The landscape for mobility and collaboration solutions is evolving. Changing attitudes and buying habits from decision-makers about mobile and collaborative technologies – the building blocks for the digital workspace – are affecting how organizations are using digital workspace solutions.

To better understand the landscape, CDW surveyed nearly 2,000 IT and non-IT executives from 15 industries who participate in their organizations’ purchasing decisions for digital workspace solutions.

The resulting Digital Workspace Solutions study found that in today’s organizations, non-IT departments play an expanding role in the IT buying process, especially concerning applications and services related to mobile and collaborative technologies.

The study also reveals that the majority of IT and non-IT executives say their organization sees mobile and collaborative strategies as a single entity. This view aligns with CDW’s definition of digital workspace as the culmination of various technology silos coming together to seamlessly connect people and get work done effortlessly, anytime, anywhere and on any device.

Check out the infographic below for the study findings, which answer:

• Who are the true buyers and decision makers for digital workspace solutions?

• How does the changing relationship between IT and other departments affect the selection and application of these technologies?

• What are organizations attempting to accomplish with the digital workspace?
