Perfect for situations where two HDMI devices must share a single HDMI input on a display, this HDMI auto switch provides for hassle free operation. The power required for operation of this switch is provided from the HDMI source devices, so no separate power adapter is required*. With the wealth of devices now using HDMI, it is easy to run out of free HDMI inputs on an HDTV or home theater receiver. This HDMI selector switch solves the problem by providing additional high-definition digital inputs for sources including Blu-ray™ and DVD players, gaming systems, and high-definition cable/satellite boxes.
The auto switching functionality provides for a system that is easy to use, while manual switching functionality is available for situations where more control is desired. The auto switching feature is able to sense when a new device is connected or powered on and will automatically switch to that port. When the device is disconnected or powered off, then this feature automatically switches to the first connected device. In situations where two devices are connected to the switch and powered on, or sending an HDMI signal to the switch, the Select button on the top of the switch may be used to switch back and forth between the two inputs.

Does not work as advertized
I bought this to connect a DVD and a Fire Stick to one port. If the DVD is turned off (which it usually is the device either turns it on and defaults to it (which I do not want) or it does not connect at all and I get static on the screen. Why does it sense that a device is not powered up, and insist on switching to it?

Great straightforward product!
Does exactly what its meant to in a quick, convenient manner. Exactly what i wanted. Very rarely can have trouble with audio. If distorted just press the button to the other port and again back to the device your trying to use.

purchased 3 to install in identical scenarios. 1 works flawlessley, 1 introduces screen flicker and choppy sound and 1 didn't work at all.

Does not auto switch but will manually switch.
Used with an Apple TV box and Genie Direct TV. Does not auto switch. Manual toggle button works fine. Picture quality and sound is good. If it auto switched like it’s supposed to I would have no complaints. Better than nothing as my older Sony TV only has one HDMI port.

The Right HDMI Adapter for the Right Situation
It's perfect for my application: Connect a laptop and a DVD player to one HDMI input on my Smart TV. Only issue is the position of the output and input jacks and the weight of the unit; it has a tendency to fall off the TV stand.

This port splitter is easy to install and works! Unfortunately, after I installed it to split my one TV HDMI input to my Roku Express and my region free DVD player, the Roku started displaying an error message on my TV screen while using it. Just one of those things.

COMPACT, SIMPLE SETUP AND OPERATION
I bought this to switch a couple of HDMI sources in our cable TV setup. The switch was easy to set up, and 'just works' as described and expected. The only thing I was surprised at, and perhaps it is of little actual consequence, it has a jack for a 5VDC power supply, but a supply was not included. I had one which fit and used that. Otherwise, nicely done unit.

Works perfectly
This was the perfect solution for our conference room projector with 1 HDMI input. The Apple TV (which is always on) plugs into Input 2, the other HDMI cable into Input 1, and it switches as expected between the two of them. The Apple TV has plenty of juice to power the switch. Nice!

Does not work with Valve steam deck
I wanted to use it to switch between Nintendo switch and Valve steam deck, but only switch works with it.

It failed me
I purchased this device to support two different external devices, one of which streamed TV to my large flat panel TV. However, the streaming device consistently lost signal and experienced HDMI failures. I suspect because this device did not persist current on the connected ports. Ultimately, we gave up and removed it to get consistent TV service and stopped using a secondary device with the TV. It proved unreliable and a waste of money.
