Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very difficult to peel off correctly When peeling very often it doesn't peel at the glue surface but at the glue backing. To separate the label from the glue backing is exceedingly difficult. I now print using the inkjet that doesn't produce heat. There is a slight improvement. Is there a substitute product that doesn't have this issue?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Labels have been changed These labels used to be the best ones for name tags. Now they are fine for merging, but a total pain for separating. Why were they changed? It took me three times as long to separate the name tags for an event. You can no longer just punch out the name tag. You now have to remove the separations and then pull out the name tag sections and then separate the individual name tags. I will be looking for a more user friendly name tag. Avery - you shouldn't have changed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product We were having a 50th year High School Reunion. I had used Avery Pin Back Name Tags which I printed and glued pictures to from our yearbook. The pin back worked great because many women wouldn't have a pocket for the clip-on style. I then wanted to print name tags for the spouses or significant others accompanying our classmates. I bought the Stick-on style but didn't hold out much hope to print them easily. But I was so mistaken, the templete was so easy to use as was the Pin Back style. They printed beautifully and our event was a huge success because the name tags helped to identify former classmates who changed dramatically over the 50 years. Thank you

Ted and his wife, Faye, have 12 children, with spouses, grandkids, great-grandkids and great-great-grandkids (177 descendents) we thought at his wake we would use name tags with color coded ink so everyone would know Name, whom from the 12 they belonged to, and their relation to Ted. That part worked great but they didn't stick too good. They started to curl up on the edges after while. We didn't wear them to the funeral.

The information does not rub off as the day progresses. People are able to easily remove them once they are finished. You are able to put information on them with no trouble at all. Margins work perfect so it is an easy process.

Initially, I had some printing problems, but I think this was of my own doing. Paid extra for a heavier weight made to adhere to fabric.

I have used this product for years and they've always been my go-to, so I ordered them for my big conference this year...and I've been crying at the printer for an hour trying to print these out. Apparently the product has changed and instead of having labels that peel away, these pop out...which means they consistently get jammed in the printer, the pieces pop out on their own, you can't re-use a sheet if you only use 1 or 2 labels from the sheet...it is beyond frustrating. I have been trying for an hour and a half to print labels out - something I've done numerous times with this printer - and it keeps jamming. This is such a frustrating and unnecessary change to an otherwise great product. I can't believe I wasted $70+ on this.

They do not adhere to most fabric types, especially modern fabrics such as Dry-Fit and Clima-Lite. The vast majority of my guests are wearing these shirts and their Avery name tags end up on the floor. Your engineers need to address this issue with you otherwise very nice product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Product Changed and It's Not Good I have used the Avery Name Badge Labels 5395 for nearly 10 years and it's always been a great product. I received my latest order and I am completey disappointed. The paper feels thicker and the adhesive has changed so when a sheet goes through the printer, it becomes detached and it cannot be used again. I typically run a label or two through at a time, so this is going to be a complete waste of the product and at a very high cost. . I hope that Avery goes back to its original product. I need to look for other options now.

Badges were costly and a bother to collect again. Each month we have a different theme for our meetings. These print up nice and are easy to use. So happy to find these. Quality, flexible, right size. They wear well. They are easily removed when you want them off, leaving no trace on your clothes. Will purchase the bigger box next time - perfect product. Quickly and easily, I was able to print off nametag labels using the Avery peel and stick labels in my printer. As a member of the local SW Branch of the Virginia International Dyslexia Association, I was responsible for nametags for our special educational workshop on ADHD for teachers and parents. I had never printed labels before this event and was a little apprehensive of the task, but once I got started the directions were easy to follow and the nametags printed with ease.

I admit, I have purchased cheaper, less known names of tags only to find they do not stay on people long. Avery tags stick longer and do not leave residue on clothing when removed. Definitely my choice from now on.

If you don't want to break the name tags out separately it makes it harder to get them off. Having trouble finding the old style that WORKED. Will try 45395 instead and report back.

I play board games, and it just happens that Avery name badges are just a tiny bit smaller than a normal playing card. So you can use them to easily create custom cards for "print and play" games, or even flash cards or other educational uses. They work just great in a color laser printer. People think my cards are professional unless they look really closely. Among other things, I use them for a game called "Werewolf", where I create my own custom cards for the game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great in many ways, but not when the paper peels with it :( The peel away function, allowing the badges to be separated for easy alphabetizing or other organization, makes it great for preparing for an event. However some of our attendees had issues peeling the back of the badge to stick it on - the paper backing peeled apart and half stayed on the back of the badge! Maybe it was due to humidity, or a bad batch, but it made for a tricky beginning to our event. Hope this problem gets fixed, because for those 75% that didn't have a trouble, they worked great.

With 25 to 30 students in my class I need have enough labels that I can print them out and have a new one for each student to wear at the beginning of the day. Really loved that you could remove the labels from the sheet, but the actual nametag was still adhered to the backing. This made it easy to attach the nametag to each participant's folder so everything was neatly placed in the folder for registration. Glad we found these labels and will definitely continue to use them!

I'll skimp on other things and buy generic whenever possible, but not this. The badges print easily and stay on -- which is most important! I mean, what's the purpose in printing badges if they're just going to fall off?! Well worth the price -- highly recommended! We print them with a color logo across the bottom and WOW! What an impact they make!

They were the perfect size for round corner tin boxes. After designing the beautiful floral design and adding the names of the bride and groom with their thank you and date, it was great to just peel and stick. Everyone loved them and naturally asked how I made them. Avery Labels of course!

The guests sign in over a screened image, and ASK ME TO DANCE appears at the top of the label. Then you just peel them off and discard at the end of the dance. A great ice-breaker!

I downloaded the software to mail merge using my Macbook. However, I could only mail merge to my address book, which then imported the entire address book. I wish I could have mail merged with the Excel list I had created specifically for this event. I finally entered all 130 names to print one page at a time which was time-consuming. I could have used mail merge in Word, but I liked the images available through Avery that were not in Word.

I created a name tag for each student or child to wear during the tour here at the Honolulu International Airport. They love wearing them and especially the little ones are so proud to see their names printed on the labels. I print them with our company logo and a graphic of our aircraft along with each child's name and school/organization. It's a great way to "personalize" our tours! Thank you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Used to LOVE these labels As it states in my title, I used to love these labels, but now the labels have a prominent perforation on the backing so removal of the nametags (so they can be laid out individually on a table) has made the presentation poor. What used to be a great to use nametag has become a chore to prepare. The last set I purchased prior had a "seemelss backing so each label peeled out easily. One thing positive though, I love the ease of printing on these and how easily the labels come off the backing.

The most recent batch I used curled and peeled off almost immediately. I had to redo labels for almost 100 pieces of art. Either the paper is lighter or the adhesive is different. Either way, these labels do not work well like they used to. Very disappointed!

I printed out the labels, complete with graphics of where they should work (pigs, horses, concession, etc) and there was never a question as to where they should be - it also helped when we would see one of our volunteers and wanted to make sure they were in the proper area! The great thing I like about them is that when you stick them on they stay fixed on until they are pulled off by the participant. I will not buy any other product of this type unless the name AVERY is on the label.

Hosting home parties or large break out sessions transition better with the Self Adhesive Removable Name Badge Labels by Avery. One of the things I really like abut these labels over others is that the corners don't roll up and away from the clothing. And I am particularly happy that the adhesive leaves no after effects once the badge is removed. Definitely A+++ from my standpoint.

When I was a jewelry rep and had to send out postcards I printed all of the information on the label. added a decorative border and put it on the postcard. My grandson was at Fort Benning, GA for basic training for the Army and I had to put a red dot the size of a quarter on his address, so I printed the address and added a red dot from clipart and it worked out great.I printed a whole page at a time so it was easy to send him a card or letter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Customizing name tags for an informal wedding part When our son got married on the East Coast there so many family and friends who couldn't attend, we made a huge party here on the West Coast the week after the wedding. In fact we made two of them on two consecutive nights. One night was for family and the second night was for friends, we had about 90 people at each event. Because the bride and her family were from the East Coast it was important to me that everyone as they met a new face would know where they fit into the bride & groom's life. So, I used these nametags to create a background and title, like "Joe & Suzy's wedding reception" and then I was able to print in the middle of each label the name of the person and their relationship to the bride or groom. Each night had a different color scheme. For example: Jane Suzy's mother and, Melodie One of Joe's Favorite Cousins (there were a lot of those.) All the attendees were thankful that for once at a big event they were able to actually know who the people they were meeting were. Most important the Avery name tag label was easy to use. I was able to not only make it look festive, but I was able to customize it. Thank you Avery.

I did and they were a big, big hit. They truly last all day. I told everyone to try them. Last year it took 3 days to prepare the name tags for our event; over 300 people. This year it was about an hour. Added out logo and printed all the registered guests, sorted in alpha order and we were set. The only improvement that could be made would be perforated sheets.

However, the latest batch of name tags is perforated and this makes them much harder to use! They are useless. Sometimes they rip or the edges are jag-get, I have to take more time to reprint. I guess Avery wants to put out a cheaper product at the higher cost.

With the design and print option, I can design the sticker any way I want with my logo and automatically fill the entire sheet with this same look and print! I can then grab a sticker from the sheet as I need it and with the way it is made, you don't even have to use it right away, you can take it off with the backing still attached! They curled in the printer - had to put a heavy box on them before we could use. Tomorrow is an all-day training and after reading reviews on other sites, I'm a little worried they won't stick all day and will be difficult to peel off the backing. I'd read some reviews that mentioned they were harder to work with, but I found them VERY easy and attractive. We don't use them a lot, but when we do, it's nice to be able to break them apart smoothly,,. It was very easy to get the name tag off the backing with no problems. We will definitely use them again.

A few times, I've had to set-up a last minute meeting with maybe an hour or two to prepare. Most people coming only knew their own group, so it was very quick and easy to print up these labels with everyone name and company name on it.

The Avery 5395 works perfectly when importing names and company tags to each label, plus they are perforated and easy to pop off. I highly recommend this product as you can just type in the #5395 into the search toolbar in Word and the template will auto download. You can also cross-reference from Excel making it that much more simple to import over multiple platforms. I use them all the time.

I have three events during the conference that I use 400 + name tags for each and this was very frustrating. This year, the same thing! I will definitely find something else to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from THE NEW LABELS ARE HORRIBLE Avery recently switched from a "Peel-Away" design to a perforated design. Although the box still says Peel Away design. The new labels are difficult to remove and just not the same quality as they once were. A change not for the better in my opinion. I have been told that the Aver 45395 use the Peel Away design and I will be trying them for my next event. Avery, you really have taken a step backwards with this change.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Poor Adhesive Recently printed 300+ name badges for a fundraising event. Many complaints about difficulty with the labels staying on. Most embarrassing, one of the speakers tried to keep his attached to lapel and after 20 minutes it just fell off while he was at the podium. Very disappointing.

The 'punch out' design made for much quicker, cleaner, and more professional looking name tags, and also created less rework caused by a scissors cut where not originally intended.

I used to put a border around the edges, then the text in the center... now I put the text at the top, and let her color a picture that relates to that book in the leftover white space. These are a perfect size to fit inside books. Since she enjoyed coloring the book labels so much, I'm going to use these in place of gift tags this Christmas and let her make little drawings on them too!

Ever since the perforation was changed they are difficult to pull apart and the end-product looks terrible around the edges. Before every name badge was clean & smoothe around the edges and looked professional when they were on our registration table. Now they look shoddy and take 3 times longer to separate than before. PLEASE change back to the previous version.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easiest I Have Ever Used I have used several different types of Avery name badges. The new Avery 5395 Removable Name Badges are the easiest ever. I was able to quicly separate the name badges from the backer. They came off cleanly and looked good laid out on the table for the attendees to use. With other backer material, static cling has been an issue giving attendees problems when they tried to throw the backer away. Not with the 5395. Name badges came away from the backer easily and the backer material dropped right in the waste basket (where it belonged). I highly recommend this name badge!

I have a Mac computer and just downloaded the Avery template program and it makes my job ten times easier. I would recommend any Avery product and will continue to buy, especially because the template program makes printing more efficient than the process already is.

So easy to customize, print and present. They peel from the sheet easily... so nice when setting up events, no cutting or tearing needed... They are neat and clean looking, which lend to a professional looking display.

Improvements in quality include less curling, better adhesion, and a brighter surface for laser printing. By far, the most appreciated upgrade to the nametages is the fast and easy separation. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Used to be great but new perforated badges awful I used to LOVE the Avery 5395 name badges- I print hundreds at a time, and they were very easy to use. I could easily punch them out. However, the latest batch of name tags is perforated and this makes them much harder to use! They take two or three times as long to punch out (which makes a difference when you are doing hundreds of name badges) and they look much worse, often tearing. I do not think it is fair to sell a lower quality product for the same price.

I have not used it for shipping so would not be able to speak to that, but we use it for organizational purposes and it works very nicely. My one con would be the fact that it does come off pretty easily when used as a nametag- it's grip on fabric just is not as good.

This year was my 30th high school class reunion. We had a summer gathering weekend and I was incharge of making name tags, so I used the 74549...Pin Name Badges. Everyone could feel good approching classmates with out being ambarrassed for not knowing eachother's names. High School was hard enough...We wanted everyone to feel comfortable. Mission accoplished!

When the child leaves at the end of the day with these badges on their clothes, the parents and family members go wild. Hugs. Kisses. At home, the students take off their badges from their shirts and stick them in a notebook. Their Brag Badge collection grows. They become a reminder about excellent work and behavior. I use permanent marker to write the student's name and reason to celebrate. Teachers are continually looking for ways to celebrate their students' work without investing deeply into budgets. The Avery Name Badges to the trick!

Had to get 3 assistants to help guest peel the name badge from it's backing. More than half stuck to the backing and started tearing. I've used Avery for many years and have never before had this problem. This was name badges 25395. I had several batches and the problem was in all of them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Name Badges At the church where I work at, we decided that people really did not know each other. We came up with Name Tag Sunday on the second Sunday of every month. Now we needed name tags. Using the cardboard in a plastic holder did not work because holders would leave the church. We tried cheap 2 up name badges, but they did not stick very well to most clothing. I love Avery's address labels, so I tried Avery 5395 Name Badges. Using the template I was able to put our church logo on the badges and people had no problem having them stay on even if they took it off to reposition it, it still stayed put. I could put them through our color laser printer with no problem either. And what else is nice is it comes in a normal sheet size for easy printing but you can pop out the badges with the paper backing so you just have the name badges and not a whole sheet that people have to take from. Eveyone loved the new name badges especially since we could make them our own with our logo.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing This name badge label were amazing. i had we had a party game that we played where there were different characters written on someone's back for example: Dorthy, from finding nemo. then this person would ask other people questions to get hint of who they were. but the person who was being asked could only say yes or no. this made my party a huge hit and everyone loved it this is why i love avery and will always recommend avery and any of their products. they are the best!!!!;)

Now with Avery's self-adhesive removable name badges. I have no complaints. They are simple to use and print. No more alignment issues or printer james. No more objections or complaints from the people who have to wear them. Holes in clothing or sticky residue are not an issue. The flexibility of the badge is a great enhancement becasue the name badge not only stays on but the edges remain flat. Thanks Avery for developing this flexible name badge. .

I found it much better to buy directly from Avery as I received several packs through Amazon that must have been very old as they were very hard to remove from the sheets. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sheet gets jammed in printer! I bought these from Amazon and saw the high reviews. Unfortunately, EVERY time I put the labels in MP tray it was getting jammed!! The paper is too thin. I'm usually happy with Avery products but NOT this name tag label.
