The canvas was well under the weight limit, and now I will be losing money from my security deposit for my lease. Not super happy!

It held the power strip up, but one morning my son heard a crash and looked over to find the power cord had fallen from the wall and taken a small piece of paint/drywall with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ripped off paint I am renting an apartment and opted for "non damaging" method of hanging pictures. When my partner hung pictures but didn't use a level I wanted to remove from the wall and rehang so the pictures were level since the command strips are supposed to be damage free hanging, I thought it would be no big deal. They ripped through paint damaging the wall in numerous places making the walls look terrible. I was particular in buying the higher rated ones to hold more weight than I was hanging. I even bought the tool box velcro hangers and used for a shelf that fell off the wall pulling through the paint (even some drywall) and denting/cutting through the linoleum flooring. So irritated and now I am losing my $2000 deposit.

I really like these strips because if the photo is crooked, you just adjust the photo until it is level. I love that they are available in different sizes and color options to blend with my decor and they hold on strong until you’re ready to take them down. Then they release clean and easy, which means no patching or touch-up paint. I added these to our stairwell to hold the baby’s coats and hats out of the way. I have to buy new frames for my pictures and repaint my wall after trying to hang my pictures. There’s nothing better than hearing glass breaking when the strips let go and the precious pictures hit the floor. I won’t ever be spending another cent on this junk.

Since this is in my college dorm room, I now have to pay a fee of over $50 for them to fix the wall. I'm nervous to remove the other canvas because I know it is only going to cause more da mage therefore increasing my fee. Truly dissapointed in this product. I trusted it on my walls and now I'm paying the price.

We needed to mount a dash cam in our car, but it only came with one mounting strip and it became damaged in the process. We used this, and voila! We can move the dash cam from car to car with ease, and it doesn't damage the car or the dash cam. We've also used it on a screen that covers our french doors when it's nice enough to have them open. They velcro to the door frame, but the included velcro pulls off easily, and then the screen billows about. These hanging strips allow us to easily hang the screen when we use it, and then remove it when spring and fall are over and we can't have the doors open any more. I love the fact you do not have to pound nails in the walls & if you want to redecorate you have to patch the holes. Plus, it is so much easier to hang evenly & no mess to clean up from pounding nails into the drywall. Matter of fact, I use a lot of your other products from securing wires, hanging Christmas lights, using the ones for the shower to hang my unit to set a bar of soap in. Twice. That’s right, I had the pack with six strips, and I was only using 4, so I tried a second time with the two leftover strips. Same exact result.

For example, the paint comes off the wall with the adhesive. It's frustrating. This product eliminates that issue while still securely holding my photos on the wall. As long as you follow the instructions properly, they work. The 1st one I tried, I did not clean the wall with alcohol, therefore the strip came off. However on the 2nd try, it worked. Command hooks are conceptually a great solution to this problem and we require that our tenants use the product rather than traditional picture hooks with nails. Unfortunately when tenants are moving out they frequently don't remember the specific instructions on how to remove the hooks and don't have the package around to review. Consequently we frequently end up with damage from improper removal of the hooks.

The alcohol prep (which is the only method prescribed to prepare the walls) dulled and removed the paint off my walls. There should be a warning to try this technique first; the only warning is not to use on freshly painted walls, but my walls were painted over two years ago.

Also used for installing the paper towel dispenser under the cabinets to not damage the cabinet. Used under the sink to hang up a dustpan for easy access and plan on using to install a rack on the inside of the cabinet doors as well. The uses for command products in general are amazing when it comes to RV's.

They "click" firmly together, you can pull them apart and reposition again and again so the picture is level. The rugged, strong fastening material supports a great deal of weight. Those we used in my daughters dorm room removed cleanly after more than a year without issue. I love them.

With this product just peel, position and press. if it is not perfect just adjust. It's so easy! Then you can remove the picture and remove the hook without damaging the wall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I LOVE these. These picture hanging strips are great. I have 2 large dogs and they often when excited will jump up and accidentally knock frames out of their place. Since I reinstalled all of the frames using these strips I haven't had a single problem. I LOVE that the frames can't become crooked like they can using nails. I also love that if you put up your frame using the strips and find that it is a little crooked, you can always remove it and straighten it out and it will reattach just fine. I have put one of my favorite photos right next to the front door, my door is very hard to shut so you have to slam it a few times to get it in place to lock, with these strips I don't have to worry about the force of slamming the door knocking my frame off the wall. I have never tried to remove them so I don't know how well that works but as for installing and when in use these are GREAT!

Before using the strips, I highly recommend wiping away any excess dirt, keeps the glue from losing its adhesiveness. I have even used it for large picture frames as well. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrible . Doesn't stick to wall. I followed the instructions, using more strips than recommended, just to be safe. On a (less than 6pounds) 16x20 frame, I used 4 sets, two on each side. I have used these on something smaller than 8x10 and it worked fine, but for anything larger than 8x10, it doesn't matter how many strips you use. It WILL NOT HOLD. Ironically, I was initially pleased with the result and went to the store to buy more. When I returned, my picture frame had fallen and knocked down other things during the descent. Three of the four sets just did not adhere to the painted plaster (smooth) wall and the 4th set came apart at the velcro connection. Since the brand new box had slightly longer strips, I thought I'd give them a try in addition to whatever slight stickiness may be salvaged from the fallen frame. I added FOUR more sets, covering the whole back outer edge of the frame (including the old strips from the first attempt). I pressed for almost a minute pushing my forearms into the sides to apply constant pressure on each whole side. This time, it didn't even last a few minutes. I'm very disappointed and will try to return the newest box (I doubt I have the receipt for the first box and I used 4 sets already on the small frame a few weeks ago).

I followed the directions completely, even waited longer before I hung up the pictures and about two hours later, both frames fell to the floor. I almost lost the money that I spent on the frames,however it was fortunate that the frames did not break. I would not recommend the strips to anyone and I would not use them again.

It used to drive me nuts, all the pictures I'd hang on the wall would get bumped and always end up looking crooked. These strips not only fixed that problem, but they made it SO MUCH EASIER to hang my pictures! I'm not one to measure and carefully place the pictures up, I like to put it up fast and be done. If you put a nail in and put it in the wrong spot you would get a hole or it the picture was to heavy it would get a hole. Sometimes the nail will just put a hole in the wall and there is no way to fix it easily. With the command picture strips you just peel them off and move them. I can now have pictures on my wall and not have to worry about unfixable holes.

I love the look, but it's nearly impossible to hang pictures without sending cracks spider-webbing out from the hanging site. The command strips are perfect for this type of surface! I put my stuff up on the wall and everything looked real nice, it's been up for a couple months now. I just moved into a new house anyway I was sitting at my dining room table the other day and all of a sudden there was a crash and I looked up and my HANGIING HAD FELL OFF THE WALL! Don't know if the heat melted the glue or what but the strips came right off the wall and were no longer able to adhere to the wall at all. So now I am back to square one. Juat glad it didn't fall on one of my cats!

Followed the directions exactly, even used extra strips to ensure the pictures would stay even though they were way below the supposed weight limit but everything came crashing down within 24 hours and some even took chunks of paint with them.

I purchased these the first time due to the fact we purchased a new RV and we wanted to have pictures on the walls to make it feel like home, but we didn't want to pound holes in the walls, so I bought these not thinking that I would be able to put up very heavy pictures, but if any of you out there know how heavy a home interior picture that measures about 14 X 16 or maybe even a bit bigger is I have one up using 4 of these, one in each corner just to be safe, I really don't think I would need anymore than 2 but better to be safe than sorry. I also wanted to move a pic. that I had put up so I removed the strips and they came off as they claim, easy and clean. I LOVE THEM AND WILL CONTINUE TO BUY THEM!!!

These aree great Put one on each side at the top corners and it will hang really level and allow you to hang heavy thing. The mirror is quite heavy and it is nice level and sturdy. Well I couldn't have been more disappointed that less than 15 minutes of them being on the wall they fell and shattered. Two brand new picture frames broken because I believed in a product that did not hold up to what it promised. Now I'm out my money not only on this product but my two beautiful frames. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT UNLESS YOU WANT TO WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

There are only liners--they have no "mates" so there is nothing for it to "velcro" to. Went on line and found same instructions there that are on back of package. Am I supposed to buy a package containing the opposing strips? Very disappointed.

I sure do any many times I found that the hole I made was in the wrong place. you have no such worries with picture hanging strips by command. They hold better than a nail does too. I have never had a picture accidentally fall, even with three rambunctious children in the house, since I switched to using command picture hanging strips. The strips allow you to make minor adjustments unlike nails to make sure your picture is hung just the way you like it. When you are ready to rearrange simply detach the picture from the wall and remove the strip on the wall. Easy and no paint damage. Picture handing strips are perfect for home owners, renters, college students, and children!

I've used them to hang plaques on my knockdown textured wall for over 7 years now, and they're still holding. As with all Command product, proper surface prep helps adhesion a lot. I usually do a quick wipe down with rubbing alcohol (test a hidden area first), and mount the strips without a load for a few hours. Never failed on me. I used on my bulletin boards that had previously been held by doublesode wall mount tape, which failed. The Command Medium Picture Hanging Strips did the trick and are holding them in place. You just stick it one whatever you want to hang (you can hang way more than just photos) then stick it on the wall! The nice this with the velcro is that if you didn't get it completely straight the velcro allows you to move the object a little in each direction until you get it just right!

I have a set of 3 pictures, no glass, light canvas,not heavy at all. The largest one came off first and the medium one came off yesterday. There was no damage to the wall, it just did not stick to the wall. I waited a while before hanging any weight, but it did not matter. I would not recommend these at all.

Holes in the walls leave the wall so tacky looking. For the longest I refused to hang anything and would try to conjure up a way to hang things without nails... then I came across Command Strips. OMG! I almost went crazy! I love these things. I have used them to hang my 32 sq ft. business boards on my walls. (That's the full length of a large wall). And when I'm ready to take my board down or replace it I don't have to worry about a mess or looking at those horrible, tacky holes in the wall. Thank you 3M. P.S The next genius idea is mine. LOL. I used the medium picture hanging strips and put the picture up on the wall. I will say, it seemed a little tricky to remove the picture once I had it where I wanted it, without removing the side that sticks to the wall. But easier than hooks and picture wire! Rated 5 out of 5 by from You Can Do SO MUCH! Our family loves this product so much, it would really take too long to explain all the ways we use it. We use all of the sizes but find that we are surprised even when we have miscalculated the weight of something it still held even with the smallest sized ones. Things We Use Them For: * Hang pictures of all types. * Affix remote controls to a central location where they never get lost. * Hang child's artwork. * Affix things in the car for hands-free and easy to access purposes. * Affix MP3 players/PDA's and other electronics to work out equipment and other places for quick retrieval and their safety. * Affix yarn/fuzzy cloth-made items to the wall or car. * Affix something to a cloth/fuzzy surface (by putting the 'wall side' to the item instead of on the wall.) (Options are endless.) What makes it better than nails or other things? * Pictures and other items hung never have to be 'out of place' because the items don't 'move' or adjust with time but if you want to adjust them you easily can. * Easy removal for cleaning or use of pictures and devices. * Easy removal means you can switch out pictures from room to room so they get rotated and enjoyed. * Easy removal means you can switch out other devices or items to the same locations as the situation merits. * The type of adhesive protects walls and surfaces from other products which cause holes, remove paint or gum things up with glues that are hard to remove. Tips: When you affix something with it please be sure to move it back and forth a little as you push in, it helps the pieces meet more snugly. If you use it to do our idea of affixing cloth or things to cloth or yarn items be aware that the hold is really secure and only do it if you feel the item wont be snagged in some way. With our knitted items it doesn't hurt anything but we do carefully tug at it instead of just pulling. Clean the area first and allow to dry before using on a wall type surface. Allow some time, a few minutes, before putting an item to hang off of it and be sure to put pressure running your finger down the entire strip when you place it down so no air bubbles or gaps exist. Sometimes putting the pull tab toward the top can keep it from showing if you're space crunched. Place the tabs in different directions so that gravity or occasional vibration isn't as likely to effect the 'hold'. Place the tabs in a single direction at the same locations from place to place throughout the house and only remove it and switch out things from the direction away from the tab. So if the tab is on the west side of the picture only remove it from the east. That way all the pictures will have the same pattern to follow no matter what their size and will be less likely to peel off the surface. If you use it in a kitchen area for something don't put it in a really hot or greasy area if you want it to last longer. (Humidity could relax the hold.) The only con really is that sometimes the little 'hairs' on them start to mash in a bit so just be sure to follow what I said above about wiggling it a bit as you affix the items. Enjoy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from hook and loop tabs These are marvelous! I literally use these to hang EVERYTHING!!! I didn't want nail wholes in my newly repaired walls. We lived several years with no decorations adorning those bare walls. Then one day I came across these beautiful Command Hooks and Tabs. I don't even remember how I got started or where I heard of them? However, my walls are now fully decorated. everything from little lightweight wreaths and signs, clear up to heavy metal hooks holding lanterns and large 24 x 36 inch picture frames! Everything holds strong and no nail holes!! Thank you Command Products!!

We usually stay in a furnished rental however it's usually cold and impersonal, using inexpensive frames, a computer/printer and command picture hanging strips we can personalize a temporary place very inexpensively without damaging walls or traveling with a toolbox and wall art!!

When I went to take them down 2 out of the three strips completely ripped the paint off of my walls all under where they were, even though I followed exactly how the directions said to take them off!!

These strips solved that issue and are well concealed. It gives the illusion that my frames are just placed on the wall without any additional tools.

We have internal poster campaigns frequently, and these are great for hanging our posters, which are mounted on 3/8" foamboard. Also great for mounting posters for presentations off-site when easels are not readily available. Mounts easily and easy to remove without residue. A fantastic product!

I was thrilled to discover the Command Picture Hanging Strips. Not only does it make hanging things easier without doing damage, but it also gives you the ability to move and re-decorate without having to re-paint the walls! I use them during the holidays to hang seasonal decorations, and use them in all rooms for photos, posters and even sconces. They do not leave a mark on the wall when you remove them, and they are very easy to remove. I highly recommend them.

My boyfriend had made me a big posterboard of pictures and I really wanted to hang it up so I purchased some of these strips. They work AMAZINGLY. It's great to have their finished projects where others can see them because they are always proud whenever someone compliments their work. The only problem I have had is that every so often, some of the paint comes off the wall when I remove them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Metal Dry Erase Calendars Nightmare I found these great metal dry erase calendars, each one a single month, for our office. After fussing for almost two hours to arrange them in a square using nails (and many nail holes later) we found a problem... The idea was that as planning calendars, once the current month was done, we could shuffle them around with next month becoming the current month and so on. However, when we tried it for the first time we discovered that the nail mounts are in slightly DIFFERENT places on each calendar. So while they all look perfect in the original position, they looked terrible when swapped around! Command Picture Hanging Strips to the rescue. We put two strips on every calendar panel and lined all four up in less than 15 min. Since all four panels are exactly the same size, the strips on the wall are interchangeable. Now when it's time to swap them, they zip off easily and reattach to their new spot in seconds! I should have start with the hanging strips in the first place.

One picture frame came down in the summer and I thought it might have been due to the heat and humidity, but it is now November and another frame has now ended up on the floor. I have only used Command srips 2 times before to hang a wreath but sopmeone bought my son a Hot Wheels track that has to be assembled to the wall and it came with Command Strips. After I assembled it and relized how strong and easy they are I thought "hey why don't I use them to hang the pictures". So I returned the nails and used the strips and I am sooo pleased I did. The Command picture hanging strips helped me do this and the walls are fine!

Command strips are a great way for me to hang pictures and posters in my dorm room and I don't have to worry about hammers, nails, and making sure the holes are lined up. After you paint your walls the first thing you don't want to do is put a hole in your wall and this product eliminates that issue. It also make the lining up of pictures simpler, no matter how hard you try to measure the distance you always have to take the nail out and move it a little more. Not any more. I love this product. I can't wait to see what you come up with next. Thank you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fell off within 2 hours of placement I bought these strips to hang up my sister's picture that I bought her for her birthday and the strips lost their hold, causing the picture (with a glass front) to fall. The frame was warped and the glass shattered all over the floor. I would suggest a nail in the wall because then you can be sure it won't fall. I can fix a hole in the wall, I can't fix shattered glass. Don't waste your money on these.

The only issues I've see are 1) the porous clay surface needs to be primed or painted (just like it says for brick or concrete block) and 2)my walls are finished with sand in the plaster making too rough a surface for the tape. I had to sand the spot smooth. Be sure to watch your surfaces and these work great!

This product works like magic. I now hang everything on my walls with Command and now use the decorative wall hangers to hang items in my closets. Wonderful product. Love it and will always use it. They are so easy to use and they work well. I have decorated the hallway of our home with photos of our children, my home office with photos, maps and other things which were so easy to put up, and when I did a few wrong, taking them down was a snap and it left no marks at all on the walls. That is worth the price in itself.

Very important to clean surfaces with alcohol as directed, and to be patient with the wait time to allow the "sticky" to do its thing before hanging the picture or frame. As a school teacher I have several posters and signs to hang in the classroom. I have had no accidents off any of my big frames falling. We have had 2 significant earthquakes in Southern California in the past years and these strips have passed the test in commanding '"a-stay-put-on-the-wall-strength". I will have family and friends ask, (everytime we put something new on the wall) "How'd you hammer it it straight?" We always answer, "Without a hammer or nails!"

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't recommend for long time use!! I bought these to hang up some family photos. At first I was thrilled. You could reposition the pictures with ease and no holes! But then, after about 6 months some of my pictures started falling off the wall (unfortunately breaking the frames). Some stripped the paint off the wall where the sticky side had detached. (And I have primed walls with high quality paint). Leaving touch ups to be done in various areas of the house. After about a year, all of the pictures I used the strips on had fallen. So with the cost of the strips, the cost of frames, and the time to rehang everything and do touch ups....I'd stick with nails! At least the pictures will stay on the wall as long as you'd like them to.

We live in a home that has been remodeled and updated but it still has plaster and lath walls. I was overjoyed to see how well the product worked! Not only did it hold the pictures securly but I even pulled a couple of them off the wall at one week intervaks for a month, there was absolutley no damage to the wall or paint! I pass the information on to friends and family and even gave them a couple to try. It was the same for all of them. One of them even used it on wallpaper and still no damage! This is anawesome product and I have found out that teachers love these as gift for thier cassroom! Thank you Donna

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Command Strips are THE BEST!! We were homeowners for 15+ years. Currently, we are renting a home and we have to be careful about putting nails in the walls. I had never used command strips until a friend suggested them when I told her how all of my fun pictures were in a stack in the garage because I was afraid to hang them. Wow! I felt like the world was mine as I hung all of my favorites all around the house! When my parents visited, they brought me a beautiful antique picture (see attached photo) that had a fragile frame with no hangers on the back. I was afraid to attach one because I didn't want to crack the frame with those tiny nails. Command Strips to the rescue again! I attached one on each edge of the back of the frame and stuck it to the wall! Beautiful! I have also used the standard hooks from Command to hang my purses along the wall in my master closet! Talk about fabulous! I can see them all and they're easy to rotate and don't take up any space! You have to love vertical storage!

They are invisible and allow easy placement of all the parts. I love that you stick the strips on the sculpture and then place it on the wall exactly where you want it, without having to measure between hangers and hope that everying matches up.

As a professional photographer, with a modest reputation in the region, I was thrilled over the opportunity to do so. However, my dilemma came when my hosts informed me of the 'no nail' policy (I don't blame them) in their beautiful wall paper. I was aware of 'Command picture hanging strips, but on wall paper? I had to try. With only six weeks left to print, frame, and hang a goal of sixty exhibition quality prints, the race was on. First, I tested an 8 x 10 frame, with just two Command strips, on wallpaper at home. After two weeks it was still hanging To make a long story longer... we completed hanging sixty prints, ranging in size from 8x10 to 20x30, the afternoon of the planned evening reception for over 200 people. The reception was a huge success and all prints hung for the two weeks run of the exhibit and not one mark of any kind left on the wall. I am sold on Command Picture Hanging Strips. There are no more holes in my studio and home, and I supply them, as an option to nails to all my customers.

I thought maybe the Velcro didn't snap together all the way so I tried again. This time the frame broke in half leaving more marks on the wall than a nail would have. I'm out the money for the frame, the command strips, and damage to the wall.

I have recently hung several pictures ranging from lightweight to medium-heavy, and the strips are so easy to use! These hangers also made it easy to move them a bit for position symmetry and to reposition if slightly off-level.

When I carefully tried to remove the strip from the wall, it took off the paint and plaster. Now I must repaint an entire room. Clearly, small holes in the wall are better than this. And since I have many pictures hung with command, I will probably need to repaint the entire house when I'm ready to sell.

I live in old military housing with cinder block walls and am charged for maintenance to come out & drill holes to hang things, these are a great alternative b/c it saves me money & they do not damage the paint! The only issue I had is from the strips I used to hang a small picture in my bathroom, the moisture from the shower over time probably loosened the stickiness and after a month my picture fell. I had received a few of these strips for free to try out from a booth and I hadn't really thought about using them as I am used to nails and a hammer for hanging my pictures on the wall. So I threw them into my tool bag and there they sat. When I finally needed to hang some photos up, I had NO nails! UGH! So I grabbed the Command strips I had, stuck them to my photo back and I couldn't believe how well it worked! I was thrilled! They didn't rattle on the wall, I could adjust them if I needed to, I could change the photos if I wanted a different set up, etc. It was so user friendly I was actually upset when I ran out ;) I will not go back to nails and a hammer for hanging EVER! I recently moved and didn't want to drill holes all over the place so I tried the Damage Free Hanging strips and they are great, a mirror and pictures now adorn my walls. I have 3 children and it's so hard to NOT be able to display my pictures and my art on the walls. Then I ran across the Command Strips for pictures and at first I wasn't sure if it would work. Six months later and my pictures are still hanging stong on the walls and I love it when people come in and ask how I got them to stay on the walls without using nails and my landlord is loving it as well!! This product performed perfectly and I was so pleased that I bought more. Even some hooks for in my kitchen. The directions are easy to follow and when I decided to move a picture the strip came off, leaving no mark. Couldn't be happier!

At first, it seemed as if they would work, but after about a week, pictures began falling off the walls. I placed additional strips on some of the pictures to try to keep them up. Again, it seemed to work, but now two to three weeks later, they are beginning to fall again. Based on the cost of the product, and the loss of money from damaged frames, I wouldn't recommend them.

Suggested by my new landlord to use your products was an excellent idea, although more expensive, UNTIL...I moved from the location when removing each type of COMMAND product I purchased peeled off LAYERS of paint and plaster from the wall's sheet rock surface. I was only saved from redeeming the cost of wall repair from my security deposit because it was the landlords suggestion to use them. Because I used various types or styles of COMMAND and various weighted recommendations, I would like to say that SOME of them didn't cause damage, but sadly, they ALL did. Effective while hanging, but more destructive than a nail hole that can easily be repaired with caulk or spackle. My new dilemma is that I now have cinder block walls and can only hang things by drilling or have permanent echo. I won't use your product.

I was ready to decorate but didn't want to put nail holes all over my new walls. I tried the medium picture strips, and boy, am I ever happy I did! They are still hanging strong after months of being up. I also changed the positioning of some of the pictures and they came off cleanly...just as they said they would. I have previously used this before in my old place which has different sort of wall paint, if you peel it correctly, it will not leave any marks but definitely does not work on matte wall.

I have a brick wall in my home, putting a hole in it is impossible for me to do, the pictures hang beautiful. At christmas I hang a small wreath on a large mirrow in my den, command sticks tight and is easy to remove when holidays is over. I use them through out our camper to hang a clock, calander and pot holders along with many other items. Command products are easy to use, You can redo your walls yourself . I recently redid my kitchen and was anxious to use the picture hanging strips as I had 8 pictures i wanted up. I also had three small nic-nac shelves and one medium sized one. So far 3 pictures have fallen, only broke glass on one, and 3 of the 4 shelves. Broke one antique pitcher,chipped 2 cheep nic-nacs. I am so disappointed. Also one of my hooks gave loose which has never happened before. Don't have pictures right now but will forward to customer service.

I purchased several packs of the command strips and got busy. Even though I was only using 4x6, 5x7, and 8x10 frames, I opted to use the large size for all of them since the frames were silver. I used one strip for the 4x6 and 1 or 2 for the 5x7 (depending on the weight) and 2 for the 8x10. Based on the directions and weight suggestions, this should've been plenty. Within one hour, 3 pictures fell. I'm out $ for the command strips, my frames are scratched and dented, and I have a few nicks in my hardwood floors!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from That was easy! My title says it all. I can not tell you how many times I go to hang a picture and have to move the "nail" a quarter of an inch this way or that way. My down stairs walls are riddled with holes, but not any more. The Command Strips for hanging picture frames is (for me) a miracle. I can hang a whole wall of pictures in HALF the time it use to take me. If a picture is off by a little I just pop it off and restick it in it's proper spot. If in a week I change my mind (have been known to do that) no more having to patch and repaint the walls. Thanks for making decorating so easy!

When I returned the frame was on the floor with a broken tab; and on the way down it knocked down and broke another frame and landed on some tea lights shattering the base of them. Overall three damaged products two of which are going to have to be tossed., I'm very disappointed and will go back to thumbtacks.

Today, I realized that by putting the adhesive strips in a grid pattern on the wall, I could easily switch around the items displayed, and if I cut the strips into smaller pieces, for the posterboard items that weigh less, I could use the strips even more. I am super happy with the results!

I was concerned that this was across the hall from the washer and dryer and that some humidity or heat might affect the adhesive and the frames would fall. Not so! They have been on the wall for over a year, not one strip has come loose from the wall or the frame and I couldn't be happier or more satisfied with the results. (I might suggest an investment in a small picture frame level. It fits over the corner of the picture you want to hang so you know it's properly aligned.) I eventually put some tiny framed mirrors in the 'empty spaces' and when friends look in the mirror I tell them that's their latest picture on the wall. I put the little mirrors up with the small Command strips

It happened last Christmas when I removed two large 3M hooks - you know your product that supposedly doesn't damage walls? It did hold my garland nicely however the nail holes that I patched and painted the year before that are not visible which is a helluva lot more than I can say about your product. I promised myself I wouldn't go that route again. It's been nine months now. I guess I forgot. I would like to thank you yet again for the nice big brown spot in my hallway where your product once again ripped the paint right off the wall. I followed your instructions to a "t". Your product does not deliver and I think I deserve a refund.

I came home to find a very nice gift from my daughter laying on the floor broken. That broke my heart. They do not work on anything I have tried them on. When I first saw it, all I could think of was what a pain it would be to try to figure out where the nails should go so that there's equal spacing between each frame. NO WORRIES with Command Picture Hangers! Just attach them to the back of the frame, level, easily use a spacer to determine how far it should be from its neighbors, press to the wall and WOW! The best part? Quick and easy to change the fabric to match the season.

I have always had a problem hanging pictures, could never line up the little bitty hanger on the frame with the nail on the wall. These made the job so simple. Just press the strips together, then stick one side to the frame. Then press the picture on the wall where you want it. Easy! I will never use nails again! Rated 5 out of 5 by from Picture Frame Hooks and Big Hooks I use the picture frame hooks for all my pictures all year long and in the bathrooms for hanging towels or robes. I have more for Christmas time. I have never had anything fall off the wall even when the doors are slamed in my house. That scares me because I have four boys but it has not happened yet and I don't think it ever will. At Cristmas time, I use them all over the house and on my front porch. I will always buy Command Products and will not use nails in my walls. Thank You for making a great product.

When we discovered how versatile they are and how easily they can be removed without leaving marks, we were hooked. We now use them for hanging all of our pictures, holiday decorations, etc. These are definitely some of the best products on the market.

It all started with the door hooks, which are just as great! Now, I'm walking around the house changing the old "hook in the wall" (which my husband hates) and replacing with the Command strips. They are wonderful, they hold my pictures sturdy and when I want to move them you just pull the tab and off they come. I wish I would have invented this, my house would have lot less nail holes. They are great for hanging a memo board on my door, and pictures on the wall, even for securing my mirror to my door so it doesn't bang against it when I open or close my door. My walls would probably be bare if it weren't for these strips because we aren't allowed to alter the room in any way because it's a dorm room.

We haven't had a record player in years but still held on to these old albums that meant so much to us when we were younger. I loved the strong visual and emotional statement they would make. Command strips were used to make them flush with the wall and not harm the covers or the apartment walls. They were easy to hang and reposition. And most importantly, at holiday time we swapped out the albums for vintage holiday album covers!

I tried one package of med picture hanging strips. Now I'm a command strip junkie. I gotten all of my friends and family hooked (no pun intended). They are the best thing since sliced bread!! I also tried the small hooks, large hooks, poster hanging, lights. It is so easy to move them and also use the replacement tabs. I absolutely LOVE them!!!!!!

When I say all, I mean 40-50 items. We bought these with a plethora of other Command products in hopes it would get the job done. After much hesitation, we decided to try this product on the light items first. We even trimmed them thinner as the first item she hung was a metal piece of artwork. After hanging the first 2, we started moving to the heavier items. I can not tell how happy we were that they worked so well. As someone who hates to put holes in the walls this is a great product for me. I went out and bought some for myself to finally hang some pictures I was afraid to commit to. I carefully followed the instructions on the package and hung my picture on the wall. Less than 5 minutes later it crashed to the floor, breaking the glass. Now I have to make another trip to the store to find something else to hang my picture and buy new glass. I am very very disappointed in this product.

I find things on the floor all the time. I am back to trying to find something that will hold her puzzles up. I am glad the puzzle was not in a glass frame or she could have gotten cut up by broken glass.

Cheap dorm rooms means having to be super careful about what you put on the walls but with the picture hanging strips i can hang not only pictures but other things like mirrors and stuff. Then at the end of the year they remove easily and I never get charged for damages!

I use medium and small hanging strips all around the house - No more drilling holes for hooks (especially important as the house is a rental) - easy to move, remove and relocate pictures - never had any damage to wall or paintwork. I now have ~40 pictures up on the walls. And, best of all, when it comes time to move, I can just remove all the pictures, protect the backings with new Command strips, and then re-hang them in the next house.

However: I did attempt to hang a large picture with the medium sized strips, thinking that I could just add a few extra strips. That didn't work! Someone slammed the door and the large picture fell off the wall. But it was larger than the recommended size. Overall, these strips are really good - we tried to remove one picture and ended up having to scrape the adhesive off the wall.

Seemed like a really good idea, especially given all the good reviews I had heard. The strips held pretty well for a few months. Then one day I came home from work, and there was the frame, laying on the floor with one of the metal supports broken out of it. Thankfully, the glass was not broken, but the frame was damaged. I don't think I can really recommend something that will expose your things to risk and potential damage. Very dissatisfied.

Needless to say we had to quickly vacate the unit so repairs could be made. When we returned (3 months later!) we basically had a brand new condo. Everything had to be redone; flooring, new dry wall, new kitchen and bathroom cabinets, new counter tops - EVERYTHING was new! We even had to replace most of our furniture. When I started to decorate I decided to try Command products since we had newly painted walls. I had never used the picture hangers before and they worked fabulously! I have redecorated every room using several of the Command products! Now with the holidays approaching, I will be able to remove some oF the current artwork and replace it with Christmas items - with no new holes in the wall!! and after the holidays, I can switch them back!! I don't have to worry about putting extra holes in the walls (especially if I simply want to relocate a picture). We have them to hold frames of various sizes and styles, and I recently used a set to hang up my daughter's heavy vinyl birthday banner. We'd had trouble getting it to stay flat in past years, but these strips worked like a charm! I was a bit skeptical these would work especially on slightly heavy items, but they work perfectly. I purchased medium and large strips to hang my curtain rods, pictures, and other decor items and they are holding perfectly. No holes, and they come easily leaving my walls still looking new.

I use Command adhesive picture hanging strips for all of my art, tap lights, even bathroom mirrors. This particular set was received for no cost in exchange for my review but I always keep a package or two in different sizes in a shoebox (its the “command adhesive box”) just in case I need to hang something. I used this set to hang up these glass-front pieces of art that are sort of like shadow boxes. One strip per shadow box, horizontally on the top, and they have been up for a week with no issue. When 3m offered me a sample to try in exchange for a review, I jumped at the chance. We received some frames when I got married, but we never hung them because I don't like to have the same picture decor up all year round. With these, I thought it was perfect because you can easily remove the frame from the wall. ' You do need a little practice because if you are a perfectionist like me, you need to align the stickies on both the frame & the wall. I found using a flat metal ruler was helpful. Apart from that, I am super glad I discovered these because not only can I easily switch pictures on my frame due to the easy hanging... but I can move it around the house and not worry about little holes in my wall. Also, the strips took off the paint on the walls. I really wanted these to work because I did not want to use regular picture hangers and put holes in the walls.

First of all it’s not damage free; the strips ripped the paint off of my wall. They don’t hold up to the indicated weight and they don’t work. The adhesive on the medium strips are too weak to hang onto a frame and are useless. Waste of money and absolute trash.

I bought these hangers and they work great. I have hung different size pictures and use the weight to determine how many to use but they really hold tight. Removing the pictures to level is real easy and there is room to adjust slightly after both sides of the strips are attached without moving the strip halves. Great product that really works and no holes in the new paint !!

I was attracted to this product as they claim to be "come off cleanly" (which I took to mean without damaging the paint finish on the wall. Followed instructions carefully but within 2 days the strips on two of the pictures had failed and the pictures had fallen, luckily without breaking. Decided to remove the strips from the wall and revert to good old picture hooks nailed into the wall. Followed instructions carefully regarding removal from the wall but took off paint so now left trying to match paint finish on wall. Won't use again. Far less damage done to the wall with good old nails and hooks.

Although the board is pretty light since it’s made by a cardboard and cork, within a day, it fell off.. Even though I watched their video and followed their instructions carefully, left them loner then it was said before I hanged my board just in case, it didn’t work.. It’s not cheap to buy these and was a complete waste of money. Very disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Didn't work We bought these for my daughter's college dorm. She used 4 12# strips for a small 4-hook wood piece. She hung her size small Northface jacket and a lightweight jacket, totaling maybe 5#, if that of weight. So, we had 48# of strips & they couldn't hold 5#. It fell down. We paid a LOT for these things and now have to buy more again to try to hang up her hooks again. I may have to find something else to use that works. We also had a wooden shelf with glass bottles on it come CRASHING down (broke the shelf and bottles & woke up the other residents. We used 12 LARGE Command Strips for that! 192# of command strips for maybe 10# of weight. Didn't get pictures of that. It was a mess. Normally, these work well for us. I don't know if we got a bad batch or what. They were put on correctly. This is the third year using these in a dorm.

The last few months however I have noticed that the strips don't seem to be as sticky anymore and I have had items fall. Has the glue changed on the strips and that is the reason? Just yesterday I tried putting up a picture frame that is MUCH lighter than ones I have hung in the past but it fell within an hour. I even used 12 paris of strips to try and hold it.

The glass picture frame fell off in the night and smashed. After ringing a local picture hanger, they told me that they get a lot of work from command picture strips failing.

The most recent package seems to be defective and everything I try the keep falling off the wall. they will fall while the older hanging items are still adhered. I tried to call customer service and they were EXTREMELY unhelpful, blaming me for hanging them wrong or using them improperly. Then they added that I could send it back. Gee thanks for inconveniencing me even more. For such a large company, you would think they would handle these concerns better.

When I went to remove it and followed the instructions to do so it ripped 2 baseball sized sections of paint off my wall. This will now cost me hundreds to fix. I've hung paintings, picture frames, shadow boxes, that contain pet memorials, small bathroom cabinets, heavy iron wall decor and the list goes on, without any issues! After reading some of the negative reviews, it makes me wonder if people are reading the instructions before use. To the people that have had things fall, make sure you're using multiple strips and that you're pushing really hard until you hear the velcro snap together. I've used as many as eight sets of the medium command strips, on one frame, before. It may seem like over kill but, it keeps the frame from falling off the wall. As far as I'm concerned, these things are amazing! Especially for renters.

After putting many hooks into the newly painted walls, I decided to continue my project by purchasing the Command Strips for my pictures. THEY ARE GRAT !!!!! Now my walls will have no holes should I decide to change the display, and I found that there was no trace of a strip in areas where I took down the pictures. I am so anxious to try the other products for my holiday displays, and I am very pleased with the Command Strips I have already used. We have also tried another product with a hook attached. It is in our showers holding the Pouf balls. It has held up very well, considering all the steam that a shower produces.

If you make a mistake or change your mind on an idea simply pull the bottom of the strip slowly and whala it comes off completely and no mess, and you don't have any holes to worry about filling in , no damages. The comand products are so easy and simple to use, anyone can do it ! Command is the only way to hang !

It not only fell off my wall, it ripped the paint and a layer of my wall off my wall! This is not the first time I have used and had issues with these strips. They have come off before when I've used strips that were supposedly supposed to hold more weight than what I've tried putting up. I will not be using these anymore. Never again.

This is a very good alternative and as long as the picture frame is not too heavy, they hold up pretty well. I have two picture frames up now that have been up on the wall for two years. They don't move, are secure and help me to hang my wall decorations and pictures. I plan on buying more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for a multi-frame arrangement I had to hang a grouping of five small canvases, all of different sizes and at different heights, that required very precise alignment. Also, because the pictures would be only an inch apart, they all had to stay perfectly vertical - any tilt would be apparent. So, these strips were a great solution. Minor tweaks to position and alignment were easy, and everything lined up perfectly. Trying to do that with nails and the sawtooth hangers on the art would have been very difficult. Plus some tilting is inevitable with sawtooth hangers as the balance is never perfect. (Of course, there's a Command stabilizer product for that, too!) I even had a chance to check the easy removal feature. One of the pieces was initially positioned incorrectly, and removing the wall-mounts by pulling on the tab worked amazingly well. About the only disadvantage I see is that the art is quite snug against the wall. I normally like a little more air circulation behind the art to avoid picture-sized marks on the wall after a few years. Minor issue, though, particularly since these strips aren't recommended for wallpaper and paint is easy to fix. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I hung these in the evening and by morning all 4 of the hangings had fallen down and one was broken. I am very disappointed in this product and the money I spent. Back to using the nails, which id prefer at this point so no more of my items get broken.

I love to paint so it was very important to me that I display what I love so much. My husband recommended we use command strips to hang our pictures because when we moved we could simply remove the strips and there would be no damage. I have to say I absolutely love them. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Frames on Wall I lived in an apartment where I wasn't allowed to paint the walls and I didn't want tons of nail holes in them. I had seen a great commercial for a beautiful frame and paint idea to spruce up your wall, but knew I couldn't do it. Later that week I found the Command strips while shopping and determined they would be perfect for the job. Rather than painting the wall, I used 2.5" wide ribbon to make the color bands through the center of each row of frames, then I used a medium picture hanging strip on the top right and left of each frame and adhered three of them to the wall spaced visually pleasing vertically, and repeated the process horizontally, creating a matrix of a three x three wall space of black frames with a pop of color with red ribbon behind it. To top it off, I used black and white photos. The Command Strips worked like a dream. My apartment manager began to get mad when she saw what I did, but I surprised her to show her that the frames came off easily and that I hadn't used paint at all. The best thing? When I moved, it took me less than 10 minutes to remove the frames and ribbon and I didn't have any holes to fill!

No nail holes or sticky tape to fix or clean every time a student moves out and a new student moves in. We can reuse them over and over and over. And each student can use whichever hook they want and put them where ever they want. Everyone is happy!

As the children grow/change their pictures do also & we are always changing the pictures on the walls. Were it not for the command strips our home would have been condemned by now. The same thing applies to our sports room where we have autographed pictures from our favorite drag racers. Rated 5 out of 5 by from works perfect with this one trick! After going through two sets of command strips and having my picture fall BOTH times I figured out the secret. Put the strip on the wall where you want to the hang your picture but WITHOUT attaching the other strip and the frame/picture. Let that one strip adhere to the wall overnight. Stick the frame/picture on the next day until the velcro "clicks" and you are good to go!

Rubber pads under the rug sometimes react badly and stick to the floor. Command Hanging strips remove easily and don't damage the floor.

When I painted the wall, there was no damage to repair, and I easy just had to add the wall side to the pictures with the strips still attached to rehang. Something in moving. Worth it. I didn't want holes in the walls. A friend suggested the Command Strip products. I had no idea of the scope/variety of availability !!! So far, we have used the picture hanging strips to hang 8 canvas of different sizes. They're all still exactly where we placed them :-) Since then, we've used other Command products in the closet, kitchen and office. It's fun to see where ELSE we can stick 'em !!!

The hanging strips worked perfectly! The pictures are hanging in an area that gets a lot of traffic, they lay flat, are secure and everyone is happy!
