeing what it can do.
