As an IT professional, this is a great accessory to help extend lifecycle of older, but working equipment. I do a lot of volunteer work and take my laptop to use because it has my custom-configured tools on it. My various clients have differing, sometimes bare-bones and many times obsolete equipment setups, so connecting KVM switches, for example, to their display or projection devices is often a challenge. This adapter is well-built and works.

The only thing I don't like about it: The screw holders are pressed in not threaded. Dont overtighten them if you want to be able to remove cable in future.

If this thing gets touched at all it disconnects your monitor. If you have 2 or more monitors then everything on your desktops get moved to the other monitor and you have to then stop what you are doing and reset this adapter and then rearrange your desktop.

Another quality product from Tripp Lite
Tripp Lite cable products are superbly made and reasonably priced. The one suggestion that I have is to offer multipacks for us sysadmins/engineers, so that we don't have all of that packaging to deal with. When I get multiples of the same items I put them all into one package and throw away the rest of the bags, which is rather wasteful.

Product appears to be solidly constructed DisplayPort-to-DVI adapter compatible with DVI-D cable. DP connector is barely small enough for two adapters used together in dual-monitor setup with Dell WD19DC docking station. Thus far adapters seem to be working well with no issues.

Had a DVI monitor connected to my PC through a DVI-to-USB adapter, but needed to free up the USB port. This adapter went through one of the displayports, and fit snugly into the existing DVI cable. Performs well. Good monitor resolution.
